The draw for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup was conducted Tuesday night, as Cavalry FC and Forge FC learned their first-round opponents for this year's competition. The CPL's Charlie O'Connor-Clarke and Mitchell Tierney were live on YouTube shortly after the draw, as they reacted to the news that Cavalry will take on Pumas UNAM, while Forge play CF Monterrey in a pair of CPL-versus-Liga MX battles. They were also joined live by Cavalry FC coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. and Forge FC coach Bobby Smyrniotis, who provided their thoughts on the draw, how their squad construction is coming along ahead of the Concacaf campaigns, and what it means to be playing at the highest level.
