With support from Air Force CCT, Coalition forces and Marines from the 24th MEU Direct Air Support Center.

    Send us Fan MailI sit down with Gunny Borland to talk about his career in the Marine Corps, and the foundation he helped build as a founding member of the Marine Air Traffic Control Mobile team. GySgt Lou Borland is from Kenosha, Wisconsin enlisted in 1969 till 1973, with deployments to Vietnam serving Marine Air Control Squadron 2, 4, and 5 as an Air Control/Anti-Aircraft Warfare Operator. After a short time in the reserves and multiple years away from active duty, Gunny Borland Reenlisted as an Air Traffic Controller in 1979, till his retirement in 1995 in his career he completed Jump School, TERPs for both Navy and Air Force, and Air Force Combat Controller School, multiple deployments and helped developed the course and TACSOP for the Marine Air Traffic Control Mobile Team held bi annually every year at Weapons Tactics Instructor's Course (WTI).
