    What’s Really Killing Bodybuilders? | A Serious Conversation S3E43

Mark and I sat down to discuss something that’s been weighing on us both: the string of influencer deaths tied to bodybuilding culture in recent years, and the calories in calories out mindset that ignores the origin of those calories. In this conversation, Mark draws on his own experiences in bodybuilding, and his decades as a physical trainer, to break down what happens when steroids and performance enhancing drugs get combined with a diet loaded in carbs. It’s a combination that masks damage for years until it doesn’t, and the people paying the price aren’t just the athlete influencers, it’s the followers who trust their advice without knowing what’s really going on under the hood.We get into why “eat whatever fits your macros” is dangerous advice when someone’s metabolic health is already being pushed to the edge by PEDs, what Mark has personally witnessed in the gym, and behind the scenes of the fitness industry, and why nutritional quality can’t be an afterthought when you’re influencing thousands of people’s health decisions. This one’s a hard conversation, but it needed to happen.Below is a citation of a multiyear study about premature deaths of bodybuilders that have raised questions about the safety and associated risks of the discipline. The main objective of this study was to analyse mortality risk in a large international population of bodybuilders.Marco Vecchiato, Andrea Ermolao, Marco Da Col, Andrea Aghi, Giampaolo Berton, Stefano Palermi, Francesca Battista, Sandro Savino, Jonathan Drezner, Alessandro Zorzi, Josef Niebauer, Daniel Neunhaeuserer, Mortality in male bodybuilding athletes, European Heart Journal, Volume 46, Issue 30, 7 August 2025, Pages 3006–3016, https://doi.org/10.1093/eurheartj/ehaf285CONNECT WITH CARNIVORE EVOLUTION:-Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], and on both Instagram and YouTube @fitnessbeyondtime01 and @carnivoreevolution2024-Victoria Olson, health coach and author of ‘Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet’ on Amazon https://a.co/d/00WnRF0I , can be reached at [email protected] And on Facebook in the group: Carnivore Diet After Age 40.Thank you for listening. Man’s Best Friend is a Carnivore | For the Love of Dogs S3E41

After a lifetime of IBS and chronic acid reflux, Brett Lee Edyvane healed his own gut on Carnivore, with reflux gone in just 5 days. Then he applied the same logic to his dog’s diet, and watched the successful results speak for themselves.Since then, as an advocate for the Carnivore diet for dogs, he’s helped hundreds of dogs ditch the kibble for meat, on a diet nature actually designed them to eat. In this episode, Brett breaks down what works (and what doesn’t) to keep your Best Friend thriving on the Carnivore diet.If you’ve ever wondered whether species-appropriate nutrition applies to our pets too, this one’s for you.The titer or titre test Brett mentions is a blood test that measures the concentration of circulating antibodies for specific diseases in cats and dogs. In dogs, it is commonly used as an alternative to routine revaccination, verifying whether your dog still has protective immunity against viruses like distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus.CONNECT WITH BRETT, THE CANINE CARNIVORE GUY:On Facebook:The Canine Carnivorehttps://www.facebook.com/share/g/1DZGHArBqq/?mibextid=wwXIfrBrett Leehttps://www.facebook.com/share/1HKdgC4mVg/?mibextid=wwXIfrOn Instagram & YouTubeThe Canine Carnivore Guy@the_canine_carnivore_guyCONNECT WITH CARNIVORE EVOLUTION:-Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], and on both Instagram and YouTube @fitnessbeyondtime01 and @carnivoreevolution2024-Victoria Olson, health coach and author of ‘Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet’ on Amazon https://a.co/d/00WnRF0I , can be reached at [email protected] And on Facebook in the group: Carnivore Diet After Age 40.Thank you for listening. The Original Sugar-Free Man | 37 years - No Sugar S3E39

We are thrilled to introduce you to a man who’s been sugar-free for 37 years! Before it was a trend, before anyone was talking about it, Mike Collins was living it.Known as The Original Sugar Free Man, Mike’s journey started in an unexpected place. After entering alcohol addiction in his teens, finally getting sober at 28, he picked up a copy of Sugar Blues by William Dufty, and everything changed. Four years later, sugar was gone for good. He even raised two kids sugar-free.Since then, Mike has built some of the most trusted coaching resources in the sugar-free world. He’s the founder of SugarAddiction.com, host of the Quick Sugar Summit and the Type 2 Diabetes Summit, the Sugar Detox website, and is author of ‘The Last Resort Sugar Detox Guide’ and ‘The 30-Day Sugar Detox Challenge’. For the past 11 years, he’s helped tens of thousands of people break free from the grip of sugar through his 30-Day Sugar Detox Challenge, and well beyond. In this episode, Mike gets into details most people never hear about, like how fructose is the largely unrecognized true driver of sugar damage, and how the fruit and vegetables we think are healthful have been hybridized specifically to maximize their fructose content. He also tackles one of the most overlooked problems in sugar recovery: recidivism. Why do people keep falling back into sugar use? Could it be because the world still doesn’t recognize sugar as the psychoactive drug it truly is?There is no quick fix. Real recovery means rebuilding neural pathways, and that result takes intention, effort, and the right experienced guidance.Mike Collins is one of the most credible and experienced voices in the anti-sugar movement. Let him show you what lasting freedom actually looks like. Carnivore Courage is Contagious S3E38

What does it take to walk away from everything you’ve been told about food and bet your health on something completely different? For Robyn Herron, aka CarnivorousGrama, it took courage, and the results were nothing short of remarkable. In just 31 days on the Carnivore diet, Robyn eliminated the eczema that had tormented her skin, silenced the daily anxiety that had become her normal, ended her seasonal allergies, and finally got relief from the IBS that had controlled her life for years. No shots or diet drugs. No complicated protocols. Just meat and eggs. But Robyn didn’t stop at healing herself. She became a certified metabolic health coach, and made it her mission to bring Carnivore to the people who need it most and hear about it least - adults over 40 and the Black community - two groups that are wildly underrepresented in the Carnivore space, and have the most to gain from it.In this spirited conversation we dig into her transition story, the Carnivore principles she teaches her clients, and why courage isn’t just a nice word to her, it’s the foundation of every transformation she’s ever witnessed, including her own.If you’ve been sitting on the fence about Carnivore, or you’ve felt like this way of eating wasn’t made for someone like you, this episode will change your mind.Courage is contagious. This Doctor Healed Herself Through Diet S3E37

“There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream, and find out why they’re falling in.” - Nelson MandelaHello Beautiful Human! Dr. Jocelyn Foran’s story is different. She’s not just a physician, she’s a longtime patient, too. As a child, she watched and helped her mother battle rheumatoid arthritis. That’s what pushed Jocelyn toward medicine in the first place. As an adult, she developed ulcerative colitis herself. Doctors told her diet had nothing to do with it, aside from one ingredient in processed dairy (carrageenan). Meanwhile, she had a career as an anesthesiologist and was raising three children, all while unintentionally losing weight, losing sleep, struggling to control her bowels, and watching her medication grow less effective by the day. Then a colleague mentioned the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, developed to help with celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She tried it. Within days, everything changed for the better. She moved on to Paleo, then Keto, and finally Carnivore. Her gastroenterologist was supportive, but still promoted drugs. Jocelyn wishes the medical system understood diet as a foundational treatment, not an afterthought. She mentions how Abraham Flexner’s 1910 report, reshaped medical school curriculums across North America, and locked in the “pills only” approach we still see today.Dr. Foran tells us why glucose is so toxic to the body, and how Carnivore works by keeping carbs and insulin as low as possible. As her own health improved, she was able to taper off the now-failing medications she’d relied on for years. Her larger point? Modern medicine is incredible at acute care. Broken bone, get it fixed. But chronic illness is a different story. They treat symptoms, not root causes. That’s exactly why she brings up Mandela’s “going upstream” quote.Today, Dr. Foran has a metabolic coaching practice through her website Upstream Metabolic Medical (link below), and shares videos on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok about how very low carb and Carnivore diets can transform chronic illness.Dr Foran is heading upstream, and she wants to bring all of us with her.I’m on board. The Fat She Was Afraid to Eat Changed Her Life S3E35

Kazumi Evener tried everything to get healthy, including Whole 30, Keto, and Atkins. She was a dedicated runner and a lifelong dieter, but something was always off. When she found Carnivore, she didn’t get it right at first. She restricted fat, limited her food intake, and kept herself undernourished without realizing it. She was running during the day but binge eating sweets at night, still fighting a sugar addiction she couldn’t shake. The turning point came when she finally gave her body the animal fat it was asking for.Adding adequate fat to her Carnivore diet changed everything. Her hormone balance stabilized, and after years of missing her menstrual cycle on and off, it returned on a regular basis. Her anxiety calmed. Her energy came back. The nighttime sugar binges stopped.Kazumi’s story is a powerful reminder that Carnivore isn’t just about cutting carbs. It’s about nourishing your body completely, and animal fat is the piece most people get wrong at the start. She now shares her journey and ongoing Carnivore success with a growing community on Instagram, showing others what’s possible when you stop restricting and start healing.🥩 FOLLOW Kazumi on Instagram: @optimallifewithkazumi where she welcomes and answers questions about the Carnivore diet.CONNECT WITH US:Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], and on Instagram and YouTube @fitnessbeyondtime01 and @carnivoreevolution2024. She Was the Perfect Vegan. She Was Miserable. S3E34

Fourteen years vegan. Ulcerative colitis. Chronic acne. And a body that kept sending her signals she finally couldn’t ignore.Josie Lieder, aka The Ex-Plant Eater, did everything the plant-based world told her to do, and paid for it with her health. When she made the switch to carnivore, her colitis symptoms vanished and her skin cleared and tightened up. Bloating, bleeding gums, brain fog and anxiety cleared. Now she has great energy, better sleep, and heals quicker than before from minor cuts and bruises, and more. What started as a last resort became a complete transformation, and now she’s one of the most compelling voices speaking out about what the vegan diet can do to a body over time.Josie is the author of the upcoming book ‘Coming Around to Carnivore’, releasing August 11, 2026 (link below), on several YouTube channels, and she’s set to take the stage at Meatstock 2027 in Nashville on a panel of former vegans. Her story isn’t just about food. It’s about what happens when lived experience finally overrules ideology. In this episode, Jodie walks us through her 14-year journey, the health crisis that forced her hand, the moment carnivore changed everything, and why she’s now dedicated to helping others find their way out of the same trap.If you’ve been plant-based and something feels off, this conversation might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.Link to Amazon for ‘Coming Around to Carnivore’, available for pre-order, dropping August 11, 2026https://a.co/d/01diDAUzCONNECT WITH JOSIE:On Instagram and YouTube: @theexplanteaterCONNECT WITH US:Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], and on Instagram and YouTube @fitnessbeyondtime01 and @carnivoreevolution2024. Carnivore Fat Loss Secrets | Michele Andrews S3E33

What does it actually take to lose fat and keep it off on Carnivore? Michele Andrews has been in the trenches coaching real people through real transformations, and she’s not holding back on the secrets that are actually moving the needle.Michele is a Carnivore fat loss coach, fitness coach, and dancer who brings a whole-person approach to what most people treat as a numbers game. In this episode she pulls back the curtain on the key secrets inside her coaching program, and it’s a lot more than just “eat meat and lose weight.”She tells us about her individualized coaching and why cookie-cutter plans keep failing people, nutrition education that actually sticks, and the eating disorder and body image baggage so many of us are quietly carrying into this lifestyle.Michele doesn’t skip the hard stuff. Mindset and mental healing aren’t a side conversation here, they’re central to the whole process. She understands that the psychological weight we carry is often heavier than anything showing up on the scale. We also cover HRT and peptides, what Michele thinks about fasting for fat loss, and the fitness and movement piece that ties it all together. She’s a dancer as well as a coach, and that shows in how she talks about the body, not as something to punish into submission, but as something to work with. We dig into body recomposition, meal timing, metabolism, and why so many women especially are under-eating and over-struggling without ever getting the results they’re after. If you’ve been spinning your wheels, if you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, or if you’re just starting out and want to do this right from the beginning, this conversation is for you.CONNECT WITH COACH MICHELE:Instagram:@coachmicheleandrewsYouTube:@CarnivorePowerDuoCONNECT WITH US:Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], on YouTube and Instagram @fitnessbeyondtime01Victoria Olson, health coach and author of ‘Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet’ on Amazon https://a.co/d/00WnRF0I , can be reached at [email protected] And on Facebook in the group: Carnivore Diet After Age 40.Thank you for watching and listening. Illness as a protective adaptation | Patrick Coles S3E31

What if your body isn’t failing you? What if it’s actually trying to save you?Victoria and Mark sit down with Patrick Coles to challenge what you think you know about disease. That tumors, obesity, and fatty liver aren’t random chaos. They may be the body deliberately isolating toxins, capturing and encapsulating them to prevent them from spreading throughout your system.Diabetes and autoimmune diseases may also be protective reactions to the toxins we ingest. And those toxins? They’re not just the microplastics and forever chemicals you already know to avoid. They’re hiding in your everyday diet.Find the root cause. That’s the message.Patrick writes about all of this and more on his Substack, ‘Patrick Coles’, and has a book about it on the way. Beyond the Pale: Anemia, The Missed Diagnosis S3E30

What if the root cause of dozens of unexplained physical and psychological symptoms is not in your mind or your genes, but in your blood? Brendan Reesor, author of the book, ‘Beyond the Pale’, joins us to make a compelling case that anemia is one of the most underdiagnosed and misunderstood conditions driving a wide range of ailments that conventional medicine keeps failing to resolve.Brendan walks us through the foundational role of oxygen in every system of the body and explains how even a moderate reduction in oxygen delivery can quietly erode your physical health, your emotional stability, and your mental clarity. When your cells are starved for oxygen, the downstream effects are far wider than fatigue. He connects anemia to somatic disorders, the very real physical symptoms that arise from physiological dysfunction, rather than psychological origin, and makes the case that this connection is consistently overlooked by practitioners who are simply not looking for it.Perhaps most thought-provoking is Brendan's personal experience and research into gender dysphoria as a potential somatic expression of chronic anemia. It is a perspective rooted in his own journey and one that challenges us to ask harder questions before accepting a diagnosis as fixed or permanent.Brendan also takes direct aim at the current standard of blood testing, arguing that the reference ranges used today are not sensitive enough to detect true anemia in many of the people who have it. He believes the entire framework for evaluating iron status and oxygen-carrying capacity needs to be overhauled, and he explains exactly why that matters for anyone who has been told their labs look fine while they keep feeling anything but.We also dig into how a carnivore diet can dramatically shift the picture. The bioavailable iron, B12, and heme nutrients found in animal foods are precisely what a depleted body needs, and Brendan explains why whole food nutrition delivers results that no supplement protocol can fully replicate. If you have been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or simply told to live with symptoms no one can explain, this conversation may change the way you think about your health entirely.RESOURCES FOR BRENDANReach Brendan through his website:https://www.brendanjreesor.com/contact Follow and dm him on Instagram @brendan.reesor His YouTube channel: @SubstituteProfessor‘Beyond the Pale’ Amazon book page:https://a.co/d/0jhEUfqy CONNECT WITH US:Mark Ennis, health and fitness [email protected], and on Instagram @fitnessbeyondtime01Victoria Olson, health coach and author of ‘Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet’ on Amazon https://a.co/d/00WnRF0I , can be reached at [email protected] And on Facebook in the group: Carnivore Diet After Age 40.Thank you for watching and listening. The Evidence Is In…And It’s Undeniable S3E28

Health educator Edward Goeke joins us on Carnivore Evolution with a rare combination of deeply researched knowledge, and lived experience. His healing journey on carnivore is compelling on its own, but what sets Edward apart is what he’s done with that experience. He’s built a body of work grounded in science rather than hype, and he’s using it to help others do the same. His book ‘Contraindicated’ challenges the conventional nutrition narrative with the kind of evidence-based rigor that’s been sorely missing from the conversation. His YouTube channel gives a platform to real people living this lifestyle, while going deep on the science behind it. With his Health Science teaching community on Skool, Edward has built something rare: a space for serious learners who want the human body explained plainly, with one agenda only (to teach the truth), and who actually want to understand how the science connects to their daily life.Edward is also an instructor with Carnivore Coach International, one of the leading Carnivore coaching certification programs, and he also publishes a newsletter for those who want to stay current as the research evolves. If you’ve been on carnivore for a while, and feel ready for a deeper conversation, or are someone who needs to understand the ‘why’ before you commit to a major dietary change, this episode is for you. Carnivore Transformed Her S3E26

Annie never expected food to change her life the way it did. After years of struggling with brain fog, brutal periods, skin that never seemed to cooperate, and a body that felt like it was working against her, she decided to try the Carnivore diet, with a strong emphasis on fat. What happened next surprised even her.In this video, Annie opens up about the remarkable shifts she experienced after going all in on a meat-based, fat-forward way of eating. Her mental clarity sharpened in ways she hadn’t felt in years, making her more focused and present in her daily life and her relationships. Her menstrual cycle became noticeably less disruptive, allowing her to stay active and exercise through days that used to leave her on the couch. She gets into her workouts now and recovers well, without the physical menses cycle fallout she used to take for granted as normal. Then there’s her skin. Clear, calm, and consistent in a way no product ever delivered. Her libido returned. Her relationships deepened. Her confidence grew. All of it tracing back to the same simple change: real food, real fat, and the willingness to go against the grain. If you’re a woman wondering whether Carnivore could work for you, Annie’s story is one you’ll want to hear.Annie is a proponent of Dr. Elizabeth Bright. The Long Game | Dillon Phaneuf S3E20

What happens when a seasoned health coach goes head to head with three veteran Carnivores who are also health and physical training coaches? Dillon Phaneuf opens our video with two bold statements that set the stage for one of the most honest conversations we have had on this channel, and things get interesting fast.Mark has been carnivore for 7 years. Victoria is in her 8th year. David has lived it for over 20 years. Among them, they carry decades of real-world evidence, not theory, not short-term trial data, but lived experience through every season, every social challenge, and every moment the mainstream said they were doing it wrong.Dillon brings the perspective of a transformation coach who’s seen what works and what doesn’t across a wide range of clients and dietary approaches. His opening statements are thought-provoking, and the veterans do not hold back. This discussion covers the questions that matter most. Can carnivore truly be sustained for a lifetime? What does the body look like after 5, 10, 20 years of zero-plant eating? Are there risks the community is not facing realistically? And what does long-term success actually require, beyond the initial transformation? No scripts. No softball questions. Just a real conversation with people who have skin in the game.If you have ever wondered whether carnivore is a short-term reset or a lifelong path, this one is for you.Dillon Phaneuf of Rebuild Coaching is on Instagram @dillonphaneuf, and on YouTube @rebuildcoaching.Find fitness coach David Bethune on Instagram and Tiktok @fr3akanamoly, on YouTube @fr3akanamoly - ATF motivation.Mark Ennis heath coach - [email protected], and on Instagram and Tiktok @fitnessbeyondtime01Victoria Olson health coach and author of ‘Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet’ on Amazon, can be reached at [email protected] And on Facebook in the ‘Carnivore Diet After Age 40’ group. Beyond the Rules | Jordan Masuccio S3E19

He’s 31, and while otherwise fully carnivore, he eats fruit. Not because he’s confused about the diet, but because he understands something most people miss: the carnivore lifestyle is about eliminating what’s harming you, not following a rulebook to the letter. In this video he shares a thought experiment he’s put to vegans, one designed to strip away ideology, and get to what we actually value when it comes to food, animals, and health. The conversation rarely goes the way he expects. Instead of engaging with the idea, most vegans take it completely literally, missing the point entirely, and turning a philosophical discussion into an argument about hypotheticals.Sound familiar? This is what happens when ideology replaces curiosity. When people are so committed to defending a belief system, that they can no longer step back and think. And ironically, it’s a trap that anyone on any diet can fall into, carnivore included. If you’ve ever tried to have a genuine conversation about nutrition only to hit a wall of dogma, this one’s for you.Drop your own thought experiment in the comments. They Call It Bullying. We Call It Bad Science. S3E17

Food Bullying Is Real, But So Is Bad Nutrition AdviceAt the top of our reel, we show how a UK registered nutritionist reacts to a viral clip of children at a gym being shamed by their trainer for poor breakfast choices. While the nutritionist is right that food bullying is harmful, his defense of carb-heavy breakfasts for kids tells a different story. We agree completely that no child should ever feel humiliated or judged for what they eat. That causes lasting psychological damage, and does nothing to build healthy habits. But calling out bullying doesn’t mean every breakfast is equally nourishing, and that’s where the conversation has to go deeper. In this video, we break down what was really happening in that gym, why the trainer’s silence on better choices was its own kind of failure, and why a registered nutritionist defending sugar-spiking, carb-loaded mornings as a reasonable choice for growing kids isn’t the compassionate stance it appears to be.Children deserve both emotional safety and genuine nutritional support. They are not the same thing, and we should not have to choose between them.We discuss the real harm of food shaming, the difference between kindness and nutritional negligence, and what children’s bodies actually need to thrive. Our guests are calisthenics specialist Chris Thompson, on Instagram @chris_carnivore_sw, and health coach Stephen Curtain on Instagram @gnostic_carnivore and TikTok @carnivore_invictus. Fiber & Carbs are not essential! S3E16

Is fiber REALLY essential? What about carbs? The answer might surprise you - especially coming from a nutritionist. In this episode, Mark Ennis sits down with Victoria Olson to unpack a recent callout from a nutritionist who challenged Mark’s Carnivore approach - specifically targeting his stance on fiber and carbohydrates. Mark and Victoria break down the science (and the myths) around dietary essentials, exploring why neither fiber nor carbohydrates are classified as essential nutrients for human life or health. They tackle the tough questions:→ What does “essential nutrient” actually mean - and why do carbs and fiber not qualify?→ What did the nutritionist get right, and where did the science fall short?→ How does the Carnivore community respond to mainstream dietary pushback?→ Can you truly thrive long-term without fiber or plant-based carbohydrates?Whether you’re a seasoned Carnivore, keto-curious, or just tired of being told you need your grains, this conversation is one you don’t want to miss.🥩 Like, subscribe, and drop your thoughts in the comments - have YOU been challenged on Carnivore by a health professional?#Carnivore #CarnivoreDiet #ZeroCarb #FiberMyth #CarbFree #NutritionDebate #MarkEnnis #VictoriaOlson #MeatHeals #animalbasedHealth coach Mark Ennis [email protected] ask me a question or come on a video with me.Also on Instagram and TikTok @fitnessbeyondtime01

Do you need TRT? | Carnivore test norms | a high fat diet? S3E13

Two health coaches, Stephen Curtain and Mark Ennis, sit down for a candid conversation about testosterone, TRT, and the often-overlooked foundations of hormonal health. They discuss why it’s essential to take an honest inventory of your lifestyle - training, sleep, and diet - before considering TRT.They explore what “normative” test levels should look like for people following a Carnivore diet. For instance, adaptation to Carnivore can lower hormones such as T3 - but is that necessarily a bad thing? The conversation also touches on Nick Norwitz’s latest self-experiment, where his reported weight loss on a high-fat diet raises an important question: was it truly fat loss, or could it reflect muscle mass loss after dropping his protein intake to just 9%?A thoughtful discussion on hormones, fat nutrition, and what the numbers on a lab report really mean.Contact health coach Stephen Curtin on Instagram @carnivore_coach_invictus andOn YouTube at Steve Curtin Mark Ennis can be reached at [email protected] and onInstagram and TikTok @fitnessbeyondtime01

INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE! Seed oil chaos and destruction S3E12

Mark Ennis and Victoria Olson dive straight into one of the most controversial questions in modern nutrition: what if the very oils we were told would “protect our hearts” are actually driving metabolic dysfunction? In this conversation, Mark and Victoria break down how industrial seed and vegetable oils - high in unstable polyunsaturated fats - become prone to oxidation, disrupt cell membrane structure, and interfere with cellular signaling. The result? What they describe is “metabolic chaos.”They also tackle the cholesterol question head-on. Rather than viewing cholesterol as the villain, they discuss its structural and reparative role in cell membranes - and how excessive intake of processed seed oils displaces and undermines cholesterol’s protective functions. If cholesterol is the stabilizer and repair molecule, what happens when it’s crowded out by fragile, easily oxidized fats? Finally, they zoom out to the last 50 years of dietary guidance - low-fat messaging, vegetable oil promotion, and the parallel rise in obesity, diabetes, and arterial disease - and ask whether we’ve misunderstood the root cause of the epidemic.Victoria also shares insights from her soon-to-be-published book, “Troubleshooting Your Carnivore Diet,” offering practical strategies for those using a carnivore framework to restore metabolic health and reduce inflammatory burden. If you’re curious about the biochemical case against seed oils - and the argument for rethinking long-standing nutrition dogma - this discussion will challenge you to look deeper.Mark Ennis [email protected] TikTok and Instagram: fitnessbeyondtime01Victoria OlsonCarnivore Evolution: [email protected] group: Carnivore Diet After Age 40

Kristina defeated her daughter’s bipolar disorder with the Carnivore diet S3E2

Kristina Cook is a wife and mom of two from Nova Scotia, Canada. Her now 12-year old daughter, Genevieve, struggled with ADHD, OCD, & treatment resistant Bipolar Disorder for 6 years, until Kristina started looking outside the conventional medical and mental health systems for answers. This quest led her to MAHA Moms, RFK Jr., Dr. Casey Means, Dr. Chris Palmer, and ultimately, conversations about health, food, and politics she never expected to find herself talking about until now. The Carnivore Gut-Brain Axis for Improved Mental Health S2E70

Three Carnivore professionals, each with experience in guiding clients through the Carnivore lifestyle, share insights gleaned from personal journeys and professional observations, discuss the diet's positive impact on gut health and its relationship with mental well-being.The panel is about the gut-brain axis as a key factor, observing that the simpler, cleaner gut microbiome of a well-formulated Carnivore diet leads to reduced inflammation and enhanced mental clarity. They highlight ketosis as critical for mental clarity and focus, noting reduced inflammation and improved resilience. Ketosis is a cornerstone of the Carnivore diet's efficacy, and has become a therapeutic paradigm for psychological well-being in the wider world.Ketosis is a metabolic state where the body burns fat for fuel, producing ketones. On a Carnivore diet, this happens when carb intake is very low, and fat/protein from animal foods become primary energy sources.By relying on fat as the primary energy source, the brain functions with heightened clarity and focus, unencumbered by glucose fluctuations and insulin resistance.Benefits from ketosis tied to mental health, with profound implications for psychological well-being are:- *Stable energy*: Ketones provide consistent fuel for the brain- *Reduced inflammation*: Less glucose = less oxidative stress- *Gut calm*: Cleaner Carnivore microbiome = less gut-brain stress
