    Ken Monroe of Holt of California

    Holt of California, a multi-family family business, has been in operation since 1931. The company is a dealer for Caterpillar, Inc. serving the north part of California’s Central Valley. In addition to representing Caterpillar brands the company also represents Agco, Class, Kubota and Polaris under the name Holt Ag Solutions; and Trimble products under the name Sitech West. The company employs approximately nine hundred employees in twenty-two branches ranging from Los Banos to Redding and five Holt Ag Solutions branches in Oregon. Holt brings equipment solutions for the diverse needs of their customers, including sales, rental, parts and services for this wide variety of equipment throughout their geographical territory.Ken has been CEO of Holt since December 1998. He graduated from Willamette University, Salem, OR with a BA in Economics. Ken is married to Peggy and enjoys time with his two children and five grandchildren. Ken is currently Chairman of the Family Business Association of California which represents family businesses at the legislature and in the courts to help overcome regulatory and economic obstacles and ensure they maintain freedom to operate with as little government intervention as possible.
