Walk For Webster 2026 And Other Weatherfield Wanderings
Recently, we made another trip up north to take part in the second Walk For Webster, a sponsored stroll between the old and new Corrie sets accompanied by a gaggle of listeners. In this special episode of the podcast, we chat about the experience, share stories about revisiting the Coronation Street exhibit and chat about visiting a handful of spots that the show has visited on location over the years, including the places where Julie Carp and Renee Roberts met their maker! Also available as a video on YouTube, including tonnes of photos and footage from the weekend. https://youtu.be/AIskO8uTjPg If you'd like to donate to the Walk For Webster fund, just head over to our JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/page/soapweek2026

Conversation Street Episode 740
On this week's Conversation Street, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 6th and the 10th July (Episodes #11,893 - #11,897). Just a short episode of the podcast this week - by our standards at least - as we're up in Manchester for the Walk For Webster this weekend, we've had a bit of a busy day and we're absolutely knackered! Fortunately, there wasn't too much in the way of massive story twists or revelations to keep us talking in today's episode, although we do delve relatively deeply into Christina's admission that she has a spending addiction - to be honest, we're just pleased she hasn't been up to anything irredeemably sneaky! Also this week, Abi discovers she's got a bit of a mould issue at her flat that nearly has fatal consequences for Alfie, Will tries to adjust to life after Megan, and Tyrone comes face to face with his long-lost father!

Resident Review: 5 Coronation Street - Is There More To The Winter-Browns Than Money Woes?
It's Resident Review time again, and this week, we're moving down one house in the terrace and looking at Number 5 Coronation Street! Like Number 3, The Winter-Brown interior hasn't been seen on screen at all so far in 2026, but that hasn't stopped us from sharing our thoughts on the family - how they've fared in terms of storylines over the past few years and what direction we'd like to see them go in future. Are the quads nearly reaching the stage where they'll be able to be used more, and what about Joseph, who'd been very much absent recently but is actually only a little younger than Sam! And is it possible for Gemma and Chesney to have a story that isn't based on them not having any money? Tune in to hear our thoughts!

Conversation Street Episode 739
This episode of the podcast covers the action in Weatherfield between the 30th June and the 3rd July (Episodes #11,888 - 11,892). The lion's share of the screen time was taken up by the drama surrounding Megan's trial this week, so what was our verdict on how it went down? On the whole, it was pretty enjoyable, though we can't deny we would have preferred a bit more in the way of evidence and surprise twists - Will's initial testimony that there was no relationship between him and Megan was certainly a shock, but once that was over, we couldn't help but feel most of the rest of the trial played it a bit safe for our liking. Away from the courtroom, Sam's turning corner in his recovery, but will Nick and Leanne's actions threaten to derail it? Meanwhile, things are looking up on the romance front for Asha, Sarah and Jodie get into a stalemate situation, and Ruby and Hope are brewing a surprise for Tyrone. In The Kabin, we remember Lovely Gay Ted as news of actor Michael Byrne's death broke this week, and we take a look at Corrie's nominations in the Inside Soap Awards. That's followed by the feedback section, where we hear more of your thoughts on the identity of Theo's killer plus your initial reactions to Megan's trial. We round things off with a bit of a spoilery segment as we chat about this week's cast news. Street Talk - 00:17:05 The Kabin - 02:29:34 Feedback - 02:57:38 Kabin Extra - 03:32:43

2026: Reflections On The Year So Far
We’ve reached the halfway point of 2026, and you know what that means – it’s time for Coronation Street’s mid-year review! Corrie had some big promises to live up to going into the year, with a flash-forward murder mystery and, of course, its much-hyped crossover with Emmerdale. In this episode of the podcast, we ask whether the show has lived up to its own hype and whether both events have generated enough compelling storylines of their own. There've been some huge revelations in the form of Carl and Ben’s parentage, some bittersweet moments for Debbie, and the massively Marmite machinations of Evil Roy - not to mention the big scheduling shake-up at the start of the year. Basically, there’s a heck of a lot to cover in this episode, and we hope you enjoy listening!

Conversation Street Episode 738
In our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 22nd and the 25th June (Episodes #11,883 - 11,887) At last, Theo's killer has been revealed - and it's not at all who we expected! (Despite Corrie making it very clear over the past few weeks that Gary and Sarah were caught up in the murder somehow...) We've had a couple of days since recording our instant reaction podcast to mull over Monday's big episode and rewatch the scaffolding scene a few more times - and the big question is still whether or not it was self-defence... Also this week in Weatherfield, Megan has one last ditch attempt to persuade Will to go easy on her at next week's trial, Asha and Nina move in together, and Jodie's latest attempt to make David jealous backfires! Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we discuss the rumoured axing of the British Soap Awards and take a look at the Corrie fashion at the TRICs. That's followed by more of your feedback - including some conflicting views! - on this week's drama. Street Talk - 00:06:37 The Kabin - 02:37:11 Feedback - 03:00:21

Ian Reddington Interview (Vernon Tomlin on Corrie) | The Dreamer, The Drums & The Drama!
After taking a final bow on Classic Corrie just recently, Vernon Tomlin's back for an encore as we chat with actor Ian Reddington about his time on the cobbles. Ian opens up about working with Beverley Callard, chats about his own ideas about Vernon that were brought life on screen and of course, reminisces about recording the classic ballad, (Don't Fall Into) The Mason's Arms.

Theo's Killer Revealed - We React!
Theo's killer has finally been revealed! At the end of tonight's episode, we discovered just who was responsible for the Theo taking a tumble off the scaffolding - and it certainly wasn't the person we were expecting! In this special 20-minute episode of the podcast, we give our instant reactions to the reveal and ponder what it could mean next for everyone else involved...

Conversation Street Episode 737
On our latest edition of the podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 15th and the 19th June (Episodes #11,878 - 11,882). A pretty bangin' week of Corrie this week, we reckon, and we're not just talking about that gunshot in the garage on Tuesday's episode (which nobody nearby apparently heard?) Speaking of which, although the scenes of Carl holding Kevin and co up in the garage didn't quite have us on the edge of our seats the way Corrie probably wanted, we're definitely intrigued by the possibility of loose cannon Jodie now in possession of the weapon. Also this week, Debbie and the girls have a fun couple of episodes at the Costa del Weatherfield, but just why is Christina acting so suspicious? Speaking of suspicions, we loved Maria's growing concerns about Gary and Sarah. We're convinced that neither of them are responsible for Theo's death - but do they THINK they are, or perhaps they know (or at least believe they know) who the real killer is? Not Guilty! The Corrie Characters Who Didn't Do Any Of It! | Part 2
For this week’s bonus podcast, we return to the stories of those unfortunate Corrie residents who’ve found themselves behind bars for crimes they didn’t commit. Picking up where we left off last week, we revisit Gail’s imprisonment for the murder of her hapless husband, Yasmeen’s time on remand for trying to bump off Geoff and the time when Peter found himself sharing a cell with a certain hot-headed blast from the past... We also consider whether Coronation Street will ever be able to recreate the public frenzy sparked by Deirdre’s imprisonment: with that benchmark seemingly impossible to beat, which current character would stand the best chance of having fans metaphorically waving banners outside the studios demanding their release? And, perhaps more importantly, whose wrongful imprisonment story could still feel fresh and compelling in 2026? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

Conversation Street Episode 736
On this week's podcast, we chat about the drama in Weatherfield between the 7th and the 12th June (Episodes #11,873 - 11,877). Although there were a handful of scenes focusing on Debbie and the Platts' stories this week, the lion's share of the screen time was given to Sam's psychosis and the ongoing murder investigation, with Corrie continuing to drip feed us information about what exactly happened the night Theo died. We have to admit, we found the revelation that Gary was up there on the scaffolding at some point the night of the murder particularly intriguing, but do we think he was the killer? Despite the bloodied scaffold (or was it a sledgehammer?) in his hand, we're going to say no. As for the other major story, we know that Evil Roy is a total Marmite addition to the show, but for those of us who can't get enough of it, we were dining on a deliciously thick helping this week - and honestly, we couldn't take our eyes off the screen whenever he came on! With Sam ending the week at the hospital, though, is this the last we'll see of the Shakespeare-quoting figment of the boy's imagination, or does Evil Roy still have one final act to play? Not really anything huge in the way of Corrie news this week, so we give The Kabin a swerve, but as always there's plenty of feedback to get share! Street Talk - 00:11:37 Feedback - 01:57:35

Not Guilty! The Corrie Characters Who Didn't Do Any Of It! | Part 1
For this week's bonus podcast, we take a look at a selection of Corrie characters who've been banged up for crimes they didn't commit! With both Summer and Debbie spending time at His Majesty's pleasure in the past few months alone, we thought the time was right to chat about this increasingly common type of storyline, exploring when it works and when it falls sadly short. Plenty of characters have followed in Deirdre's footsteps since she famously cried out in court that she "didn't do any of it!" back in 1998, but have any of Corrie's attempts to recreate the success of that story ever come close? Unfortunately, time has not been on our side this week, and we've not managed to cover every single wrongful imprisonment storyline the show has produced over the years. Don't worry though - we'll be back next week with Part 2! In the meantime, we'd love to hear from you: which Weatherfield miscarriage of justice storylines stand out as your favourite and least favourite? Write in and let us know!

Conversation Street Episode 735
On this podcast, we chat about what went on in Weatherfield between the 1st and the 4th June 2026 (Episodes #11,869 - 11,872). This week saw Daniel hit rock bottom after a meltdown at school before following in the footsteps of both Will and Sarah by getting completely plastered. Will Adam and Tracy’s scheme to teach the teacher a lesson be enough to pull him out of his downward spiral, or is he beyond help at this point? Meanwhile, Jodie continues to work towards her mysterious endgame, whatever that may actually be (seriously, does anyone know?). Also this week, Todd’s missing phone leads Lisa down another avenue in Theo’s murder case, Idris and Leanne continue to get cosy and Sam finds himself pushed aside by Hope in favour of Will. With Evil Roy’s influence still hanging over him, just what might he be persuaded to do next? Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where congratulations are in order for a couple of cast members and we take a look at the latest chaos that the World Cup is about to inflict on the schedules. Resident Review - 3 Coronation Street
After debuting our latest series four weeks ago - the Resident Review - we're back again to discuss the state of another household. Rather than going directly next door to the Rovers and chatting about Number 1 (as we know there's something important coming up there pretty soon), we thought we'd skip over to the Baileys at Number 3. You can't deny that they've been very much on the quiet side of late, and it could even be argued that all this time after their debut, they've still not properly settled in, but we use this episode as a chance to review their current status on the Street, look back at their most recent stories, and ponder what the powers that be should do with them next.

Conversation Street Episode 734
On this week's episode of the podcast, we chat about what happened in Corrie between the 25th and the 29th May (Episodes #11,864 - 11,868). There's a new guy in town, and in keeping with seemingly all of Corrie's new additions to the cast recently, he's a bit of a git! Idris schmoozed his way into Weatherfield this week, and it didn't take long for Leanne to fall for his roguish charms - just how long will it take for her to find out he's not quite as 'chill' as he first appears? Also this week, Daniel loses control after Truthteller's trolling intensifies, Ben worries that Megan's left Will seriously damaged, and Tyrone's got a secret that could set Summer free... but will he risk his own arrest by revealing what he knows about the night Theo died? Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we take a first look at the scheduling chaos in store for Corrie once the World Cup starts, and we round off the podcast with more of your feedback on the recent goings on in Weatherfield. The Hopkins Family Character Profile
It’s time for another classic character profile - though this week, we’re tackling an entire family in one go, because let’s face it, most of them probably couldn’t sustain a whole episode on their own! Arriving on the cobbles in 1974, the Hopkins clan - henpecked husband Idris, long-suffering Vera and formidable matriarch Megan - only stuck around for six months, so what exactly went wrong, and did the show give up on them too soon? We discuss the family’s brief and, at time, chaotic stay in Weatherfield and the continuing adventures of daughter Tricia, who managed to outlast the rest of her relatives and carve out a few memorable stories of her own.

Conversation Street Episode 733
On the latest episode of Conversation Street, we chat about all the Corrie drama between the 18th and the 22nd May 2026 (Episodes #11,859 - 11,864). This week's Corrie had a major focus on Summer, who'd been doing a pretty good job of flying under the radar since the wedding episode despite viewers knowing that she was one of the last people to see him alive. Thanks to a few pieces of compelling evidence, the police haul her in for questioning this week and by the end of Friday's episode she's being charged with murder - but just why is Tyrone keeping quiet about her evidence, and what exactly is Christina still hiding? Also this week, Jodie continues to play her manipulative game with Daniel, Maggie begins to worm her way back into the Rovers and Roy's Rolls has its not so grand reopening. Up next, it's The Kabin, and we check out who has - and possibly more importantly this year! - has not been nominated for an NTA, and we round off the show with more of your listener feedback. Listener Questions - Characters We've Changed Our Minds On + Kids Returning As Adults!
This week's bonus podcast is a listener question segment, where we mull over two more topics suggested by our lovely ducklings. First off, Lese wants to know about the characters we've done a bit of a U-turn on over the years. Is there anyone we used to love but have gone cold on over the years? What about characters we've grown to love? Turns out there are plenty! After that, we tackle a questions from Rebecca, who wants to know if there are any children from Corrie's past who we'd like to see return as an adult. What would they be like, and what would be the reason to bring them back? We reckon we get a couple of good ideas together here! As always, we'd love to know your thoughts on these topics, so let us know in the comments!

Conversation Street Episode 732
On this week's podcast, we chat about everything that went on in Weatherfield between the 11th and the 15th May (Episodes #11,854 - 11,858) It’s been a long time coming, but Tim finally got that chat with Will this week, convincing the lad not only to admit that the rumours about him and Megan were true, but also to report her to the police - but is there enough evidence to put her away for good? Meanwhile, Sam’s hallucinations take an even darker turn when he thinks he overhears Nick and Toyah talking about him and receives a visit from a deeply sinister and uncanny Roy. Just what will this devil on his shoulder persuade him to do next? Also this week, Maggie drops a bombshell on Ben when she’s forced to confess what really happened the night his father died, Summer reveals she’s been offered a university place in America, and Daniel strikes up an unexpected friendship with Jodie. In The Kabin segment, we're joined by John from Corriepedia, who chats about some remarkable discoveries made this week about Corrie's 1960 dry runs, and we finish off the show with more of your fabulous feedback. Sam Blakeman Character Profile
This week’s bonus episode of the podcast is a character profile of someone who’s definitely up there as one of our favourite characters of the 2020s: Sam Blakeman. Ever since he first rocked up in his newfound dad Nick’s life six years ago, we’ve loved the precocious young scamp’s quirky personality, passion for science and astronomy and knack for making even the most hardened of Weatherfield criminals go soft around the edges. Over the years, he’s been through far more than most adults on the Street - from Natasha’s tragic death and his heartbreaking selective mutism to chess tournaments, prison visits and his on-off romance with Hope - and through it all, Jude Riordan has continued to give one of the strongest performances from a young actor we’ve ever seen on the show. In this episode, we chart Sam’s story from the very beginning, discuss his best relationships, revisit some of his biggest moments and consider where we'd like Corrie to take Sam in the future once he's finished navigating that tricky time in anyone's life that is high school... So grab your telescope, point it towards Weatherfield and join us as we blast off through the life and times of one of Corrie’s brightest young stars!

Conversation Street Episode 731
In this week's podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 4th and the 8th May (Episodes #11,849 - 11,853). The murder victim has finally revealed, and we can finally all stop speculating about who's going to croak - and move on to who actually dunnit. Corrie's already revealed their suspect lineup, and this week, we get to see how they act in the immediate aftermath of Theo's body being found. In the case of George, Todd and Christina, we can all agree that they very likely had nothing to do with it, and although there's definitely still something Gary's keeping quiet about, we can't imagine it was him either. There's also the question that none of the other characters are asking yet (since they don't know she was there) - what went down between Summer and Theo in the moments before he was bashed on the bonce, and why hasn't she told anyone she was in the flat with him? Despite all this, our prime suspect is still Miles - or at a push, his mum Danielle. Let's see how the coming weeks unfold and maybe our minds will be changed, eh? Just a tiny Kabin segment this week as we get very excited about the news that Julie Hesmondhalgh will be taking part in the next series of Celebrity Traitors, and we round off the show by hearing about more of your thoughts and theories on Murder Week in the feedback section. Resident Review: The Rovers Return
For this week’s bonus episode, we’re launching a brand new series where we take an in-depth look at the residents of a single home on the Street, sharing our thoughts on how they’re faring in the show right now. First up, we’re heading to the Rovers Return to talk all things Driscoll - Corrie’s newest family, who’ve been at the centre of the action since arriving last October. From Maggie’s secret connection to Jim McDonald to Will’s grooming storyline and Ben’s possible heart condition, they’ve certainly not been short of drama. Now that they’ve been around for six months, it feels like the perfect time to sit down and have a proper natter about how they’re settling in.

Conversation Street Episode 730
Our latest episode of the podcast covers Corrie's much hyped Murder Week, which ran between the 27th April and the 1st May (Episodes #11,844 - 11,848). Well there we go, then! After months of speculation, it's finally been revealed that the body Betsy found after her mum's wedding belonged to none other than the scummy, scheming scaffolder himself, Theo! At last, we no longer have to keep the victim's identity a secret, and not only can we chat about what we think about it being him (and not Megan, as we'd previously been so certain about!), we can also share a few more details about what it was like watching snippets of this week's episodes at last month's press day. We absolutely loved Corrie this week, from the unexpected twists to the single thread episode format - and we didn't even mind the more filming look or soundtrack in places either! (Not only that, but Michael even has something that could be construed as complimentary about the fireworks on Tuesday's episode too!) An absolute banger of a week, and we had so much fun talking about it, the Street Talk segment itself managed to last nearly four hours.. Needless to say, we didn't really have the energy for anything else after this, especially as there was so much listener feedback to get through, but worry ye not - a feedback focused extra podcast will be recorded in the next couple of days, so do be sure to send in your thoughts!

Press Day Interviews - Sydney Martin, James Cartwright, Julia Goulding & Olivia Frances Brown, Beth Nixon and Pauline McGlynn
In the second of our compilation interviews carried out on the Murder Week press day, we interview a slew of stars including the incredibly sweet Sydney Martin, off the wall James Cartwright and telly legend Pauline McLynn! As with last week, these interviews are all available to listen to on our YouTube channel, and a number of them are quite visual in parts, so we'd definitely recommend that option if you're mulling over which one to go with. Sound quality is variable again, we're afraid, but we did have the help of a couple of hardworking listeners who did what they could to take the edge off the tinniness... On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 19th and the 23rd April (Episodes #11,839 - 11,843) The date every Corrie fan has been waiting for over the past couple of months has finally arrived - and whether you were tuning in for marriage or murder, anticipation was high ahead of Thursday’s trip to Weatherfield. Of course, viewers remain just as much in the dark about who meets their maker, but with a couple of new suspects emerging this week - along with even more motives - there’s still plenty to theorise about. As for the wedding, this was our second viewing after being lucky enough to catch a sneak preview at the Corrie press day, and our opinions on the episode did actually change on a repeat viewing - for the better, we might add! It's a jam packed Street Talk this week, and we can't wait to find out what happens next! Conversation Street Episode 728
On this week's podcast, we take a look at what went on in Weatherfield between the 10th and the 17th April 2026 (Episodes #11,832 - 11,837) Although on the whole we felt like this was another good week Corrie, it still demonstrated to us the very highs and very lows of what the show can deliver nowadays. On the one hand, you have an embarrassing 'fire' at Roy's Rolls that was achieved with not even a flicker of a flame and just a load of very CGI-looking smoke; on the other, you have Wednesday's exemplary single thread episode that followed Todd and his friends as he finally broke free of Theo's control and went to the police after another terrible beating. Props to everyone involved there, and we really do hope that the smiling Todd we enjoyed at the end of the week is the one we'll be seeing a lot more of in the coming weeks and months - he deserves it! Also this week, Carl discovers another potential source of cash, Jodie puts her stolen warrant card to use and Ben continues to be at loggerheads with Maggie. We're up in Manchester again at the moment with a couple of busy days ahead of us, so we've had to record early this week, covering the episodes of running from Sunday 5th to Thursday 9th April (Episodes #11,828 - 11,832). There’s a huge Easter bombshell for Steve and Ben this week as Maggie drops the news that they’re half-brothers. Both men are left reeling, but it’s Ben who’s hit hardest, immediately fearing what it could mean for his own health - has he inherited his newly discovered da’s condition? In fact, medical drama is everywhere you look this week (though, refreshingly for Corrie, not a hospital scene in sight!). Sam appears to be in the grip of a serious mental health crisis whilst Debbie undergoes an MRI scan that confirms her dementia is worsening. Elsewhere, klepto Jodie adds yet another item to her growing stash, Tim decides it’s time to confront Tricia, and Theo walks in on Todd and Sarah together at the flat - but what fallout lies ahead for poor Todd? Another slow news week this week, but still plenty of feedback, so we round off the episode with another rummage through the virtual mailbag! Street Talk - 00:09:32 Feedback - 02:32:50

Conversation Street Episode 726
On our Eastery edition of the podcast, we take a look back at what egg-citing adventures the residents of Weatherfield got up to between the 29th March and the 3rd April (Episodes #11,823 - 11,827). Corrie was back on fine form again this week thanks to the Driscoll story continuing to move at a good pace - and with Will now thinking his grandma's responsible for the death of his unborn baby and Ben now questioning his own parentage after an unfortunate slip of the tongue from his ma, Maggie could well be in the firing line when April 23rd comes around... Meanwhile, the penny finally drops for Gary that there was maybe something a bit off about last week's wedding ceremony, and he leaves Theo in no doubt that he's onto him. Also this week, a ruckus in the prison earns Lou some time in solitary, George's day in court arrives and Jodie cancels Bethany's date behind her back - what exactly is she up to..? Another quiet week on the news front means there's no Kabin, but there's plenty of feedback to get through so we end the podcast with more of your thoughts on recent Corrie. An Audience With Helen Worth
Recently, we headed up north again for a very special event that was being held at the Hope Mill Theatre - a live interview with Corrie legend Helen Worth! And not only that, but the person asking the questions was Julie Hesmondhalgh, known to millions of Corrie viewers as the beloved Hayley Cropper. In this episode of the podcast, we chat about some of our favourite tidbits from the interview as well as sharing what we discovered might be coming up on the show in a few months' time after noticing a few clues on set when we took a quick tour of the cobbles. Also available as a video podcast here: https://youtu.be/4tjixasEaR8

Conversation Street Episode 725
Will's clearly still in denial, Mal makes an offer most vile, and Theo takes Todd up the aisle! With no Friday Corrie this week, we're coming at you early with this episode of the podcast, covering the 23rd to the 26th March trips to Weatherfield (Episodes #11,819 - 11,822). After last week's heavy Driscoll focus, this week's action mainly favoured the Theo and Todd story, and whilst many viewers may well have forgotten that their wedding had been planned for this week, Theo clearly hadn't, and managed to weedle his was back into Todd's affections just in time. And what a peculiar wedding it was! On the one hand, you've got Corrie making out that this is a serious story about coercive control and abusive relationships; on the other, you've got comedy incompetent registrar and Gary and Maria obliviously cheering on from the sidelines despite major red flags? We certainly had a lot to unpack here! Also on the cobbles this week, a paranoid Sam chucks away his mobile phone, Mal makes an indecent proposal to Bernie, and Carla and Lisa struggle with babysitting duties for Connie. After a quick news section where we cover Corrie's recent Bafta nod, we finish things off with more of your feedback. Street Talk - 00:11:14 The Kabin - 02:39:21 Feedback - 02:41:55

Listener Questions - The Perfect Corrie Convention + Do Issue Stories Work?
For this week's bonus podcast, we delve into the mailbag once more and pull out two more of your listener questions to debate. First off, we pull together some ideas for our dream Coronation Street convention. If money were no issue, what sort of things would we organise to make the uptime Corrie fan weekend? Then, we turn to the ever-topical subject of issues-based storylines. What makes an issue story land without feeling preachy - or like it’s chasing awards - and which past Corrie storylines do we think have got it just right? Join us as we share our ideas, and as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on both topics too!

Conversation Street Episode 724
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about all the Corrie drama between the 16th and the 20th March (Episodes #11,814 - 11,818). And what a week it was! Like many Corrie fans, we were pretty sceptical of the grooming plot line when it first kicked off last November - did the new family at the helm of the Rovers really need something as grubby and controversial as this as their establishing story? This week, however, when Sam finally confessed his suspicions, when Daniel discovered that Megan was pregnant - and likely with Will's baby - and when the Battersby sisters and the Driscolls united to bring her down... quite frankly, we were gripped from start to finish! Not that it's finished yet, of course - April 23rd is still over a month away... Elsewhere on the Street, Mal finally woke up and definitely seemed like he knew more than he was letting on to Kit about his attack, Adam's refusal to drop Jackie as a client led to the company's emails being leaked, and Theo continued to try and worm his way back into Todd's life - could next week's planned wedding still go ahead? In a brief Kabin segment, we take a look at who from Corrie has been nominated in this year's TRIC Awards and round things off with more of your listener feedback. Samantha Failsworth Character Profile
Now here's a character who we never thought we'd hear mention of on Corrie again, but when Samantha Failsworth's name was dropped as an apparent attendee at Jim McDonald's funeral recently, we just had to take the opportunity to put together a character profile! First appearing on the Street in 1996, Samantha turned many a guy's head during her two-year tenure on the show. Beneath that confident exterior, though, were some secrets about her past just waiting to be uncovered - including the fact that she was on the run from a marriage that lasted only two days! In this episode of the podcast, we look back on her most memorable moments and share some fascinating trivia about her casting courtesy of some old issues of the official Corrie magazine.

Conversation Street Episode 723
On this week's show, we talk about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 9th and the 13th March (Episodes #11,809 - 11,813) After weeks of speculation and theorising (and one heck of a lot of dramatic facial expressions from Maggie), the truth about Jim's secret affair - and, presumably, Ben's parentage - came to light this week. Although we're not so keen on yet another revision to a long-established character's back story, we can't deny loving the drama, and the interweaving of Ben's heart condition with Jim's own medical issues was cleverly done. Elsewhere on the street, Theo called time on his relationship with Todd - but do any of us really expect it to last? Also this week, tensions between Sam and Megan ramp up, Amy has a disastrous date with Ollie, and there's much ado about a doo-doo when Jodie engages in foul play with Adam. Up next on the podcast it's The Kabin, where we weigh in on recent rumours of pay cuts for cast members in the light of episode number reductions, and we round off the the show with more of your feedback. Corrie's Most Memorable Funerals
In this week's bonus podcast, we chat about one of Corrie's most enduring traditions – the Weatherfield funeral. There've been far too many over the years for us to cover them all, so here we’re looking back at some of the most memorable, important and notorious send-offs that Coronation Street has ever given its residents. From the more solemn, atmospheric funerals of the show’s early days to the more dramatic services where secrets spill out and punches are thrown, we explore just how the cobbles have said goodbye to their own across the decades. And of course, because this is Corrie, there's also time to reminisce about some of the more awkward and unexpectedly funny funeral moments too!

Conversation Street Episode 722
This podcast covers the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 2nd and the 5th March (Episodes #11,805 - 11,808). We're feeling pretty smug this week as one of our predictions for 2026 has already come true: the arrival of Mandy's baby at the Connor-Swain residence! And colour us surprised: we actually really enjoyed the scenes too! Could Carla and Lisa actually be in for that rare thing in soaps - a bit of happiness? (Or at least before that dead body puts a dampener on their wedding day...) Bad news for fans of Jim McDonald, though, the big man himself has said cheerio now for the final time and gone to that big pub in the sky, so he has - and we seem tantalisingly close to discovering whether that theorised link between him and Maggie is true too... Also this week, baby Harper goes under the knife, Lou gets beaten up in prison and Todd struggles to buy Theo a birthday present. Another news-light week this week, so we skip over The Kabin segment and finish things off with more of your listener feedback. Street Talk - 00:13:15 Feedback - 02:22:31

Dee-Dee Bailey Character Profile
This week’s bonus podcast is a character profile of Dee-Dee Bailey, the hotshot solicitor who burst onto the cobbles in 2022 after being teased for nearly three years! In our opinion, she was well worth the wait, and in this episode we take a look back at her time on the Street - from her biggest storylines to our favourite moments along the way. We also chat about how Dee-Dee helped breathe new life into the Bailey family and quickly established herself as one of Corrie’s most compelling new characters of the decade. From supporting Paul through his MND diagnosis to uncovering the dark secrets of her dodgy boyfriend Joel, Dee-Dee’s time in Weatherfield was never short on drama. Join us as we celebrate the organised chaos, big heart and sharp mind that made her such a memorable presence on the cobbles.

Conversation Street Episode 721
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 23rd and the 27th February (Episodes #11,800 - 11,804). This week on the cobbles, the Mal storyline kicked up a gear as Bernie’s unwanted admirer crossed the line from irritating nuisance to full-on physcho stalker – only to end up in intensive care after a brutal attack by an unknown assailant. In true Weatherfield fashion, Bernie is wrongfully arrested, though it's soon revealed that that it was Kit who bonked him on the head. With a tenacious colleague sniffing around the case, could DC Green’s career now be hanging in the balance? Elsewhere on the street, a little more of Jodie's mysterious past comes to light when a young girl who she seemingly nannied for once show up to meet her - plus we see another item added to her secret box of trinkets... Meanwhile, Steve learns that his dad has been taken into hospital, George worries that a string of blunders at the undertaker’s could damage the business’s reputation, and the spark between Ollie and Lauren is swiftly extinguished following an intervention from Maggie. Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, and we weigh in on some candid comments from Maureen Lipman and Sally Ann Matthews about the state of the show at the moment, all of which is pretty timely in the wake of Iain MacLeod's interview last week! We round off the show with more of your feedback. Street Talk - 00:13:44 The Kabin - 02:38:44 Feedback - 03:00:46

Court On Camera!
We recently headed up north for another Corrie location hunt, ticking off several spots that were completely new to us. First up was The Saddleworth Hotel, seen earlier this year as the setting for Debbie’s ill-fated wedding, followed by a visit to Bolton’s Old Magistrates’ Court – a familiar backdrop for some of Coronation Street’s most explosive trials in recent years. While we were there, we also caught three former Coronation Street stars on stage at the Octagon Theatre, explored the latest additions to the MediaCity tour, and tracked down a couple of other locations that have popped up in smaller scenes over the years. It was a whirlwind trip full of cobbles-related goodness, and in this episode we share all the highlights - the sights, the surprises and, of course, plenty of Corrie chat along the way! Conversation Street Episode 720
On our latest episode of the podcast, we chat about the goings on in Weatherfield between the 16th and the 20th February (Episodes #11,795 - 11,800). This week saw the much anticipated flash-forward episode of Corrie, which gave us a sneak peek into the future and Betsy's discovery of a dead body. Exactly who is the victim, though, and who could be responsible for causing their untimely demise? Also this week, Carl reveals to Ronnie the truth about his newly discovered relationship with Debbie, and we learn about his plans to burn down the hotel for the insurance money too - will Debbie realise what he’s really capable of before it’s too late? Elsewhere on the cobbles, Sam turns amateur detective in a bid to catch Megan and Will out, Lily starts her paper round at The Kabin, and Maggie grows uneasy over Ben’s budding friendship with Steve. Could we be about to learn exactly what she found in Ken’s cupboard? After Street Talk, we take quite a lengthy visit to The Kabin as we've got a fair bit to say about some recent news items. First, we react to the news that The British Soap Awards have once again been cancelled, and that's followed by our thoughts on Iain Macleod's recent appearance on the This Is Media City podcast, in which he previews some upcoming production changes to the show that it seems a lot of fans really aren't happy about... 16th February Episode - Our Immediate Reaction!
Corrie certainly started this week with a bang, and it's one of those episodes where we wanted to get our reaction to it out there straight away! So as long as you've seen it too (and you really, really should be before you listen to this!), here are our immediate thoughts about the episode and what we think it might mean for the next few months on the cobbles!

Conversation Street Episode 719
On our latest podcast, we discuss the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 9th and the 13th February (Episodes #11,790 - 11,794) This week, we meet Jodie and Shona's dad, Doug, though he's confined to his bed and certainly not in a good state of mind - though he's still lucid enough to know his youngest daughter's a wrong 'un. We're loving the mystery around this family, and Jodie's curious box of knickknacks has us wondering all sorts about what she's been up to! Also this week, Sam gets in touch with the Weatherfield drugs wizard when he hears that Ritalin can be used as a study aid - but is this a little too out of character for him? Also this week, Theo returns from his mum's, Mal proves himself to a a definite stalkery weirdo, and Debbie is assigned a prison buddy - and it's someone we were very happy to see again! As much as we wanted to carry on with the podcast after this and discuss the cancellation of the BSAs, unfortunately Michael wasn't feeling too well at all, so we called it a day after Street Talk - so you'll just have to wait a little longer to hear our thoughts on the British Soap Awards' cancellation!

The Bobbins Awards 2025
Who doesn't love a good moan, eh? As much as we adore Corrie, there's always something about the programme that grinds our gears, has us rolling our eyes, and gets us yelling "Bobbins!" at our screen from time to time! The Bobbins Awards are a firm fixture in our podcasting calendar - our annual chance to get a few gripes off our chests and revisit some of the less-than-stellar moments from the past year. Who had the most rubbish return? Which newcomer do we just want to do one? And who were the mardiest mare and dirtiest dog on the cobbles? Hear us discuss our nominees and pick our winners in the Bobbins Awards 2025!

Conversation Street Episode 718
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 2nd and the 6th February (Episodes #11,787 - 11,789). Thanks to a couple of sporting events on Tuesday and Thursday, this week's helping of Coronation Street was almost as short as Kevin's temper. However, with Wednesday's Webster-focused episode featuring the big reveal to Carl that Debbie is actually his mum, there was still plenty for us to discuss! The pair of us actually had quite different opinions on that episode too, so it was pretty fun debating what did and didn't work for us! Also this week, a rooftop intervention from Abi leaves Kevin with new perspective on life (and Brian with a sore head!), Todd struggles to cope with no food and no money, and Jodie intrigues us with a mysterious box of trinkets... Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, where we discuss some streaming stats from ITVX and get a little overexcited at the prospect of an upcoming Audience With Helen Worth event, then we finish things off with more of your listener feedback. Our 2026 Predictions - Plus Bonus Spoiler Discussion!
The time has finally arrived for our big 2026 prediction episode, and this year, we've made a couple of changes to the usual format. Bucking our usual spoiler-free stance, we've decided to include a discussion of Coronation Street's 2026 preview from last month as part of the episode, but don't worry if you'd rather not listen to that bit - there's a warning before any spoiler chat! So what direction do we think the current storylines will be heading in in the year to come? Who's going to be getting together? Breaking up? Shuffling off this mortal coil? We let you know what our crystal ball has told us about the next eleven months, share what we'd LIKE to happen (even if the chances may be slim!) and catch up on what we predicted for 2025 - and how much of it we got right! Conversation Street Episode 717
On our latest podcast, we take a look at the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 26th and the 30th January 2026 (Episodes #11,782 - 11,786). Definitely a bit of a divisive week, this one, with opinions all over the place online about Billy's funeral and Bernie's subsequent getting off her cake, as she put it. Even the pair of us felt quite differently to each other about how Wednesday's episode went down, with Gemma praising the writing and direction whilst Michael didn't think it quite did enough to honour Billy's time in the show amongst the Carl vs Theo drama. Speaking of which, we chat for quite a bit this week about who we'd prefer to ultimately see come on top there, and how much Theo is actually in control of what he's doing. One thing we both agreed on, though - which seemingly a sizeable chunk of Corrie fans online disagreed with - was that Thursday's Bernie-centric saga was fantastic, plus we were both very chuffed to see Sam back on centre stage on Monday's episode - and think that Megan will prove to be quite a force for him to reckon with! Another fairly news-lite week saw us skipping The Kabin again, so after Street Talk, we head straight to the feedback section for more of your fabulous emails.
