Rusty Stevens, a self-proclaimed fiscal hawk, shares with CTC his viewpoints on fiscal management and his desire to help protect his fellow DuPage County taxpayers and their families from costly mistakes. He believes "One man" can make a difference. It was his awakened awareness of the lack of concern by certain elected officials, that became the fuel that drove him to run for the DuPage County board. He explains, in detail, some of those concerns, giving solid examples of how the current board could benefit from his practical, common-sense, fiscally responsible approach to current and future planned projects, and how he could save the county taxpayers money. Additionally, due to his advocacy for the environment, his approach to project management would also directly benefit DuPage by promoting and implementing project solutions that are also environmentally friendly.

Barry Winters and Barry Newman discuss with CTC what exactly is COS or the Convention of States. They explain that the Convention of States is an activism movement established in order to amend the constitution according to Article V. The intent is to address specific ambiguities. They go into further details to explain the goals of the movement and the process necessary to accomplish the goals. They explain that according to Article V, two-thirds of the 50 states, or 34 states, is mandated in order to force Congress to call for a Convention of States. To date, 20 state legislatures have passed identical Resolutions calling for a convention to discuss and recommend the amendment proposals. Currently, the proposals are limited to the following three subject areas: 1. Reduce the size, scope and jurisdiction of the federal government 2. Place term limits on federal officials 3. Impose fiscal restraints on the federal government Once 34 states have submitted identical Resolutions, Congress has a ministerial duty to call for a convention of states including setting the date and place of the convention. Congress has no other role or authority in this process. Additionally, the governors and the President have no role in the process. As Article V further states, ratification requires agreement by three-quarters of the state legislatures, or 38 of the 50 states, which is the highest bar in the Constitution. Article V of the Constitution states: The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to the Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call forth a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Dr. Robert Renteria, Candidate for Lt. He could just as easily retire, but instead, has taken on the headache of running for the office of DuPage County Sheriff, simply because he is driven to fulfill his lifelong commitment to public service to the men and women living in DuPage County. He also shares his strong desire to continue the legacy of Sheriff James Mendrick, promoting the Sheriff's ground-breaking and innovative initiatives in the county jail, and throughout the state.

Jeanne Ives was an Illinois Representative, and candidate for Illinois Governor. She currently serves as a political activist, running an organization called Breakthrough Ideas. She sits down with CTC to discuss Illinois politics and her many years serving the Illinois public. Jeanne shares her unique perspective on JB's budget mismanagement and Springfield's lack of transparency, on Illinois' sanctuary state fiasco, and the billions of tax dollars wasted, including the 2.1B$ bailout of Exelon. She even explains how the teacher's pension fund went from a well-run and solvent program to the broken and insolvent mess it is today. She also explains why she started her non-profit Breakthrough Ideas and how it became a resource for the public, looking for information to understand and dive deeper into the underlying grit of Illinois mismanaged public funds, including the fraud, instigated by our current Illinois government.

Aaron Del Mar sits down with Conservative Talk Chicago and discusses his political journey leading to Springfield. He shares how he and candidate for Governor Darren Bailey forged their alliance and aligned their efforts, to engage with the public and run to serve its citizens in the highest offices in Illinois. He discusses the commitment necessary to run a state-wide campaign and the family sacrifice necessary to accomplish that. Mike Pierce, retired Lt. Colonel of the Army shares his unique perspective on life and how serving in the armed forces have made a difference in the lives of veterans. Because serving in the military is not without risk, many veterans need supportive services to help them reintegrate from military to civilian life as well as give them purpose and community. Lt. Col. Pierce acquired the land and started an organization called New Horizons for Heroes for just that purpose. Though in its infancy, he discusses its goals, programs, and how it is geared to help veterans transition back to civilian life, with life-skills, additional training, and a support structure designed to facilitate successfully meeting those needs. Lt. Col. Pierce also explains how working with other military organizations such as the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as civilian organizations, business, civic groups, and educators could work together to reinvigorate our citizens, and especially our youth, in the ways of community and patriotism. Additionally, by these groups working together, civic standards such as respect for the rule of law, community service, skills to recognize and question bad influences, and understanding the definition and value of good citizenship, could be firmly reestablished as mainstays of our society.

Through hard work and a commitment to his fellow man, he has strived to help those facing similar plights. He believes our government has lost its way and could use a reset to a commitment that focuses of the people as participants in their own governance, underpinned with a fair and pragmatic interpretation of law.
