Pastor Dan Fisher: The Black Robed Regiment & Romans 13

For years, spiritual leaders have been shackling believers with a flawed interpretation of Romans 13 - especially as to how it applies to citizens living in a republic like ours. Consequently, Christian people who would normally stand against tyranny, believe that they owe slavish, unlimited submission to their government. Patriot Pastor Dan Fisher tackles this controversial topic and proves conclusively that Christians not only have the right, but the responsibility to speak up about evil and stand up to tyrannical leaders – no matter the cost. Trey Kent: Encourage Pastors to Lead on Prayer

Having unceasing prayer in your community is possible--even in your community. It starts in and with the Christian church! It takes the leadership of local pastors to cultivate a culture of prayer. It also takes willing believers. Randy White: A Balanced Approach to a National Crisis

Today more than ever in history, America and the world needs theologically sound, Bible teaching churches, but they are more the exception than the norm. People need to see faith-centered, healthy responses to the coronavirus and government mandates during this time and always. Will the church in general use this current pandemic to love our neighbors, preach the hope of Jesus Christ, and minister to those in need - or will we follow the crowd and hoard toilet paper, hand sanitizer, guns and ammo? The worrying world needs to see the power of God in believers lives that have been transformed by the renewing of our minds. This just might be an answer to prayers for the repentance of our nation so let's consider the very real possibility of a national revival and expect God to move. Cameron Buettel: Discernment, Biblical Context, and Coronavirus Concerns

A.W. Tozer stated, "Worship is no longer worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ within us." What is happening in too many American churches is we have become seeker-sensitive, conformed to the world, and watered-down not only the hard truths of Scripture but the gospel itself. The whole country suffers when the church is weak and less effective. On today's podcast we discuss Christian maturity and church discernment issues. Chris Quintana: Politics, Pelosi, Trump, and the Middle East Peace Plan

It's the debate that won't go away: should Christians be involved in politics? This just leads to more questions. What do you mean by "involved," and what issues do you say are political? What issues do you say are moral? And what about the so-called separation of church and state?  What about pastors and church leaders? Should they discuss politics and government - and should they do it during church services? (some of you gasp!) After all, like we discussed yesterday with Julaine Appling, someone's morality will be legislated and our government is supposed to be of the people and for the people. Then there's the confusing question of whether someone can follow Jesus and support Donald Trump. Wait, what? But it's hard not to notice the downward spiral of morality in what is often referred to as our post-Christian culture. This doesn't necessarily mean the church is dead and gone, but all polls and surveys pretty much confirm the fact that Christians are not effectively influencing government and society any longer. TODAY'S GUEST - Pastor Chris Quintana joins us to look at recent events in America and Israel through the lens of Scripture. Lots of "P's" to tackle today: pastor's perspective, politics, Pelosi, and peace plans. Chris is the senior pastor at Calvary Chapel Cypress in California.  The post Chris Quintana: Politics, Pelosi, Trump, and the Middle East Peace Plan appeared first on Stand Up For The Truth Podcast.

The Changing Role of a Pastor

Vibrant, bible teaching churches are needed more than ever but are so very hard to come by. We need wisdom, biblical knowledge and understanding of God. We also need to show our nation the dangerous path we are on as a nation and people.  But many churches seem intent on conforming to the ways of this world instead of transforming lives by the power of God's Word.  At a time when we need clear biblical direction we seem to often be lacking in in a growing number of churches. It usually starts with leadership - pastors who preach the Word and set the example for the flock.  Our guest, Pastor Randy White, joins us to discuss how pastors are being educated and influenced in today's Christian Seminaries and Bible Colleges, and why that needs to change if we are going to see a true spiritual l revival in the church and our nation. Would You Give Up Your Life for Christ? Persecution Update

In spite of all the violence in America, and a growing hatred for God and His Word, we are still very blessed as Christians to be Americans because of the religious freedoms we have.  That could be changing. But we have not yet suffered to the point of torture or death for our faith in Jesus Christ. The same cannot be said for millions of Christians suffering around the world, whose very freedom and life are in danger because of their faith in Jesus Christ.  Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs joins us to look at our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world who remain faithful to Jesus despite imprisonment, torture and even martyrdom.   Will we be as faithful to Christ if and when it comes to our shores? How The Bible Came to Be

The attacks on the validity and truth of the Bible have become more common and intense. How can we know that the Bible is the Word of God and answer the charges of skeptics? Pastor Randy White joins Mike and David for a look at the history of the Bible and how we can confront false accusations about it with truth. Is Christian Persecution in America Just Around the Corner?

Today we take another look at the state of Christianity in America and discuss the real hostility and discrimination against believers in Christ, as well as the possibility the gospel may soon be banned in our nation.  We discuss the so-called Equality Act and its threat to Bible-believing Christians, and explain how the church itself has practically opened the door to welcome discrimination against God's truth and the gospel. Why? Because we want to be loved by a world that hates Jesus and His Word. The post Is Christian Persecution in America Just Around the Corner? appeared first on Stand Up For The Truth Podcast.

    Are We Prepared?

In our first segment, we visit with Dr. Corey Miller, president and CEO of Ratio Christi Ministries, discussing the growing threats to religious freedoms on school campuses. Mike and David also look at a perspective on persecution from David Curry, President of Open Doors, USA.  Mr. Curry admonishes the American Church for being enamored with entertainment while our Christian brothers and sisters around the world face imprisonment, torture and even death fore their faith in Jesus Christ.  Are we as a church detached from our suffering family in Christ? The Dangers and Challenges in Sharing the Gospel

Sharing the gospel in foreign lands has always been difficult, but these days there are challenges that are making the task increasingly difficult and dangerous.  Radical Islam has been emboldened by ruthless leaders and a media willfully silent on its evil actions. Even within missionary circles there seems to be confusion on how best to share the gospel, making the task all the more difficult.  Elijah Abraham of Living Oasis Ministries regularly travels around the world sharing the gospel and teaching church leaders to equip their church members in sound doctrine for the work of evangelism and discipleship.  He joins Mike and David to discuss the increasingly difficult challenges of missionary work, and how some mission ministries are making the task even more difficult by preaching a watered-down or even false gospel.
