Episodes

  1. The Claydol Line

She’s ancient, she’s a relic, and her forms idyllic! That’s right, we’re talking about the Venus of Willendorf! Oh. And Claydol too I guess (don’t we worry, we actually love the little guy)

  2. The Noctowl Line

Today’s Pokemon is Noctowl! Lord knows our hosts complain about overly simple/boring designs constantly, but Noctowl is a special exception! He’s imposing and a fitting addition to the world! But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t still use an evolution…

  3. Kyogre

Make way for the god of the seas! Joachim is elated to talk about his favorite legendary Pokemon! Frank is unimpressed with seeing a basic-ass fish on the screen. The optimism and pessimism once again swap hosts this episode!

  4. Arceus

HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH! Today we talk about the God of all Pokémon, Arceus! Or is it pronounced Arceus? Eh, we’ll just keep saying Arceus and leave it at that. From getting their own game to having one of the most trippy special events ever, this is a very important Mythical (or, legendary?)...

  5. The Amoongus Line

SO YOU’RE TELLING ME THERE’S A FUNGUS AMONG US?! A FOONGUS AMOONGUS? That’s the joke.

  6. The Shiftry Line

Omg I forgot to upload this episode to Spotify/Apple Podcasts 🫪🫠🥴 oops sorryyyyyy Look at this old, pervert… ok maybe he’s not a pervert, but Joachim sure drew him as one! Our hosts are not huge fans of this Pokemon, but will they learn some fun facts about this Tengu that changes their minds?!

  7. Oricorio

Given all our previous episodes, I feel like you’d expect Joachim to hate this Pokemon and Frank to find some redeeming qualities about it… but no, BOTH hosts like this set of funky birds quite a bit! They’re pretty, unique, and all kinds of fun gimmicks only they have!

  8. SPECIAL EPISODE: Reviewing the Mega Evolutions we missed!

Due to some unfortunate circumstances with a lost recording… Frank and Joachim decided this was the perfect time to do a more chill episode and finally talk about the new ZA Mega Evolutions introduced after their OG Pokémon got their episode! Come and hangout while we rant AND rave!

  9. The Electivire Line

AH HELL YEAH! Electivire is one of the absolute coolest gen 4 evolutions! Elemis is cute, Electabuzz is… ok… but Electivire is a total badass of a Pokemon! The only downside is this beast isn’t a fighting type!

  10. The Weezing Line

This Pokemon STINKS! Like, literally, it smells like hot rotting garbage - which, Weezing happens to love! Even one of the most unappealing Pokemon out there can still be endearing!

  11. The Hariyama Line

The big Sumo of Hoenn! Despite Hoenn being Joachim’s favorite generation, not even that can save Hariyama from his dislike… but Makuhita? He’s just a silly little guy!

  12. The Wigglytuff Line

Here we have one of Kanto’s many Pink Blob Pokémon… a subsection of Kanto’s Orb/Blob Pokémon… have we mentioned we don’t like Kanto Pokémon very much? But hey, Jigglypuff is iconic and Wigglytuff ain’t that bad… except for those damn giant eyes!

  13. The Gyarados Line

We’ve hit yet another fan-favorite Kanto Pokemon: BIG GYARADOS! A monster so cool, even a couple Anti/Genwunners gotta admit he’s pretty cool! But Magikarp? We agree with the Pokedex.

  14. Cobalion

Our first Sword of Justice! … and that’s just about all there is to say about this brave warrior goat. I’m sure you noticed just how short this episode is… sorry Cobalion fans!

  15. The Silvally Line

In a forgotten Pokemon contest, Silvally probably conned out in at LEAST the top 3… but Frank still loves this cute little chimera! Joachim though… can he learn to love it?

  16. The Heliolisk Line

WHOOPS! The “Cry’s” portion of the episode didn’t get edited correctly, sorry! The rest of the episode proceeds as normal, don’t worry! Everyone loves Heliolisk! He’s one of the most memorable Pokemon from the 3D Pokemon era! Right…? Well, even if he’s not the most memorable, he still holds a...

  17. The Cofagrigus/Runerigus Line

We’ve been looking forward to talking about one of the creepiest Pokemon ever conceived for a long time! Cofagrigus is as cool as his name is controversial (apparently) and the newer addition to this line, Runerigus, is absolutely a welcome, if not needlessly complex, addition to the family!

  18. The Slurpuff Line

We started this episode with one host having low-neutral feelings on this Pokemon and the other host absolutely despising it. By the end, do we come around on Slurpuff and its sticky, candy hair? Or do we double down on our feelings of disgust?

  19. The Flygon Line

Would ya look at that! It’s everyone’s favorite “Can’t seem to get a mega evolution” Pokemon! Flygon is absolutely a top-five Dragon Type Pokémon! Peak design, lore, and halfway-decent stats! … BUT WHY CAN’T IT JUST GET A MEGA?!

  20. Comfey

Alola! Comfey is an often forgotten Pokemon, but it’s very important in the world building of Alola! Watch as one of our hosts opinions on this Pokémon’s standing as “Dex Filler” changes before your very eyes - or, ears, rather.

  21. The Empoleon Line

We’ve reached another starter Pokemon - and it’s our first Sinnoh Starter! Empoleon is imposing, regal, and narcissistic. Basically he has a Napoleon comple-HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

  22. The Garchomp Line

Did somebody say CYNTHIA?! Garchomp is an amazing Pokemon in its own right, but being connected to such an iconic trainer only boosts its cool factor! But does it break one of Pokémon’s biggest design rules…?

  23. The Blaziken Line

We’ve hit the KICKEN CHICKEN! Everybody and their grandmothers love Blaziken! And with this guy, we’ve finally discussed all three Hoenn Starters lines!

  24. The Magnezone Line

What an iconic line of Pokemon! From incredible cries to eye-queries, Magnezone is a beacon of discovery waiting to be drawn to you like some sort of… magnetic thing.

  25. Ditto

DITTO?! In the height of Pokopia?! We didn’t do this on purpose y’all, we actually rolled this wonderful pile of goo! But when all a Pokemon can do is become other Pokemon… will we even have enough we can say about it?

  26. The Gengar Line

If there’s ever been a fan-favorite… Gengar is it! Another classic Gen 1 orb-boy, even Joachim and Frank (who’re super hard on Kanto) can’t resist this goofy ghost!

  27. The Sprigatito Line

Yeahhh we usually always use the final evolution as the episode title, but because our GUEST HOST, KATRINA loves Sprigatito, we decided to use the little kitty instead! Trust me, we’ll see more than enough of Mewoscarada by the end of the episode… Katrina also drew the Sprigatito in the thumbnail...

  28. The Bronzong Line

Did y’all know this bell can summon the rain?! Bronzong is definitely one of the strangest looking Pokemon out there, but is this little freak saved by an impressive move-set and great stats?? …Perhaps…

  29. The Hippowdon Line

That’s right, we used the FEMALE Hippowdon as the image for this thumbnail cause here at Certified Poke-Moments HQ, we RESPECT women! Happy Woman’s Month! … anyway this dirt hippo’s pretty neat.

  30. The Swellow Line

This has gotta be the most awesome boring bird of all time - yes, we mean that with the utmost love and respect! Despite its simple design and overdone typing and mid stats and desaturated shiny and…. Well… we still love this bird!

  31. Seviper

We’ve rolled a big scary creature today, one of humanities greatest fears: A GIANT SNAKE! Seviper is arguably the coolest snake Pokémon… unless you’re a Zangoose fan!

  32. Morpeko: The Lost Episode!

Morpeko sucks, but that’s not the important part: this is a very special episode recorded back in 2024 that we never thought we’d release… I’ll admit, it’s even better to watch this one on YouTube!

  33. The Meowstic Line

Meowstic is one of those Pokémon that people always forget about; I mean come on, did YOU remember this French cat?! But with this new Mega Evolution, Meowstic just got a whole lot more memorable!

  34. The Chandelure Line

Easily the BEST object-mon we’ve ever been given! Both our hosts adore this awesome fire and ghost type; and with its new Mega Evolution? Mmmm, this boy is POWERFUL!

  35. Heatran

Look out, big man’s on campus! Heatran was already an awesome beast that was totally underrated… but after receiving a mega evolution??? This dude just got even CRAZIER!! Talk about body horror!

  36. The Scovillain Line

That’s a SPICY pepper, friends! Scovillain is the very definition of a Pokemon whe needs MORE! Thank God he got a mega evolution… but is it enough?

  37. The Crabominable Line

Is Crabominable the ugliest Pokemon known to man? Maybe. But does that make him suck? ABSOLUTELY NOT! This guys string and, though ugly, super cool - especially with that new mega!

  38. The Chimecho Line

What a little cutie!!! Chimecho just makes the vibes immaculate! One of the best world-building Pokemon and one both hosts love!

  39. The Elektross Line

This here’s a BIG wriggly lad! But is it as big as we expect it to be? And this episode is the return of the great Eel Discussion!

  40. Falinks

Franks usually a beacon of optimism and whimsy in this podcast… but not today. Both of the hosts dislike this Pokemon, but Frank is gonna RANT in this one!

  41. Delibird

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas everyone! Today we talk about the most Christmas-y Pokemon ever: Delibird! This Pokémon is so coo- WAIT IT’S STATS ARE HOW LOW?!

  42. The Exploud Line - Episode 100!

Note added after the fact: this is not actually episode 100 🫩 We’ve hit the 100th episode! Wow, how time flys! And what better Pokemon to talk about than our very own mascot: Exploud! Our favorite loud-boy is unfortunately pretty under appreciated… but that just means there’s lots to learn!

  43. The Scolipede Line

YEEESSSSSS!!! Scolipede is not only the Coolest Bug-Type Pokemon EVER, but one of Gamefreaks best designed Pokemon in general! And with its new Mega??? Good lord... absolutely PEAK!

  44. The Annihilape Line

Mankey? Boring. Primeape? Stupid. Annihilape…? Uh… hello… BASED DEPARTMENT?! What an improvement to a line of Pokémon that’s sucked since the first generation!

  45. Kecleon

Little tip: do NOT steal from this Pokémon! Despite its Mystery Dungeon appearance, ever since Gen 3 ended, Kecleon seems to have been forgotten by society! Let’s jog ya’lls memory!

  46. The Dachsbun Line

Who’s a good boy, who’s a good boy???? Dachsbun is actually peak dog Pokémon! But Fidough…? Well, we’ll see…

  47. The Solgaleo/Lunala Line

Woooooow, some of the few legendary Pokémon that actually evolve! Solgaleo and Lunala are some of the most unique box-art Legends! Solgaleo gets done dirty later on in the episode though…. You’ll see…

  48. The Honchkrow Line

Da Big Boss! Will Frank and Joachim discover some of his mob secrets or will they instead be disappointed by his defensive stats…?

  49. Minior

WE FINALLY ROLLED MINIOR!!! One of the greatest Shinies ever and Franks favorite Pokemon! And just in time for the first ever FILMED episode! If you’re listening on Spotify or Apple Podcast - first of all, thank you - but make sure you check out Certified Poke-Moments on YouTube to SEE the...

  50. The Huntail/Gorebyss Line

Woah, now these are a couple of Pokemon you don't see very often! Seriously... you'd be hard-pressed to find a trainer in HOENN ITSELF who uses either one...
