Kind of a breezy day yesterday so that put a slight damper on SOME things. That east wind did help out in a few different areas though. I'll explain all of that in this report.

Capt. Marty Story: The JoBoy and The Big Blue Marlin
One of the greatest marlin stories to come out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center happened with Capt. Harry Baum on the JoBoy back in 1974. I was still a young mate down in Ponce Inlet, FL and my brother in-law was already a mate with Big Al Foreman at Oregon Inlet. I called my brother in-law all excited one day about a sailfish I had caught, and he burst my bubble with the story you're about to hear...

I'm back at my homestead in Engelhard from Manteo. I enjoyed my time at the 23rd Annual Dare County Boat Builders Foundation Tournament. The weather was super scrappy the entire time but they all caught fish and there were also fish caught over the weekend. I'll get you up to speed with weekend fishing and final tournament results in this report.
