Will you leave a legacy on your college team ?

Today, I want to talk about something that isn't discussed enough in college recruiting. We spend years helping athletes get recruited, commit to a college, and achieve the dream of competing in NCAA gymnastics. But what happens after you arrive on campus? At first, everything revolves around making the lineup, learning your routines, balancing classes, and adjusting to college life. Those are all important goals. But eventually, something changes. You begin to realize that college gymnastics is about much more than scores, routines, or even championships. It's about people. It's about relationships. It's about the legacy you leave behind.Reminder: People may forget what you said, but most people never forget how you made them feel. Why gymnasts transfer or change their verbal commitment

Most athletes I believe choose a team and hope it is for all 4 - 5 years of college, however I am working with many gymnasts that are in the Portal or changing their verbal commitment. The NCAA is making it easier on the athlete to switch teams, but this is not always ideal. It is important to think through the pros and cons. For some it is certainly a change that needs to happen and it is becoming more common. I share 10 reasons why this often happens and how we as advisors typically help in these difficult situations. www.jhicksconsulting.com
