What lane are you in?
short version

What lane are you in?
Children need reassurance that they are not being replaced. And everyone needs to use their turn signals. You cannot blend a family by speeding, competing, or ignoring the emotional traffic around you. Here’s the bottom line:Each lane has its own purpose, its own rules, and its own pace.Healing is not parenting.Parenting is not co-parenting.Co-parenting is not step-parenting.And if you treat these lanes like they’re all the same road, you will find yourself frustrated, exhausted, and emotionally gridlocked. So here’s my challenge for you today:Take a breath.Look at your situation honestly. And ask yourself:What lane am I actually in?And am I staying there—or am I drifting?
