Easter Changes Us Forever - Easter Sunday
5th April 2026 - Ben O'ReillyEaster is not just meant to move us for a moment. It is meant to change us forever. In this Easter Sunday message from 2 Corinthians 5:13–21, Ben explores what it means that Jesus not only died for all, but was raised again, so that all who live would no longer live for themselves, but for him. Because of the cross and the empty tomb, our debt is cleared, the way to the Father is open, and a whole new life is possible in Christ. If Easter has ever felt familiar but distant, this message is an invitation to see again the life-changing power of the risen Jesus.

The Cross Is Compelling - Good Friday
3rd April 2026 - Ben O'ReillyGood Friday is not just moving. It is compelling. In this message from 2 Corinthians 5:13–15, we reflect on the love of Christ shown at the cross, a love so great that Jesus did for us what we could never do for ourselves. He paid the debt of sin, made rescue possible, and opened the way into a new life marked by freedom in him. This message explores why Jesus had to die, why we could never save ourselves, and how the cross calls us not just to feel something, but to come to Jesus and be changed by what he has done.

Remembering When God Turned The Story Around
22nd March 2026 - Ben O'ReillyBen preached from Esther 9 and explored the festival of Purim, the practice God’s people adopted to remember the great reversal he brought about for them.In this message, we are reminded that faith is not sustained only by fresh emotion or present clarity. It is also strengthened as we remember what God has already done. Whether through dramatic turning points, quiet steady grace, or seasons where we are still waiting for God to act, remembering his faithfulness helps anchor our trust in the present. As we move toward Easter, this sermon also points us to the greatest reversal of all in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Watch now and be encouraged to remember what God has done, and let that remembrance strengthen your faith today.

When God is the Main Character
15th March 2026 - Shelby O'ReillyIn this message from Esther 5 and 6, Shelby explores what true courage really looks like. In a world that tells us to live with “main character energy” and take control of our own story, Esther shows us a better way. Her courage is not loud, self-driven, or controlling. It is humble, patient, discerning, and surrendered to God.As the story turns in an unexpected way, we see that even in a book where God is never named, he is still the true main character, quietly orchestrating events according to his purposes. Shelby reminds us that our calling is not to control outcomes, but to live with faithfulness, obedience, and trust. Because of what Jesus has already accomplished for us, we are free to loosen our grip, release control, and rest in the God who holds the whole story.

God Is Still Faithful
8th March 2026 - Christine DaymonWhen faith becomes comfortable or passive, it can be easy to lose sight of what God is doing. In this message from Esther 4, Christine explores how God remains faithful even when His people drift, calling them back to humility, prayer, and obedience. Through Mordecai’s challenge to Esther, we are reminded that God is still at work behind the scenes and invites us to trust Him and step forward in faith.

Why We Do Gathering
22nd February 2026 - Ben O'ReillyWe explore how God grows and strengthens us through one another, and why meeting together isn’t just tradition, but essential to our life in Christ. Through a simple illustration of how a bundle of sticks is stronger together, and a practical moment of shared encouragement, we’re reminded that following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. We need each other to keep moving forward, stay on track, and face life’s obstacles with courage and faith.Scriptures: Hebrews 10:24-25

Why We Do Baptism
15th February 2026 - Shelby O'ReillyBaptism has always been part of the life of the church, but it’s worth asking why. Looking at Romans 6 and Acts 2, we see that baptism tells a story. It reflects Jesus’ death and resurrection, and it symbolises our own turning from the old life and stepping into new life with him. The water itself isn’t magical. It is a visible expression of something God has already done in the heart.Baptism is deeply personal, but it is never private. From the earliest days of the church, people responded to Jesus publicly. It is a way of saying, “Yes, I belong to him.” Whether you were baptised years ago or are still considering that step, the invitation remains the same: to live fully immersed in the freedom, grace, and new life that Jesus gives.Scripture: Romans 6:6–11, Acts 2:37–41

Why We Do Tithing
8th February 2026 - Ben O'ReillyMoney can be personal, emotional, and sometimes uncomfortable to talk about in church. But generosity is about far more than a transactional act or a religious obligation. In this message, we explore how giving is a spiritual practice that gently shapes our hearts and teaches us what it means to trust God. Rather than pressure or obligation, tithing is framed as an invitation to participate in what God is already doing and to be formed over time through simple, faithful practices. This sermon creates space to reflect on our own patterns of giving, what they might reveal about what we trust, and how God patiently meets us and forms us as we learn to place our security in Him.Key Scriptures: Psalm 24:1; 1 Chronicles 29:14; Deuteronomy 14:22–23; Matthew 6:21; Matthew 23:23

Why We Do Communion
1st February 2026 - Ben O'ReillyWhy do Christians take communion — and what does it really mean?In this sermon from Why We Do What We Do, we explore communion as a meal of remembrance, confession, and hope. Tracing its roots from the Passover to the Last Supper, this message invites us to see communion not as empty ritual, but as a grace-filled moment that tells the truth about us, the truth about Jesus, and the future God has promised.Luke 22 | 1 Corinthians 11 | Isaiah 53 | Philippians 1

Tracing God’s Hand in Our Story
25th January 2026 - Ben O'ReillyIn this message, we reflect on our own stories and consider how God has been present through the moments that have shaped us.We explore how God works in ordinary experiences, difficult seasons, and unfinished chapters of life, and how patterns of growth and faithfulness often become clearer when we look back. This sermon is about recognising where God has been at work, and how those moments have shaped who we are becoming. As individuals and as a church community, learning to notice God’s work in our stories helps us discern where God may be leading us next.

Resilience Not Retreat
4th January 2026 - Rod VardyScripture: Jeremiah 1:4-19; 11:18-19; 12:1-5; 29:11-14What does it mean to stay faithful when life becomes hard?In this sermon, we are taken through the life of the prophet Jeremiah, a man called by God before he was born, yet deeply familiar with fear, opposition, injustice, and suffering. Through biblical reflection and personal stories of faith, mission, and perseverance, this message challenges us to choose resilience over retreat and courage over mediocrity. As we begin a new year, this sermon asks an important question: will we shuffle along with the crowd, or will we run with the horses? Anchored in God’s promises and strengthened by spiritual disciplines, we are reminded that God is with us, knows us, and is faithful to complete the work He has begun in us.A timely and encouraging message for anyone facing uncertainty, pressure, or discouragement in their walk with God.

What Are You Living For?
28th December 2025 - Shelby O'ReillyScripture: Mark 8:34-9:1In this sermon from Mark 8:34 to 9:1, Jesus asks a confronting question that cuts beneath belief and straight into commitment. Through a relatable story, rich biblical reflection, and Jesus’ words about denying ourselves and taking up our cross, we are invited to examine the lenses we use to measure our lives. Comfort, security, success, or Christ. As we stand on the edge of a new year, this message challenges us to move beyond simply believing in Jesus and toward wholeheartedly living for Him. What would change if we viewed our plans, priorities, and daily rhythms through the lens of Christ rather than human concerns? This sermon is a call to honest reflection, courageous faith, and renewed commitment. A reminder that following Jesus is not just about knowing who He is, but choosing, day by day, to live for Him and Him alone.

Finding Peace in God’s Presence
21st December 2025 - Shelby O'ReillyScripture: Psalm 73Series: Missing Peace? In this Christmas message from Psalm 73, we explore the tension between faith and suffering, especially when it feels like others are thriving while we are struggling. The psalmist’s honest journey reveals how pain can lead to envy, bitterness, and doubt, but also how everything changes when we step into God’s presence. Through Scripture, personal stories, and the image of a missing puzzle piece, this sermon points us to Jesus, the Man of Sorrows and the Prince of Peace, who meets us in our pain and transforms us from the inside out. This is a message for anyone who feels like peace is missing this Christmas.Includes material provided by and thanks to Crossover Australia.

What Is A Church?
30th November 2025 - Shelby O'ReillyScripture: Acts 2:42-47This week, Pastor Shelby led our all-ages Community Sunday with a creative look at what the Bible says actually makes a church. Starting with a fun drawing exercise with the kids, we explored Acts 2:42–47 and discovered that the heart of the church isn’t a building. It’s people learning together, praying together, giving generously, welcoming others, doing life side-by-side, and joyfully worshipping God.Through Scripture, hands-on creativity, and the energy of our youngest disciples, we were reminded that church isn’t something we “go to” once a week. Because we belong to Jesus, we are the church every day of the week.

Crooked Lines
16th November 2025 - Steve IngramScripture: Ecclesiastes 7Guest speaker Steve Ingram shares at the Commissioning of Ben and Shelby O'Reilly. In seasons of change, we often long for straight lines, simple answers, and predictable outcomes. Yet Ecclesiastes reminds us that God is at work in the very places that feel uncertain, winding, or unexpected. In this message, we explore the wisdom of living beyond life “under the sun”, letting go of false hopes, and recognising how God shapes us through the crooked lines drawn across our path. In a moment of transition for our church, this sermon invites us to trust the God who holds us, leads us, and writes straight paths using the curves we never saw coming.

Sustained By New Life
2nd November 2025 - Jackie SmokerScripture: Colossians 3:1-17Series: Colossians: Sustained By Christ (Week 4)In this message, we’re reminded that as followers of Jesus, we’re called to take off the old self and put on the new self — to clothe ourselves in Christ.Using a lighthearted illustration about dressing up, this sermon looks at how easily we pick up false identities shaped by culture, career, or other people’s expectations. But God invites us to step into who we truly are in Him: chosen, holy, forgiven, and deeply loved. As we walk through this passage together, we’re challenged to let go of anger, bitterness, and pride, and instead put on compassion, kindness, humility, and love.Challenge: What will you divest - take off, put to death? And what will you invest - put on, through Christ's covering?

Spiritually, it’s no different.
