Frederick Douglass Republican diversity strategist, author, and speaker KCarl Smith joined the Igniting the Remnant Pastors Conference sharing how Democrats have twisted the English language to fit their political agenda and smear conservatives, and how Republicans can combat this devious tactic through language of their own. 

Jim Abney, CDF’s Florida Faith Coordinator and Remnant Alliance member, spoke at Remnant Alliance’s Igniting the Pastors Conference about equipping Christians on how to biblically engage their communities. A father and grandfather who has been married for 45 years, Abney began a program called Salt & Light in his church to help engage members in local politics, spurring voter registrations at church and meet and greets with elected officials and candidates.  With help from CDF, and Rick Green’s Patriot Academy and Biblical Citizenship programs, Abney and his Salt & Light counterparts have driven voters to the polls to vote in municipal elections, which has resulted in the election of 16 uncompromising Christian politicians into local offices in just 18 months. 

CDF Texas State Director Colby Wiltse shared his faith journey, how he became involved with CDF after the COVID-19 pandemic and the church shutdowns that came along with it, and how CDF employs its Matthew 18 model to fight back against the political left’s agenda.  He also shared some of the victories that CDF has won in Nueces County, Texas, including stopping gay pride curriculum from entering the school district, and the removal of Nueces County District Attorney Mark Gonzalez, who was soft-on-crime and affiliated with George Soros. 

Former Catholic Priest Frank Pavone discussed with Lindsay his ministry, Priests for Life, which is focused on ending abortions, mentoring pastors of all denominations on how to preach about the issue of life, and helping citizens to mobilize against abortion.  Pavone’s ministry is also heavily focused on outreach for people grieving and healing after having abortions, which includes both women who have had abortions, and men who have played a role in facilitating an abortion. 

Our own Lindsay interviewed renowned Pastor Dr. Jim Garlow, and discussed with him his ministry called “Well-Versed,” which teaches biblical principles of governance to government leaders worldwide.  He also hosts the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance for members of Congress. The pair also discussed why the sanctity of life and marriage so important in Christianity, the global attack in heterosexual marriages, and Garlow’s recent trip to Israel.  Garland also introduced his new book “Reversed: From Culturally Woke to Biblically Awake.”

The Blaze’s Steve Deace, host of “The Steve Deace Show,” joined Lindsay to discuss analyzing the news through a biblical lens, the prospects of former President Trump winning a second term in office and how COVID-19 was a government gauge of the citizenry’s willingness to comply.  Steve also discussed the role of the church as an inculcator of ethics and morality in society, and the cultural collapse that will follow if the church abdicates its responsibilities. 

Gen. Internationally-known investigative journalist Lara Logan joined Citizens Defending Freedom to discuss the mainstream media’s lack of moral courage, her time at CBS’s “60 Minutes,” which ended unceremoniously when she reported the truth on the Benghazi scandal and showed the mainstream news media that she could not be controlled, and the Israel/Gaza war.  The pair also discussed what Logan describes as a “setup” immediately after the debate between President Biden and former President Trump by high-level Democrat operatives and CNN to force Biden to end his reelection campaign, and Logan’s reporting on human trafficking, for which she has been attacked. 

John Guandolo is a Naval Academy graduate and Marine Corps combat veteran who later worked for the FBI for more than 12 years. In 2008 the Department of Defense hired him to do strategic analysis of radical Islam and Communist groups.  Guandolo shared his expertise on Islam and Communism, discussed the greatest threats to the United States, some of whom come from within, and what he thinks of the current state of the FBI. 

America’s Sheriff Grady Judd discussed with CDF Co-Founder Steve Maxwell how social media has given him access to speak directly to his community, which has greatly improved his relationship with that community.  “I don’t fight crime, I fight evil,” Judd has said in the past.  He described what that means, how he operates through a Biblical lens and the 10 Commandments and how America is a fundamentally Christian nation.  Judd also shared a story of how God spoke to him through a recovered drug addict, and how that inspired him to open a faith-based rehabilitation dorm in the Polk County Jail - the only one of its kind - which has facilitated the baptisms of thousands of people.
