Conversations with the universe - Spirituality, consciousness, worldly wisdoms
by Sylvia Leifheit
In 2002 I had a near-death experience. I was never religious or spiritual, but that moment changed my whole life. I saw what our normal eyes cannot see. I felt the cosmos as you cannot feel it when you are in your body. And that was the impetus for a beautiful journey to myself. I have researched, I have learned, I have tried and I have experienced many exciting things. And, I have begun to train my perception so that I can experience again and again what I experienced in near-death. This approach has become the key to my work, and from it books, podcasts and lectures have emerged. Follow me to yourself.

The basics of being - Final words at the end of the season
What if the moment you feel most powerless is the doorway to your greatest strength? We open up The ABCs of Being with a candid look at the near-death event that sparked a lifelong quest to understand the soul, energy, and the practical steps that help us turn from fear toward power. No mystic fog here—just clear language, lived experience and tools you can use today. We dig into the Wheel of Being, a sweeping yet simple model of movement in the cosmos: nothing stands still, and every soul trends either toward strength, awareness and love or toward loss and collapse. The surprising gift at the bottom is the pivot—when you say no more and your energy turns. From there, small acts stack into change: slow, deliberate reading that reprogrammes attention, a daily practice like the Cosmic Cross to anchor presence, and a steady commitment that refines your inner channel until guidance comes through clean and actionable. You’ll also hear how early messages arrived as symbols and diagrams, why channeling benefits from discipline rather than blind belief, and how later works map the subtle realms in greater detail—from levels of the deceased to the mechanics of soul repair. We don’t dodge tough topics: the damage done when religion becomes power, the short attention span of our age, and the need to choose responsibility over drift. The promise is practical spirituality you can test in your own life: ask better questions, practise consistently, and measure progress by the strength, clarity and compassion you bring to daily choices. If you’re ready to turn, start with one step. Listen, try the practices, and let us know what changes for you. The basics of being - Trinity
What if the densest parts of life are the sharpest mirrors of who we truly are? We open a clear pathway from source to soul to matter and show why the body is not an obstacle to spiritual growth but the most exact instrument for it. Drawing from a near‑death experience and the ideas behind The Basics Of Being, we explore a living vision of balance where movement creates form, form creates experience, and experience calls us home.We start with the nature of source as timeless, boundless energy that births an impulse to know itself. That first movement becomes soul, then condenses through levels into the material world where contrast, limitation and individuality are felt most intensely. Rather than treating separation as failure, we reframe it as a tool for recognition, a necessary tension that reveals what wants to be integrated. The ego’s sense of powerlessness becomes the trigger for return, not through escape but through deep attention to the inner life. From there we work with practical insight: emotions are condensed movements of energy carrying information. Suppression tightens the knot; awareness loosens it. Control reflects separation; presence restores balance. We map the rhythm of growth as waves of clarity and entanglement, showing how acceptance accelerates learning. Responsibility is recast as awareness of power: every thought, feeling and action shapes the field. When impulses are conscious, they carry their own balance and actions flow without inner resistance. If you’re seeking a grounded, embodied way to align with a quiet centre amid constant change, this conversation offers a framework you can feel in your breath, your choices and your relationships. The basics of being - They Key X - Purification
Ready to clear the static and hear your life speak with clarity? We take you into Key X: Purification, the capstone of the Ten Keys, and explore how cleansing the body, mind, and energy field turns distance into true transformation. Drawing on near-death insight and years of practice, we map a simple arc: step back from what binds you, cleanse what remains, forgive from the heart, and choose again with a steady gaze.We ground this big idea in practical tools. Water to soften emotion and rinse residue. Fire to metabolise fear and refine will. Earth to anchor your focus and stabilise change. Air to clear mental fog and widen perspective. You’ll hear why a healthy body is the first home of a clear mind, how to reset your inner filter so guidance comes through clean, and what it looks like to release negative memories without losing the lessons. The result isn’t a spiritual bypass; it’s a solid, felt shift where reactions quiet and choice returns. We also unpack forgiveness as the hinge of transformation. Distance interrupts old loops, but only heart-led forgiveness rewires the channels that keep pain alive. From there, new goals emerge without strain, aligned with natural laws and your own values. Expect a thoughtful mix of metaphysical insight and grounded practice, including rhythms to keep purification ongoing: silence, breath, movement, and simple rituals that mark endings and invite beginnings. If you’re ready to step out of old patterns and walk with a clear view and an open heart, this conversation offers a compass and a clean start. If the ideas resonate, follow the show, share this episode with a friend who’s ready to reset, and leave a review to help others find it. Your reflections shape where we explore next.

The basics of Being - The 9th Key - Letting Go
What if the final step before real growth isn’t adding more, but releasing what no longer serves? We open with a personal awakening after a near‑death experience and trace how that shift revealed letting go as a precise, learnable key—not weakness, but mastery that transforms stalled energy into motion. Along the way we challenge a common myth: clinging is not love. Love tells the truth, sets boundaries, and makes room for life to breathe. We break the journey into clear stages. First, the foundations: know yourself, stay open, cultivate conscious connection, bring ideas into form, persist through resistance, balance work with joy, and respect how others see the world. With those capacities in place, detachment stops feeling like loss and starts feeling like alignment. We explore material ties—homes, money, contracts—and the subtle knots of promises and expectations. The practical tool is counter‑energy through release: renegotiate, step back, or create physical distance to regain perspective. Distance, used wisely, can be a healing act that restores agency without severing our deeper unity.Your body becomes your most honest guide. Chronic tension, headaches that linger, sudden fatigue after certain calls—these signals map where energy is stuck. Thoughts matter too; unprocessed anger and emptiness have weight. We offer simple, compassionate steps: listen, set one clear boundary, take one small exit, and let your nervous system exhale. From there, trust grows. You’ll sense who supports your expansion and who doesn’t, and acting from the heart becomes simpler and faster. Energy never disappears; it transforms as attention shifts. Release the old and space opens for people, work, and places that match your values. This conversation is both tender and direct: nothing changes until you initiate it. Choose joy over stagnation. Choose truth over comfort. Choose movement—one step, then the next—so your life can widen. If this resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who needs courage today, and leave a review to help more seekers find this work.

The 1x1 of Being - The 8th Key - Love or Control
Two paths thread through every choice we make: one narrows into control and fear, the other opens into connection and courage. After a near-death experience reshaped my perception, I began to notice how clearly this fork reveals itself at home, at work, and in the quiet minutes between. Today we lean into that fork—love versus power—and map what each path creates in real life.We start by defining love as conscious connection rather than sentiment, and power as the ego’s attempt to manage separation. From there, a raw relationship scenario brings the ideas to ground: suspicion blooms, and two routes appear. One partner chooses open-hearted questions, accountability, and repair. The other chooses surveillance, retaliation, and scorekeeping. Along the way, we unpack seven practical keys that hold a loving path together—communication, trust, clear action, consistency, patience, and respect for one another’s inner complexity—so you can test them in your own life and leadership.Zooming out, we challenge the myth that power scales. It doesn’t. Control works only inside small rooms; step beyond and someone always has more leverage. Love, by contrast, scales with awareness. We explore a helpful formula—destiny equals opportunity plus potential times consciousness—and a figure-eight metaphor that links separation and healing into a complete flow. The takeaway is uncomplicated and brave: there is no half love. Choose clearly, act consistently, and let connection lead even when fear asks for calculations. If this conversation sparked something, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage today, and leave a review to help others find it. Then join us on SPINE to keep the practice alive with people who care about living from the heart.

The basics of Being - The 7th Key - Tolerance and Acceptance
What if wisdom begins the moment you stop asking life to pay you back? We open the door to the Seventh Key—tolerance and acceptance—and trace how a near-death experience reshaped our view of giving, respect, and the quiet power of resonance. Rather than measuring worth by applause or speed, we look at how action from the heart moves through the world on its own time, gathering the right people and possibilities without pressure. We talk about the myth that every act must be balanced by immediate return, and why balance is a cosmic law we live within, not a spreadsheet we manage. That shift frees us from the weight of calculation. From there, we move into the practice of non-judgement: honouring different histories, goals, and paces without elevating ourselves. Respect becomes both compass and boundary—an ethic that helps us choose relationships where dignity is mutual and freedom can breathe. Expect less, notice more: that is how alignment replaces frustration.A simple forest clearing becomes our shared metaphor for acceptance. Conifers, saplings, shrubs, and grass each express the same source through different forms. No one demands that grass become a pine, and no pine resents grass for being low and light. When we respond to what is, rather than to what we wish were true, our choices grow cleaner, kinder, and more effective. Every impulse resonates, sometimes here, sometimes elsewhere, which makes attention a responsibility, not a burden. If you’re ready to trade scorekeeping for presence, and judgement for wise response, this conversation offers calm, practical footing on the path of consciousness and spiritual growth. If this landed with you, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a review. Your reflections help the right people find us and deepen the resonance we’re building together.

The basics of being - god
The universe operates through an all-pervading source energy that connects all existence, and we humans have personified this energy as "God" to better understand it. We are not separate from this divine source but are expressions of it, with the power to create our own destiny when we recognize the divine consciousness within ourselves.• After a near-death experience, my perception of human existence changed profoundly• The source is the highest, strongest energy that exists—what many call God• Humans personify universal laws to understand them better• We often transfer responsibility to God instead of accepting our creative power• You never call upon a being, but the consciousness of a certain energy unit• You can reach all frequency ranges through your chakras• You are the helmsman of your destiny in every moment of your life• You are divine because you are eternally connected to the sourceJoin our community SPINE (Spiritual Network) to connect with healers, find inspiration, and expand your consciousness.

The basics of being - faith
Have you ever felt divided within yourself—as if your physical existence and spiritual nature were somehow at odds? This fundamental separation creates the void so many of us try to fill through external belief systems, never realizing the answers lie within. The animal nature in each of us desperately seeks spiritual awakening, while our divine essence craves experience through the physical form. When these aspects become disconnected, both begin wandering through life with increasing desperation. This desperation eventually manifests as complex belief patterns and religious systems designed to fill our emptiness with explanations rather than wisdom. But these systems, rather than healing our division, often deepen it—creating power structures that maintain control by keeping us unconscious of our true divine nature.Religious institutions throughout history have recognized their authority depends on preventing followers from discovering their innate spiritual capabilities. By transforming natural phenomena into miracles and positioning themselves as intermediaries between humanity and God, they effectively block direct spiritual experience. Fear becomes the primary tool of control, closing the very spiritual gateways these institutions claim to open. Perhaps most tellingly, many religions actively suppress the body and its wisdom, treating physical existence as something to be transcended rather than embraced as our essential spiritual instrument.Your physical form is not separate from your spirituality—it's the very channel through which you can experience divine knowledge. Your body carries within itself all the answers you seek in churches, temples, and pilgrimages. The heart serves as your gateway to connecting with spiritual realms, offering everything you need if only you would look within rather than without. Join our Spine community as we explore the wisdom that emerges when we honor both the animal and divine within us, reconnecting what should never have been divided.

The basics of being – intention/purpose
What happens when a near-death experience fundamentally alters your perception of reality? In this deeply insightful episode of Conversations with the Universe, I share how my brush with death heightened my senses and transformed my understanding of human existence on Earth. At the heart of this exploration lies a profound truth: consciousness is malleable, shapeable, and can become our most powerful tool. Just as Einstein discovered that focused attention on one phenomenon reveals thousands more, our consciousness expands through deliberate practice. I offer a compelling metaphor—examining a rock with increasingly sophisticated microscopes—to demonstrate how perception, rather than reality itself, transforms through different tools of awareness. The most revolutionary insight may be this: your inner attitude creates the illusion of the external world, not vice versa. By changing your perception, your experiences transform while the cosmos remains unchanged. This understanding initiates a beautiful journey of self-discovery, where focusing on one aspect of reality brings you to thresholds requiring openness, providing new perceptual tools that develop with attention. Like training a muscle, your consciousness grows stronger and more flexible, allowing you to ascend to higher energy levels and live in greater harmony with the flow of being. Join our Spine community—a global spiritual network connecting seekers with healers, knowledge, and practices to expand consciousness and give life new meaning.

The basics of being - Happiness
What happens when we transform our perception of life? Can happiness truly be created from within? Following my near-death experience, I discovered profound truths about human existence that fundamentally altered how I perceive our reality and purpose. The dual nature of happiness reveals itself when we look deeply - it exists both as external circumstances and as an internal state completely dependent on our perception. Most humans live in a self-created illusion of separation, forgetting their connection to the universal whole. This separation becomes the very obstacle preventing authentic happiness. The heart serves as our gateway back to wholeness, allowing energy to flow freely and transform our consciousness.Consider the man who had everything yet experienced nothing but dissatisfaction. Despite material abundance, freedom, health, and loving relationships, his perception transformed every blessing into a burden. His city became "horrible," his job "terrible," his possessions quickly "boring." This wasn't reality but his chosen perception. The beauty of this realization? We can choose differently. Opening our eyes to the abundance already present requires no external change - only an internal shift in how we see. What appears as "luck" - being in the right place at the right time - emerges from the interplay between your openness, trust, dedication, and the cosmic laws governing existence. The law of resonance ensures that others respond to the energy you project, creating connections that manifest as opportunities. None of these external forces can affect you without an open heart, nor can your internal impulses influence the world without this same openness.Ready to transform your perception and reclaim your power as the creator of your experience? Join our SPINE community - the Spiritual Network connecting seekers and providers of holistic knowledge worldwide. Together, we'll explore the path to authentic happiness that begins with opening your heart to the abundance already within you.

The basics of being - accuracy
Accuracy stands as one of life's most powerful yet overlooked tools. After my near-death experience altered my perception of human existence, I discovered how precision functions as both gateway and guardian on our spiritual journey. The concept of accuracy extends far beyond mere correctness—it represents alignment with your deepest truth. Where fear and uncertainty dominate, particularly in relationships, precision becomes essential. Many walk through life in a fog of inaccuracy, completing degrees half-heartedly or making commitments without clarity, only to face inevitable crossroads: either growing accustomed to internal disconnection (often manifesting as illness) or realizing their authentic path too late, lamenting precious time lost.Yet accuracy carries its own dangers. While precision guides us purposefully and efficiently toward success, it can frighten those not ready for clarity. Some prefer comfortable illusions to stark truths. When you demand accuracy from such individuals, their carefully constructed worldviews might collapse, triggering resistance and conflict. True precision requires immense sensitivity—being exact in your intentions while remaining aware of others' readiness for such clarity. The mastery of accuracy lies in balance. On one end sits harmful imprecision—rushing through important matters without proper attention. On the other lurks excessive perfectionism—lingering so long on details that momentum dies. The sweet spot exists precisely between these extremes: being meticulously precise while still flowing with life's current, knowing when to focus narrowly and when to surrender to broader movements. This dance between precision and flow represents one of life's most profound practices.Join me in exploring how accuracy can transform your communication, decisions, and relationships. Connect with our Spine community—a global spiritual network where seekers and providers create meaningful connections that expand consciousness and foster authentic living. Remember: you are the creator of your experience, and balanced precision serves as one of your most powerful creative tools.
