Critically Minded Podcast Network

These three podcast series present critical thinking in a language-learner-based approach. Although it is aimed at English language learners, they can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to learn about the basics of critical thinking in a clear, systematic and concise way. Critically Minded (12 episodes) is concerned with critical thinking skills and details various argumentative organizations and the language used to convey them. The language level is lower intermediate. Dialogically Minded (14 episodes) presents the discourse markers that are used to express critical dispositions in academic, professional and civic life. Rationally Minded (24 planned episodes) is a gameshow format program in which guests are, ostensibly, challenged to identify types of fallacies by listening to sort skits. Listeners will learn about a variety of fallacies and the language commonly used to respond to them.Critically Minded Network does all this–and more–in a fun and lighthearted way!
