CIFF Media

CIFF Media is the official podcast of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair, broadcasting conversations with industry leaders, brands, and creative voices, while also keeping you updated on current trends and developments in the industry. The podcast also features collaborations with Fashion Forum, Eurowoman, Euroman, and DM&T, as well as our international host Julian Daynov, who sits down with inspiring voices across the world.     Since being founded in 2021, Prohibited has proven to be much more than just a clothing brand. In January, Lewis Bloyce sat down with co-founder Philip Krause to discuss the Fall/Winter 26 collection ‘Back in the Days’, the brand’s DNA, their use of TikTok, and the organic growth of a global following. Alongside pop-ups across cities worldwide, the brand’s running clubs have, for some time, brought together more than 250 participants – extending the universe beyond clothing and into a shared experience. And yes, the running club will return this August during CIFF 67.

    Proem Parades on maintaining a continuously design expression and doing pre-orders to create less waste

    This season, the Danish brand Proem Parades makes its debut at CIFF. Ahead of the show, we had the pleasure of welcoming founders Lærke and Stine to the CIFF Media studio for a conversation with CIFF Director Sofie Dolva. The brand’s mission is to maintain a strong and continuous design expression, creating pieces that can be styled, loved, and remain relevant year after year – even long after they are purchased. By offering customers the opportunity to pre-order garments tailored to their exact needs, Proem Parades emphasizes its commitment to producing only what is truly desired. In 2022, the brand became the first Danish fashion label to receive B Corp certification.

    In today’s CIFF Media episode, Julian Daynov sits down with Carsten Holm, Founder of the Danish shoe brand WODEN. WODEN is a Scandinavian brand that stands for Works of Denmark with a focus on Scandinavian design values, natural quality materials and great value for money. Since its founding in 2013, the brand has been returning to CIFF, where it has found a strong alignment of values.     How VOCAST is powering global fashion brands through unique and authentic storytelling

    In today’s episode we are joined by VOCAST Co-Founder Jens Hamborg Koefoed. VOCAST started as a response to the emergence of social media, which transformed the medialandscape. Suddenly, everyone had direct access to a global community – a new condition which created a demand for content being unique and authentic, as everyone could reach everyone at no coast. It was no longer money that drove brands recognition and growth – the new valuta was the uniqueness of content and the power of core storytelling.     Tamaris on being a part of the CIFF Village community

    In today’s episode we are joined by Tamaris’ Sales Director, Felix Schmalenberger, and Country Manager, Claus Egesborg, who is also a long-time resident in CIFF Village. Tamaris is the market leader for fashionable women’s shoes across Europe, offering affordable fashion for women – right now on the way to develop as a lifestyle brand. For a few years now Tamaris has had a showroom in CIFF Village, open for all buyers to drop in and see the collections all year round – this space functions as Tamaris’ fashion hotspot in the Nordics. The showroom is also where Country Manager, Claus Egesborg, has his daily office. Being a part of a community is a big plus when you work as an agent, as he gets that communal feeling from the other brands who are there each day.

    Mos Mosh celebrates their 15-year anniversary

    In March the Danish brand Mos Mosh celebrated their 15-year anniversary. And they had a lot to celebrate; 2,500 retailers across Europe, a successful webshop and last year they opened their very first store in Copenhagen – since then they have expanded with stores in Hamburg and Amsterdam. We welcomed Tatiana Christensen, Head of Marketing, to the studio who let us in on how Mos Mosh was created with inspiration from the big American denim brands’ fits and the details in the Italian designs – combining this became the cornerstone of Mos Mosh. Today their collections have offer more than just jeans, but the original details are still a central part of the collections across all categories.

    Birgitte Herskind on the design process behind Herskind and the importance of physical meetings

    World’s smallest company, with the biggest ambitions. This is how Creative Director and Head Designer Birgitte Herskind describes the Danish brand Herskind. Since 2018 they have been a visible player in the fashion landscape – also on the floor during CIFF as one of many returning heroes we welcome season after season. And from their very first time attending they had some of the best retailers making orders at their stand.

    Maria-Louise Sørensen on how Heartmade mixes bohemian with minimalism with inspiration from Copenhagen

    Biking through Copenhagen on her way to the office in the inner city; this is where Maria-Louise Sørensen, Head of Design at Heartmade, finds her inspiration for the refined, minimalistic styles of the Danish brand mixing bohemian with Scandinavian minimalism. At CIFF 64, Heartmade presented both their SS25 and AW25 collection. Displaying a harmonious play of colors featuring classic hues with a twist – same goes for the fits and styles where there’s a focus on functionality.

    Rylé Tuvierra on the importance of personal meetings in a highly digitalized time

    Under the alias The Fierce Walker, Rylé Tuvierra is working as a digital creator and trans activist to champion the work of LGBTQ+ creators. Or as she puts it, she is slaying the world. From her experience of travelling the world and working regularly with luxury brands on their inclusivity efforts she highlights the importance of meeting face to face. When meeting in person you get to feel the energy and personality of the people you do business with – an important part of creating long-lasting collaborations. For CIFF 64 we had the pleasure of collaborating with her, where she slayed the floor while capturing the community of brands, buyers, press and other industry professionals in her own unique, energetic, and humoristic style. A community which she herself is very much a part of.

    Frank Lin on how the state of the world effected the design of German FRNKOW

    How did covid impact design? The German brand FRNKOW is a good example of this – a brand build on Founder Frank Lin’s dream to build a bridge between menswear, underwear and loungewear. In January he returned to CIFF for the second time as one of 40 German brands joining us in Copenhagen in the Neudeutsch Collective.
