Our artist feature is a memorial to the late, great Mac Martin. Not as well known as some of the other artists of his generation, Mac provided some solid Bluegrass to Bluegrass fans in the Eastern US, particularly in his home area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Another sad artist feature this week as the amazing banjo player J.D. Crowe died this past week. J.D.'s timing, taste and tone were like no other and he will be very greatly missed. We also have a salute to the new year in our preshow and some birthdays to celebrate as well. Stay Safe!!

This was a sad week. We lost Kerry Hay, the retired proprietor of Hay Holler Records and Phil Leadbetter, resophonic guitarist extraordinaire. We tribute Kerry Hay in the gospel set and the last six cuts of the show with fabulous tracks from some of the wonderful Hay Holler releases. Our artist feature set shows off Uncle Phil's great dobro work on one of his solo CDs as well as with J.D. Crowe and with his own band the Bluegrass All Stars. They will both be missed very much.
