    What Prevents You? (Acts 8:26-40)

Have you ever wondered if you really belong? Not just at church, but with God? Most of us carry a private version of that question. And most of us have never asked it out loud.Acts 8:26-40 tells the story of an Ethiopian official on his way home from Jerusalem. He traveled two months to worship at a temple he was not permitted to fully enter. He is reading a passage about rejection. And then a man named Philip shows up, running. What happens next answers the question the official was almost certainly afraid to ask: is there a place for me?In this message from our Scattered and Sent series (Acts 8-12), we look at what a strange detour, a chariot conversation, and an impromptu roadside baptism reveal about who the gospel is actually for. The answer is more open than most of us expect, and more demanding than some of us would like. The point: Repentance is the only barrier to entrance.Creekside Community Church meets in Elizabeth, Colorado. We are a congregation of people trying to follow Jesus together in the middle of ordinary life. You can connect with us at www.creekside.cc

More Spirit, More Problems? (Acts 8:1-25)

What if more of the Holy Spirit does not simply mean more comfort for us, but more mercy, mission, and surrender through us?In Acts 8:1-25, persecution scatters the early church out of Jerusalem and into Samaria, a place filled with old wounds, suspicion, and division. But what looks like a setback becomes part of Jesus’s mission as Philip proclaims Christ, Samaritans receive the gospel, and the apostles begin to see that the Spirit is forming one family out of former enemies. This message explores how the Spirit’s ministry to us is meant to become the Spirit’s ministry through us. More of the Spirit means more mercy toward people we might exclude, more ministry for the good of others, and more surrender to God rather than more control for ourselves.Join us as we worship together and begin our Scattered & Sent series through Acts 8–12.For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

The Ache Beneath the Pain (Spirituality for the Curious - part 3)

This week at Creekside Community Church, we conclude our series Spirituality for the Curious with a message about pain, grief, and the deeper questions they force us to ask. Suffering is something every person faces, but it does more than interrupt life. It often awakens our longing for something better, exposes how broken this world really is, and raises questions about meaning, hope, and whether pain will ever finally end.In this message, we will look at what Christianity says about suffering and why Jesus becomes especially compelling in the middle of it. The Bible does not ask us to pretend pain is small or meaningless. Instead, it shows us a God who entered our suffering in Jesus, meets us in our grief, and promises a day when sorrow, death, and loss will be no more.Whether you are skeptical, spiritually curious, grieving, or simply carrying pain you have never fully understood, you are welcome here. This message is an invitation to consider whether the ache beneath our pain might actually be pointing us toward God.For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

The Unseen World (Spirituality for the Curious - part 2)

This week at Creekside Community Church, we continue our series Spirituality for the Curious with a message called The Unseen World. Many people today sense that there is more to reality than the physical world we can see, but that raises an important question: what do we do with that spiritual openness? In this message, we explore the difference between counterfeit spirituality that reaches for power, knowledge, or control apart from God, and true spirituality that leads us into surrender, trust, prayer, and communion with Jesus. If you have ever wondered whether the spiritual world is real, why practices like astrology, tarot, or mediumship feel compelling, or why Jesus still matters in a spiritually curious culture, this message is for you. We will look at what Scripture says about the unseen realm, the danger of spiritual deception, and the real authority and freedom found in Christ. Whether you are skeptical, seeking, or simply asking honest questions, we are glad you are here. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

If These Skies Had Lips (Spirituality for the Curious - part 1)

This week at Creekside Community Church, we begin a new series called Spirituality for the Curious. If you have ever felt like there is something more to this world, this message is for you. Together we will explore how the beauty, abundance, and order of creation may be pointing beyond themselves to the reality and character of God.Whether you are skeptical, seeking, spiritually open, or simply asking honest questions, you are welcome here. This message starts with shared human experience and invites us to consider whether the world around us is giving clues not just that God exists, but what He is like. Join us as we look at Scripture and consider how the gift of creation can lead us to the Giver. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

Behold the Risen King (Easter 2026)

This Easter Sunday, we invite you to behold the risen King. In Matthew 27:62–28:20, we see that the resurrection is not a vague religious symbol or a private spiritual experience, but God’s decisive act in real history. If the tomb is occupied, hope is a hollow promise. If the tomb is empty, hope is bedrock reality. In this message, we will explore how the resurrection publicly vindicates Jesus and proves that he was right about who he is, the kingdom he announced, and the hope he offers. That means Christian hope is not wishful thinking for desperate people, but something sturdy enough for the world as it really is. Because Jesus is alive, darkness does not have the final say in this world, and it does not have to have the final say in your life. And Matthew’s resurrection story ends with a deeply encouraging note: the risen Jesus sends disciples who worship him, though some doubted. Easter hope is not only for people with flawless certainty, but for ordinary people who know enough to trust the risen King. Join us as we celebrate the historical reality, the living hope, and the world-changing authority of Jesus Christ. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Palm Branches & False Hopes

This Palm Sunday, we begin our Holy Week series, Behold the King, by looking at Matthew 21:1–17 and the surprising kind of King Jesus truly is. The crowds welcomed him with palm branches and celebration, but many of them were hoping for a king who would serve their agenda, secure their comfort, and fight for their side. Instead, Jesus entered Jerusalem with a deeper mission: to confront what was broken, cleanse what was corrupted, and make room for healing. In this message, Palm Branches and False Hopes, we will explore the difference between the king people wanted and the King they actually received. We will see how easy it is to welcome a version of Jesus that fits comfortably inside our existing beliefs and priorities, while resisting the real Jesus who calls for our allegiance. If you have ever wondered whether Jesus came simply to support your plans or to lovingly lead you into something far better, this message is for you.Join us as we behold the King who may not always meet our expectations, but is exactly the King we need. And as Holy Week begins, we will remember that the story does not end with palm branches and praise. It leads to the cross, where Jesus lays down his life even for those who misunderstood him, and to the empty tomb, where hope rises again. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Time To Grow Up

Welcome to Creekside Community Church.Whether you are joining from home, traveling, or watching later, we are glad you are here. Many people start their faith journey with excitement but eventually find themselves feeling stuck. We know the basics of the Christian life, yet growth can slow down. In this message, Time to Grow Up, we look at what the Bible says about spiritual maturity and why God calls believers to keep growing.Using passages from 1 Peter 2:1-3 and Hebrews 5:11–6:3, this sermon explores the difference between spiritual milk and solid food. The basic truths of the gospel are essential, but they are meant to lead us toward deeper understanding, righteous living, and a growing relationship with Christ. Scripture challenges believers not to remain spiritual infants, but to mature in faith so they can discern right from wrong and help others grow as disciples. This message is an invitation to move forward in your faith. Learn the Word. Follow Christ in righteousness. Become the kind of disciple who helps others grow as well.If this service encourages you, consider sharing it with someone who may need the same reminder to keep growing in their faith.Join us live each week for worship, teaching, and encouragement as we pursue Christ together.

    Compounding Generosity

Welcome to Creekside Community Church.Money doesn’t just talk—it shapes our hopes, fears, and priorities. In the final message of our Money Talks series, we look at 2 Corinthians 8–9 and discover how generosity works in God’s kingdom. Scripture shows us that generosity begins with God’s grace, flows through us to bless others, and can even build something that outlives our lifetime.Together we’ll explore how generosity meets real needs, multiplies thanksgiving to God, and becomes part of a legacy that impacts the next generation. If you’ve ever wondered whether your giving really matters, or what it looks like to give when your heart isn’t fully in it yet, this message will help you see generosity through the lens of God’s grace.New here? Pay Yourself Last

How do you balance giving with bills, debt, and savings? In Matthew 25:14–30, Jesus tells the Parable of the Bags of Gold—a master entrusts his servants with significant resources, then returns to settle accounts. The issue isn’t how much they received, but what they did with what was entrusted to them. The big question won’t be, “What did you do with your money?” but “What did you do with His money?”Today’s message includes three practical steps for faithful stewardship:Face it so you can be faithful: Get honest and accurate about what comes in and what goes out. A budget is a plan—on purpose.Order your money by the Owner’s priorities: Give first, save second, and live on the rest.Remember the goal: God entrusts resources so we can do good—loving our neighbors in practical, tangible ways (Matt. 25:31–46).If you’re new with us, we’re glad you’re here. Never Enough

Welcome to Creekside Community Church. Today we’re kicking off our Money Talks series with a message called Never Enough. Most of us don’t struggle because we have too little information about finances. We struggle because our hearts keep moving the finish line. When will more be enough? In 1 Timothy 6:6–10, God gives us a better path: contentment that leads to real joy and freedom, and a warning about the pain that comes from loving money. We’ll also draw from Hebrews 13:5 to see where true security is found. If you’re tired of feeling stressed, stuck, or never satisfied, this message is for you. Join us as we learn how to cultivate contentment, fight greed, and take practical steps toward a life that’s free and generous.New here? Where Love Draws the Line (2 Thessalonians 3:6-18)

Welcome to Creekside Community Church. In today’s message, Where Love Draws the Line (2 Thessalonians 3:6–18), we’re exploring a question every church eventually faces: when do we help, and when do we hold the line?Paul addresses a painful but necessary topic: what to do when someone in the church family refuses responsibility and becomes disruptive? This passage shows us how love doesn’t ignore what harms the body, but also refuses to treat people like enemies. Instead, Paul calls the church to pursue peace, protect fellowship, and use loving boundaries for the purpose of restoration. If you’ve ever felt the tension between compassion and accountability, or wondered how a church can stay healthy without becoming harsh, this message will give you a biblical framework and a hopeful vision. Our prayer is that God would form us into a church family so meaningful, so loving, and so safe that belonging truly matters—and worth protecting.New here? We’d love to connect with you. Second-Half Faith (2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:5)

If you feel spiritually tired or shaky right now, what would God say to you in a “halftime speech”? In 2 Thessalonians 2:13–3:5, Paul reminds a stressed-out church to get back to the fundamentals: anchor your heart in the objective good news of what Jesus has done, hold tightly to what you’ve received in Scripture, and keep your hands busy with God’s work as the mission moves forward. This service includes worship, preaching, and the Lord’s Supper as we re-center on grace, stand firm, and ask God to direct our hearts into his love and Christ’s endurance. Thanks for joining Creekside Community Church online. Don't Panic (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)

In a world full of spiritual noise, confusing voices, and end-times speculation, it’s easy to feel shaken or even panicked. In 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12, Paul brings the church back to what matters most: don’t be alarmed, don’t chase the counterfeit, and don’t miss the real danger—being deceived because we prefer a lie over the truth. This Sunday we’ll see how Jesus steadies his people, how deception works, and how to grow into the kind of person who loves the light.Join us live for worship, prayer, and God’s Word—and come asking this: If figuring out the identity of the antichrist isn’t the point, what is?For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

The Comfort of Judgment (2 Thessalonians 1:1-12)

When you hear “God will judge,” do you feel relief… or dread? In 2 Thessalonians 1, Paul speaks to a church under pressure and reminds them that their suffering isn’t the end of the story—Jesus is coming back to set things right. In today’s message, “The Comfort of Judgment,” we’ll see how God grows faith and love in hard seasons, why Jesus’ return is meant to steady us (not scare us), and how God supplies the power for faithful obedience as we wait.Join us live and come ready to be encouraged with real hope. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    The Word in the Word

We often approach the Bible looking for lessons to apply or principles to follow—but what if that approach causes us to miss the main point? In this message, we explore Jesus’s own teaching on Scripture and discover that the Bible, properly understood, is a unified story that ultimately points to Him. Drawing from passages like Luke 24, John 5, and John 15, we see how it’s possible to know the text well and still miss the Person it reveals. This service invites us to shift from reading the Bible moralistically to reading it relationally—from hunting for life lessons to learning to see Jesus on every page. You’ll be equipped with practical questions and tools to help you read Scripture with Christ as the focus, allowing God’s Word to draw you into deeper relationship with the living Word. Whether you’re new to the Bible or have read it for years, this message offers a fresh and life-giving way to engage Scripture as it was meant to be read.Access the Scripture reading plan here: https://www.creekside.cc/daily-in-the-word-reading-planScripture Study Resources:https://bibleproject.com/https://www.blueletterbible.org/https://www.youtube.com/mikewingerReliability of the Bible Resources:https://www.wesleyhuff.com/can-i-trust-the-biblehttps://www.reasonablefaith.org/media/reasonable-faith-podcastFor more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Big Buts about the Bible

Many people want to read the Bible—but struggle with doubts, confusion, or dry seasons that make it hard to stay engaged. Is Scripture really reliable? Why does it feel difficult to understand at times? And what if reading it doesn’t stir our emotions the way we expect? In this message from our Daily in the Word series, we address the honest “buts” people carry about the Bible and explore why Scripture is still worth staying with. Drawing from James, Peter, Luke, and the life of Jesus Himself, we discover that God uses His Word over time—not always easily, but faithfully—to reveal Jesus and shape who we are becoming. This message isn’t about pressure, guilt, or having all the answers. It’s an invitation to keep engaging Scripture with confidence, even when it feels challenging, trusting that God is at work beneath the surface. Whether you’re skeptical, curious, or simply discouraged, this message offers clarity, encouragement, and a practical next step for staying rooted in God’s Word.Access the Scripture reading plan here: https://www.creekside.cc/daily-in-the-word-reading-planScripture Study Resources:https://bibleproject.com/https://www.blueletterbible.org/https://www.youtube.com/mikewingerReliability of the Bible Resources:https://www.wesleyhuff.com/can-i-trust-the-biblehttps://www.reasonablefaith.org/media/reasonable-faith-podcastFor more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Daily in the Word

We’re all being shaped every day—by what we watch, read, scroll, and listen to. The real question isn’t if we’re being formed, but by what. In this message, we explore how Scripture functions as God’s primary tool for shaping and reshaping our lives over time. Drawing from 2 Timothy 3:14–17, we’re reminded that the Bible isn’t something we outgrow or graduate from, but a lifelong source of training for our minds, hearts, and actions. This message invites us to move from being formed by default to being formed on purpose, and to begin (or renew) a simple, sustainable habit of engaging Scripture regularly—not perfectly, but faithfully. Whether you’re consistent, inconsistent, or just starting again, this message offers clarity, hope, and a practical next step.Access the Scripture reading plan here: https://www.creekside.cc/daily-in-the-word-reading-planFor more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Growing Together

God never designed the Christian life to be lived alone. In this service, we explore the relational heart of God’s Kingdom and why following Jesus has always been a shared journey, not a solo one. Through Scripture, practical insight, and honest reflection, we’ll see how God uses relationships—being known, bearing burdens, and growing together—to form us into mature disciples of Jesus.Whether you feel deeply connected or quietly distant, this message invites you to consider your next step toward meaningful community. We’ll also share how Connection Groups at Creekside create space for real relationships, spiritual growth, and shared life beyond Sunday mornings.Join us as we lean into God’s design for the church: growing together, becoming more like Jesus, and learning to love one another the way He first loved us.For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Risky Integrity - Ruth 3

This Advent, we’re looking at how God works through the quiet, courageous faithfulness of ordinary people. In Ruth 3, we step onto the threshing floor and watch a risky act of integrity open the door for redemption—not through dramatic miracles, but through selfless care, wise restraint, and sacrificial love.Together we’ll explore how God often answers desperate prayers through everyday obedience, and how this ancient story points us toward the hope fulfilled in the birth of Christ. Providential Partnership - Ruth 2

In a world where many of us feel stuck waiting for God to act, Ruth 2 shows us what it looks like to take faithful steps even when the path ahead is unclear. In this message, we explore how Ruth moves into the ordinary with courage, how Boaz moves toward others with compassion, and how both reveal a God who weaves His providence through everyday obedience. We’ll consider the question: If God opened a door today, would He find you ready—or still sitting? Through Scripture, worship, and reflection, this advent service invites you to see how God’s quiet work often meets us when we move our feet and offer our hands. The Bitterness of Loss - Ruth 1

Life doesn’t always feel fair—and sometimes it feels like God is the one to blame. In Ruth chapter 1, we meet Naomi in the middle of heartbreaking loss, convinced that God has turned against her. But behind the bitterness, God is quietly arranging the first threads of redemption through an unexpected friend and a seemingly ordinary harvest. In this message, we explore how grief can distort our view of God, how honest lament still belongs in a life of faith, and how God often works through the quiet, overlooked moments we take for granted. If you’ve ever wondered where God is when life falls apart, this message will help you see Him in places you might have missed.Join us as we begin our Advent journey through the book of Ruth—discovering hope in the ordinary, grace in the grief, and the God who never stops working behind the scenes. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Blind Spots (Think Twice #2)

When life gives you tough choices, it’s easy to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or alone. The truth is, we all have blind spots—places we can’t see clearly without the help of wise, godly people around us. This week, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about seeking counsel, widening our options, and counting the real cost before we choose.Join us as we look at the wisdom of Proverbs, the pitfalls of Rehoboam, the clarity Jesus gives in Luke 14, and the life-saving insight Abigail once offered David. Beautiful, Deadly Roads (Think Twice #1)

Every decision points your life in a direction—and not every road that looks good leads somewhere good. This Sunday, Pastor Luke explores how the Bible teaches us to look beyond what feels right in the moment and consider where our choices are taking us.From Esau’s impulsive trade to Moses’s final warning to Jesus’s clarity of mission, we’ll see how wise decisions come from knowing our destination before we choose our direction. The Big Idea: The better you know your destination, the easier it is to choose the right direction.Take time this week to pray and reflect: Who is God calling me to become? Because when you know who you’re becoming, it’s easier to see which path leads there.Join us for worship, community, and biblical teaching that will help you live with wisdom, not regret. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Rejected Deliverers (Acts 7:1-60)

We all want to believe that faithfulness leads to success—but what happens when obedience brings rejection instead? In the final message of our Tale of Two Temples series, we look at Stephen’s powerful defense in Acts 7, where he reminds us that God’s plans don’t fail just because His people are opposed. From Joseph to Moses to Jesus, the story has always been the same: rejection can’t stop redemption, and God’s presence isn’t confined to any place—it’s alive in His people.Join us as we explore what it means to worship a God who is unconfined, unstoppable, and present in every circumstance. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Spirit-led Systems (Acts 6:1-7:1)

In this week’s message from Acts 6, Pastor Luke explores how the early church navigated growing pains—and what it teaches us about the connection between structure and the Spirit. When complaints arose and needs were overlooked, the apostles didn’t cling to control; they empowered others. The result? More people cared for, more people serving, and more people coming to faith.Discover how the right structure doesn’t restrict the Spirit’s work—it releases it. Unstoppable Witness (Acts 5:17-42)

When the apostles were thrown in prison for preaching about Jesus, an angel set them free—and told them to go right back and keep preaching. Even under threat of death, they obeyed God rather than men, proving that His mission cannot be stopped. Gamaliel’s warning rings true two thousand years later: what is from God will not fail.In this message, Pastor Luke Heirendt unpacks Acts 5:17–42 and the story of an unstoppable gospel that advances through obedient, Spirit-filled people. Discover why joy in suffering isn’t foolish—it’s the mark of those who know Jesus is worth it.Watch this message to: - See why God’s call sometimes leads us into danger, not away from it - Learn what Gamaliel’s wisdom still teaches us about God’s sovereignty - Find courage to keep speaking when silence would be easier - Be reminded that you can’t participate in God’s movement by standing stillSubscribe for weekly messages from Creekside Community Church and join us in helping people take their next step with Jesus. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    Purity & Generosity (Acts 4:32-5:16)

When the early church was filled with the Spirit, generosity overflowed and God’s presence was unmistakable. But then came a shocking moment—two believers who lied about their offering and fell dead on the spot. What are we supposed to do with a story like that? In this week’s message, we’ll explore how God’s holiness and love meet in the life of His people—and why the Spirit of truth won’t dwell where pretense lives. Miraculous Boldness (Acts 3:1-4:32)

Where does boldness come from—and why do some believers find it while others don’t? In Acts 3:1–4:32, Peter and John demonstrate Spirit-empowered courage: healing in Jesus’ name, speaking truth before hostile leaders, and praying for even greater boldness when opposition comes. The same Holy Spirit who filled the first believers still makes ordinary people extraordinarily bold today. Filled & Devoted (Acts 2)

Why did God choose such a strange way to launch his church—with wind, fire, and languages no one expected? In Acts 2, we see that Pentecost was not random but deeply intentional: reversing Babel, fulfilling Sinai, and beginning the great harvest of God’s people. Peter’s message makes it clear—the Spirit’s arrival proves Jesus is risen, exalted, and reigning as Lord and Messiah, and the true evidence of the Spirit is devotion to Jesus. 40: Changing the World the Jesus Way

Have you ever wondered if your life is really making a difference? Deep down, we all want our days to matter—but it’s easy to think impact only comes through big, flashy accomplishments. In this week’s message, Pastor Luke unpacks Jesus’ parable of the mustard seed and shares how God’s kingdom grows in surprisingly ordinary ways. We’ll see that the extraordinary impact we long for doesn’t come from grand gestures, but from everyday faithfulness—planting small seeds of obedience and trusting God to bring the growth. This is the final part of our three-week series Forty. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

40: What am I here for?

Have you ever wondered, “Am I really doing what I was put here to do?” That question shows up in every season of life—from choosing a major, to navigating a career, to considering what to do in retirement. In this week’s message, Pastor Luke explores how the Bible teaches that our primary calling is to follow Jesus. Out of that relationship, God shapes our secondary callings—the jobs, places, and ministries where we live out our discipleship in everyday life. Together, we’ll look at how our passions, the world’s needs, our gifts, and the affirmation of community come together to help us discern where God is at work in us.This is part two of our three-week series Forty. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    40: Looking Back, Leaning Forward

What does turning 40 have to do with faith? In the Bible, the number 40 often marks a season of testing, preparation, or formation. As Pastor Luke steps into his 40th year of life and 20th year of ministry, he pauses to look back on God’s faithfulness and share three key lessons He has been teaching along the way:1. Orthodoxy is better than novelty – Faith must be rebuilt, not just deconstructed.2. People are more important than tasks – Ministry is about caring for people, not just getting things done.3. Love means releasing control – True love holds with open hands. This message is both testimony and encouragement. As you listen, consider: Which of these lessons might God be inviting you to lean into in your own life?Join us for worship, reflection, and celebration as we begin this three-week series. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

    All In On Mission

We all want a life filled with meaning, but our culture teaches that fulfillment comes from what we can get. Jesus offers a radically different vision: true joy and purpose come when we give our lives away in service to others. In this message, we’ll look at what it means to follow the example of Jesus, who came “not to be served, but to serve” (Mark 10:45), and how using the gifts God has given us strengthens the church, advances His mission, and clarifies our own sense of calling.Whether you’re already serving or have never taken that step, you’ll discover why your gifts matter and how they fit into God’s plan for the world. From John 15 and Romans 12, we’ll see that serving isn’t just a duty—it’s a pathway to deeper joy, greater purpose, and real kingdom impact. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore your gifts, discern where God is leading you, and join the mission He’s called us to together.Learn more about Creekside: https://www.creekside.ccJoin a Connection Group: https://www.creekside.cc/groups

    All In Together

Some groups change lives. Others fizzle out or feel like a waste of time. What makes the difference? In All In Together, Pastor Luke reveals the “sweet spot” of a great group—one where you are accepted completely and challenged consistently. We’ll see from Acts 2 and Romans 12 how Jesus designed His people to grow together, not alone, and how you can help your group become truly transformational. If you’ve ever been part of a group that left you wondering, “Was that even worth it?”, this message will show you how to create the kind of community that actually shapes lives.Watch now to discover:- The two qualities every life-changing group must have- Why comfort isn’t the goal—Christlikeness is- How to show up in your group with honesty, clarity, and devotionLearn more about Creekside: https://www.creekside.ccJoin a Connection Group: https://www.creekside.cc/groups

    All In

Life is full of moments where playing it safe is the wise choice—crossing a busy street, making a big investment, or protecting something fragile. But when it comes to your soul, playing it safe might actually be the most dangerous move of all. In this message, we’re asking: What is the Christian life really about? Is it about keeping your options open—or going all in with Jesus? In Romans 12:1–2, the apostle Paul invites us to present our whole selves to God—not just our spiritual lives, but our bodies, decisions, habits, and hearts. He makes it clear: everyone is already being formed by something. The only question is whether we’re being shaped by the world or transformed by Christ. Today, we’ll explore how true transformation begins with surrender, and why betting your life on Jesus is not just bold—it’s the only move that makes sense. In this kickoff to our All In series, discover why half-commitment is never neutral, and how Jesus invites you not into religious performance, but into total, grace-fueled surrender. For more info about our church community, or to connect with us, go to www.creekside.cc

Get This Party Started (Faith for Foodies #10)

What if the story of the world doesn’t end in destruction… but in celebration? In this final message of our Faith for Foodies series, Pastor Luke explores one of the Bible’s most vivid and hopeful promises: the wedding feast of the Lamb and the restoration of all things. We’ll look at how the story that began with a forbidden bite in the Garden ends with a gracious feast in a garden-city—where the Tree of Life reappears, exile ends, and God’s people are fully restored to their purpose and His presence.Main Texts:Revelation 19:6–9Revelation 21:9–22:5Isaiah 25:6–9Genesis 3:22–24In this message, we’ll discover:Why the return to Eden gives us hope that’s neither naive nor cynicalWhat it means to live as a royal priest now, even before the final restorationHow the end of the story transforms the way we live, work, and worship todayWhether you're feeling weary, hopeful, or somewhere in between, this message will remind you that everything sad will come untrue—and that a better feast is coming.

Food Fight (Faith for Foodies #9)

What do you do when Christians disagree on moral or theological issues that aren’t clearly addressed in Scripture? How do we know when something is a matter of freedom—or a matter of faithfulness? In today’s message from Romans 14:1–15:6, we explore one of the most practical and challenging issues facing the early church—and still facing us today: how to love one another when our convictions don’t align. In a church made up of both Jewish and Gentile believers, differing backgrounds led to differing practices—especially around food. Paul helps the Roman church (and us) navigate the tension between liberty and love. This message unpacks how to know when to “agree to disagree,” how to honor God with your conscience, and how to preserve unity when drawing the wrong line could divide the very body of Christ. Join us as we open Scripture, sing together, and pursue Christ-centered peace in a divided world. For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

Barbaric Table Manners (Faith for Foodies #8)

What happens when people from radically different cultures try to follow Jesus together? That’s the challenge the early church faced in Acts 15—and it’s one we still wrestle with today. Some Jewish Christians believed Gentiles had to adopt all their traditions to truly belong. Others, like Paul and Barnabas, insisted that salvation is by grace alone. At the heart of the conflict was this question: how do we build one church family out of people with different customs, values, and backgrounds? In this message, we explore the Jerusalem Council’s surprising decision—and what it means for our church today. You'll discover how the gospel calls us to embrace discomfort, lay down personal preferences, and make space at the table for people who aren’t just like us. Because real unity doesn’t come from sameness—it comes from love. For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

A Fishy Breakfast (Faith for Foodies 7)

Have you ever felt like your failure disqualified you from following Jesus? This week, we look at one of the most personal and powerful moments in the Gospels—when the risen Jesus makes breakfast for His disciples on the beach and restores Peter after his deepest failure. In John 21, Jesus doesn’t just forgive; He re-commissions. He doesn’t compare; He calls. If you’ve ever felt sidelined by your past or tempted to measure your journey against someone else’s, this message is for you.Join us as we discover how grace meets us by the fire—and how Jesus still says, “Follow me.”For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

Party Savior (Faith for Foodies 6)

What do you do when the wine runs out—and you’re about to be humiliated? At a first-century wedding, running out of wine wasn’t just inconvenient—it was a social disaster. But into that crisis, Jesus quietly steps in, works a miracle, and saves the day.In this message, we explore Jesus’s first sign in the Gospel of John—not just a party trick, but a powerful glimpse of who He is and how He works. The God of the universe cares about ordinary people and everyday moments. His kingdom is massive, but it includes your mundane. When you obey—even in the small things—He brings transformation.📖 Scripture: John 2:1–11💡 Series: Faith for FoodiesFor more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

Cooking with Poo (Faith for Foodies 5)

What do you do when someone refuses to change, no matter how many times they've been warned? In Ezekiel 4, God calls the prophet Ezekiel to act out His message through a series of strange and unsettling sign-acts—including cooking food over human waste. These symbolic actions were meant to confront the people of Judah with the reality of the coming siege of Jerusalem, and to show that God’s judgment wasn’t sudden or random—it was the result of generations of ignored warnings and persistent rebellion. But even in judgment, God's heart is on display: He’s patient, not passive, and His warnings are invitations to return before it’s too late.In this message, we’ll explore what these ancient symbols mean for us today, why God’s justice is part of His goodness, and how true repentance leads to restoration. We’ll also see how Ezekiel points us to Jesus, the greater prophet who didn’t just symbolize our judgment—He took it upon Himself. If you’ve ever wondered how God responds to stubborn hearts or what role repentance plays in the life of a believer, this message is for you. Join us as we worship, reflect, and respond to the grace of a God who still speaks through warnings—and still saves through love. For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

Fundamentals for Depression and Despair (Faith for Foodies 4)

What do you do when life overwhelms you—when fear, discouragement, or depression take over? In this message from 1 Kings 19, we look at the prophet Elijah, who went from spiritual victory to emotional collapse in a single chapter. His story shows us that even the most faithful can feel hopeless—and yet, God meets us there with care, provision, and grace.Whether you're walking through your own valley or supporting someone who is, this message will offer biblical wisdom and practical hope. Join us as we rediscover how God wants to use rest, truth, community, and His presence to lift us from despair into healing. For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

Divine BBQ (Faith for Foodies 3)

What do ancient animal sacrifices have to do with following Jesus today? In this message from our “Faith for Foodies” series, we dig into the Old Testament barbecue—specifically, the sacrificial system described in Leviticus and throughout the Old Testament. At first glance, it might look primitive, irrelevant, or even disturbing. But when you take a closer look, the smells of the altar are full of meaning, pointing forward to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We explore how these offerings—especially the burnt offering (Leviticus 1), the fellowship offering (Leviticus 3), and the Day of Atonement rituals (Leviticus 16)—were never about feeding God or earning favor through performance. They were shadows of a better sacrifice to come. As Hebrews 10:1–14 reminds us, the law was only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.Jesus fulfilled the entire sacrificial system by offering Himself once for all (Hebrews 10:10). His death wasn’t just a transaction—it was an invitation. You don’t have to earn your way into God’s presence anymore. The work is finished. The way is open. The table is set. You’re invited. If you’ve ever wondered why the Old Testament talks so much about sacrifice—or if you’ve felt like you need to “do more” to be right with God—this message will lead you to freedom, grace, and a renewed joy in the finished work of Christ.Main Scriptures:Leviticus 1, 3, 16Hebrews 10:1–14Watch now and rediscover how Jesus is the better sacrifice—and why His invitation is better than anything we could earn on our own.For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.

No Leftovers Allowed (Faith for Foodies 2)

Have you ever felt like God was giving you just enough to scrape by—but never quite enough to breathe easy? In this message from our Faith for Foodies series, Pastor Luke walks through the story of manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16) to explore how “just enough” can actually be a sign of God’s faithful presence, not His absence. From daily bread to daily trust, this week’s teaching connects the Old Testament rhythm of dependence with Jesus’s invitation to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). Along the way, we’ll uncover how the bread from heaven was never just about food—it was always about forming hearts that trust.📖 Key Texts:Exodus 16:1–20Deuteronomy 8:3Matthew 6:11John 6:48–51Worship, Communion, and a practical invitation to pray with faith in God’s enough-ness—join us as we discover that just enough is the perfect portion when God is teaching you to trust Him one day at a time. For more information about our church community, or to partner with us, go to www.creekside.cc.
