    Blue Sage

‘Blue Sage’ is an addictive radio-ready song about a journey of personal growth between two close friends separated by great distance and the lonesome lockdown days of Covid-19. It celebrates the ability to express feelings honestly and openly, despite the obstacles. Catlea was inspired while planting blue sage in a backyard garden in honor of a good friend quarantined in the United Kingdom. The flowers blooming are a hopeful metaphor for renewal and understanding, taking control of one’s circumstances, and finding positivity in negative situations.

    Selfish

“Why are you so selfish, it’s like you can’t help it. Always playing victim but you’re demanding ransom.” Selfish’ is about the desire for authenticity in a relationship with yearning for respect and understanding. The lyrics reveal a deeper struggle with self-worth and the pain of being unvalued in a lopsided relationship. Tired of being treated as a prize to be won by competitive rivals who give nothing, but expect Catlea’s full devotion, Catlea questions their intentions asking for genuine affection that isn’t tied to what Catlea provides. ‘

    Bones

‘Bones’ is an infectious indie-pop song lushly infused with delicious vibes of soul, stirred with R&B, and a pinch of disco, all wrapped in a head-bobbing, foot-tapping, everybody-let’s-dance track. Crossing musical genres and defying labels, singer-songwriter Catlea’s latest tune is a little bit of this, a little bit of that—and a whole lot of fun.

    Crumbling

‘Crumbling’ is Catlea’s vivid and creative approach to expressing deep vulnerability through a playful lens. From the opening soft piano to the chaotic-yet-positive tones of the final chorus, ‘Crumbling’ is an infectious, energetic song that displays both the inevitability of not living up to others’ unrealistic expectations and finding the power to rebuild oneself. To those who are lost: we can always find ourselves again, no matter how many times we may crumble.

    Lying

“Lying” is a catchy, uplifting song featuring a contagious, energetic groove and Catlea’s sensual yet powerful vocals. “Lying” the tables on an unfaithful lover, saying I won’t do what you did—lie and cheat—but if I did, I would be happier because the love of a close friend is better than the lies of a gaslighting partner. "Lying" is supported by a robust social media campaign on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and a 42-show US Midwest tour, and PR from a professional promotional firm.

    Like Me

"Like Me" is an emotional journey that speaks to our need for connection, which beautifully builds from a striking melody and stunning vocals through the raucous, heartfelt finale of hope and inspiration. Hold on. Don't give up. Things will get better. You're not alone. You will find others just like you.

This high energy song encourages us to put the worst year in memory behind us in a powerful celebration of love and unity. Catlea invites us to party all night and dance until the daylight while remembering that love is the highest calling of all.

    Broken Down

https://youtu.be/VISWV8lbpPw “Broken Down” is a powerful, provocative song whose lyrics are both a collective plea to humanity and a call for us individually — me, you, everyone — to wake up and take charge of our lives. The world is in turmoil. Every day brings a new injustice, a shattering of our societal values, and an assault on our personal well-being. Our democracy, our freedom, our very lives are threatened. We can’t wait any longer. It’s time to rise and take a stand. If not now, when? “Broken Down” is meant to inspire listeners into action, to make their voices heard, to speak truth to power. We must act with urgency before it’s too late and time runs out. Catlea’s sixth single boasts a heavier alt-rock sound reminiscent of Neil Young jamming with Coldplay’s Jonny Buckland. In this hard rocking anthem are echoes of Young's "Down by the River" fused with Coldplay's hit, "Talk” resulting in an unforgettable song for our times.

    ANIMIS (ft. Catlea)

https://youtu.be/dBGUqHAAgyU Animis is about professing your love to your soulmate, the person you call home.

  19. -8

Coda // Allow Me to Introduce Myself

Coda // Allow Me to Introduce Myself is a stunning, genre-defying piece about the beauty found in heartbreak; the safety found in solitude when a relationship comes full circle to its ultimate end.

  20. -9

    Bad For Me

https://youtu.be/JDVmIFNvEUo Bad for Me is about discovering that the person you loved is bad for you, really frickin' bad, and the relationship you tried so hard to make work was based on lies. It’s about seeing someone clearly for the first time and rising from the emotional ashes to become stronger, empowered, and happy on your own terms. It's an especially powerful song for women who've been held down and made insecure by a jealous lover.

  21. -10

    Cherry Pie

https://youtu.be/S4U1WrJIKNc This is a song about the sweet euphoria of being in love. To know there is no one else in the world you'd rather be with. But it also about any friendship or relationship where people feel a strong, unbreakable connection.

  22. -11

    Breathe Away

https://youtu.be/NGVIBinlmgY Breathe Away is about appreciating the people, moments, and memories in our lives. Life and time are fleeting so let’s celebrate and appreciate those closest to us while we can.
