After a depressing film last week, Bryce doubles down by picking another one this week, with an indie sleeper from the man who made The Strangers. Will Nic find the charm in this low budget horror, or is it doomed to fall flat?

After getting the deep cuts countdown off on the wrong foot, Nic moves on to an ACTUAL favourite with Studio Ghibli's lesser known project from the 80s. Will Bryce get on board with this incredibly depressing piece of work, or will the sadness be too much to bare? 

After Nic made a mockery of the countdown last week, Bryce gets us back on track with his third favourite film from the underrated gems countdown. Will Nic get around this bizarre 90 minute cult classic, or will it fly over his head?

The podcast is bought into disrepute this week as Nic picks his third favourite niche film to kick off the brand new countdown.

Not only is it Bryce's number one pick for the Best Picture countdown, it is also his favourite film of all time. Nic will be tasked with the Milos Forman masterpiece, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Has this film exceeded the complications of time, or has it become a relic of the past? 

For Nic's FAVOURITE FILM of the Best Picture winners category, he has chosen 2014's Birdman. While this has all the trappings of a feature that Bryce would normally despise, can he get involved with the manic nature of this relatively arthouse piece of cinema? 

After gifting Bryce with a grounded drama with Kramer Vs. Kramer, Bryce has returned serve with a grounded drama of his own. For his second favourite film of the Best Picture winners category, Bryce has selected a Clint Eastwood masterpiece in 2004's Million Dollar Baby. Will Nic get on board with this tragic underdog story, or will he be lost to the spectacle? 

In what can only be described as a relatively predictable pick for our friend Nic, his SECOND favourite Best Picture winner is awarded to the 1979 legal family drama Kramer Vs. Kramer. After suffering his first loss of the season last week with All About Eve, can Bryce get on board with a story more grounded in reality? 

For Bryce's third favourite film for the best picture winners list, he picks a Coen Brothers classic in the 2000s epic No Country For Old Men. While this is widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, it is extremely macho. Can Nic get on board with a film that oozes this much manly energy? 

This week the boys kick off a new countdown as Bryce and Nic pick their top three OSCAR FLICKS! Nic gets us underway with All About Eve, a supposedly timeless classic that won it way back in the 1950s. Widely considered one of the greatest films ever made, but will it have the same charm on Bryce?

For Bryce's favourite film of the year, we look at the debut from Aussie filmmaker Michael Shanks, the Alison Brie and David Franco led body horror Together. Nic is hugely surprised by this selection, but can he get on board?

With one episode shy of the 100, Bryce gets us back on track with an ACTUAL FILM and the first Alex Garland with 2024’s Civil War. The question will remain, will Bryce’s final recommendation get Nic on side?

In what could be considered the most controversial episode of Can You Give Me A Flick? Nic chooses potentially the most divisive film ever made for his final pick of the season, but there's a plot twist coming that may potentially anger out entire listener base. 

It’s about that time that Darren Aronofsky makes his long awaited debut on the show, this time in the form of a macho film. Bryce gives Nic one of his favourite films of the year, the Austin Butler led Caught Stealing. Will Nic find enjoyment from the latest effort of a great filmmaker or will he be left wanting more from this genre-mashing affair?

Bryce finishes his mission of giving Nic the third and final film in the Peter Berg trilogy, Patriots Day. Nic hated Lone Survivor and loved Deepwater Horizon, leaving Patriots Day as the decider. Will Nic be bewildered by this film that finds hope in the wake of tragedy, or will he be left unsatisfied?

After failing to sweep Nic away with a horror last week, he jumps on the train with an arthouse horror of his own with the French cult classic Les Diaboliques. Will Bryce be swept away by this piece of French cinema, or is it too little too long ago for his taste!?

After being criticised for being too safe with his recent selections, Bryce gives Nic potentially the grittiest and nastiest film he's ever seen. Eden Lake is a cult classic, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Will Nic be on board with this "hoodie horror", or is it just a tinge too nasty for his taste?

Looking back to his days learning Italian in high school, Bryce recalled the Robert Benigni film that left a lasting impression. Playing right into Nic's hand, will he enjoy this Oscar favourite from the 90s, or will the switcheroo backfire BADLY!? 

After back-to-back disappointments, Nic pulls out the big guns with a 90s Oscar favourite in As Good As It Gets. The Academy loved this film, but will Bryce feel the same way?

After being given a film that is revered last week, Bryce decided to give Nic a film that is equally as iconic. Will Nic get on board with the dark horse in Ben Stiller’s The Cable Guy, or will this be another flop in a long line of flops?
