In this week's episode, Ward Burton and Brandon Brown dive deep into the Talladega weekend and the races that took place. Ward shared a little bit of insight into how Jeb Burton's day went and the disappointing end to his race as soon as he appeared to be getting a great run at the front of the pack according to Brandon Brown after reviewing the last few laps of Jeb's in-car footage. Brandon also tells Ward Burton more about who Cleetus McFarland is and gets his opinion on Cleetus's place in NASCAR.

This episode of Crossroads With The Burtons Podcast is packed with great stories and new info. Ward Burton and Jeb Burton sit down with Mark Martin and his son, Mathew Martin. Ward and Mark share old racing stories and revisit some of the contact they had on the track over the years. They also tell of different phone calls and ride offers they received over the years and Mark Martin reveals that he had turned down Rick Hendrick twice before he accepted the offer to drive for him. Mark also shares about his time on the committee which decided the new playoff format, which sparked a great debate within the group about the current position of the sport as a whole. Matthew and Mark Martin also announce a book about Mark's life and career will be released this summer and will be available for presale in just a few weeks!

In this great episode of the Crossroads with the Burtons Podcast, Ward Burton sits down with the general manager of South Boston Speedway, Brandon Brown, to go over Ward's history racing at that iconic local short track and his journey up the ranks to the Cup Series where he became the Daytona 500 winner that we all know now. This episode is packed with some great stories such as Ward racing Volkswagens at South Boston Speedway, to showing up to the Bristol Busch race with just him and his dad and barely making the race.

In this episode, Jeb and Ward Burton cover a lot of ground. Jeb updates us on the racing side of things, then asks Ward a series of questions asked by listeners of the podcast which included, what was the moment Ward felt like he had made it in the sport? One question also prompted Ward to tell us about how he used to keep snakes in his dresser drawer as a kid! Jeb and Ward then go into turkey season where they express concerns for the turkey population, Jeb announces that he has recently gotten engaged, and then also announces that they may have Mark Martin on the show soon!

In this week's episode, Brandon Brown fills in for Ward Burton and sits with Jeb Burton as they recap Martinsville and discuss Lee Pulliam and his miss shift on the restart that caused the pile up that ultimately ended Jeb's great running day along with several other's. They also take a deep dive into Jeb's career all the way back to late models. Jeb talks about the highs, lows, and everything in between that he has had to conquer in order to still be racing today and as he hopes to keep racing another 10+ years. Jeb and his team look forward to Rockingham, even though they had a rough test there before the season started, they seem to have found some speed in the simulator and hoping to bring it to life on the track.

Brandon Brown, general manager of South Boston Speedway is back on the podcast as now part-time host when Jeb Burton is away. Brandon gives a recap of a phenomenal race day at South Boston featuring Elliott Sadler putting on a show racing modifieds and Lee Pulliam coming back and winning the late model race! Ward Burton also gives some great insight this week into wildlife conservation, specifically out national parks, and how we can do our part!

Jeb Burton and his team didn't have the finish that they had hoped for at Vegas, but his sites are now set on Darlington and hoping to keep the momentum they had built from Phoenix. Ward also gives updates on how things are going with The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation. And chickens! Jeb came home from Vegas to see that Ward has gotten chickens and building them a coop!

This week, Jeb Burton is busy on the road so General Manager of South Boston Speedway, Brandon Brown, sat in his seat for a great conversation with Ward Burton. They talked all things racing from upcoming events at the track, old racing stories, former drivers making a comeback appearance at South Boston Speedway, and also teased a future announcement for the next Krush race!

In this episode, Jeb Burton recaps his and his team's last two races at Daytona and Atlanta where he had great performances throughout each race but did not have the results that him and his team wanted. Jeb and Ward Burton also look into what they might have done differently with their careers and what they may or may not regret.

Jeb Burton has his sites set on Daytona as the NASCAR season kicks off this weekend. He is looking to join the other Burton drivers with a Daytona win of his own. In this episode, Ward Burton also reflects on his own Daytona 500 win in 2002, and also the year before where he had dominated the race before was caught up in "the big one" and was not able to finish the race. That 2001 Daytona 500 was also the race where we lost an icon of the sport, Dale Earnhardt.

Jeb and Ward Burton just got back from Shot Show in Vegas where they both got to meet up with a lot of partners and help celebrate 500 years of Beretta. Jeb is also looking forward to the 2026 racing season. This race season brings some exciting changes with an hour of practice, and no more Charlotte Roval which Jeb and Ward are both happy about, but also can't deny Jeb's solid performance there for him and his team last year. Many stories were shared on what is was like growing up with Ward and Jeff Burton, his own very successful kart-racing experiences, rallying up fans to come support his brothers at the local tracks and all the way to the Cup Series, and his decision to go all in on keeping the family construction business alive and making it thrive.

The year has finally come to an end, and with that deer season is almost over too. Jeb Burton just tagged an old whitetail buck, a doe to donate to Hunters for the Hungry, and is looking to go on at least one more hunt before the season is over so that Ward can tag a doe. With the year coming to an end, the excitement can begin as Jeb looks forward to kicking off the racing season at Daytona, returning partners on his car, and a new alliance with RCR and Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport. Ward Burton also shares what it was like the first time he ever got to see Daytona, and how different it is today but in some ways still very similar.

Ward Burton tells of a similar instance where he inadvertently caused a wreck at Talladega, hitting Dale Earnhardt Sr., and receiving death threats because of it. Jeb Burton has a strong 6th place finish at the Roval this past weekend, and looks forward to a hard push the rest of the season to try and come out 13th overall for the season. Work on the farm isn't done yet or Ward as him and Jeb work on the final preparations for this year's whitetail hunting season as well as some bear hunting later in the year.

Ward took a trip overseas and talks about the different experiences that he was able to have. Jeb has just returned from an Elk hunt where him and his buddy, Paul, were able to both tag an Elk with their bows. Jeb also is very optimistic of these last 6 races of the year and what next year has in store for him and his team.

Ward Burton gives some very exciting updates on his farm, the Cove, as archeologists uncover evidence of a past Native American village on the property.

After his last lap wreck this past weekend at Charlotte, Jeb Burton expresses his frustration with last laps. Several races for him this season have been great days that seem to take a turn for the worst during the last lap, such as Daytona or the heartbreaking photo finish at Talladega that left Jeb in second. Protecting your land not only benefits you and your family, but the wildlife that thrive off of that land. Jeb and Ward share their opinions on the growing development of rural areas, flattening hundreds of acres for solar farms and even how Ward was able to use his Wildlife Foundation to protect a military base from having to shut down around 30% of flight operations due to a potential wind farm nearby.

Jeb Burton has quite the history or running up front at Talladega and being able to control that race. With his eyes set on a much needed 3rd victory at Talladega, the caution flag was thrown in the last lap, ending the race with very unclear camera angles and leading to a highly controversial decision that put Jeb in second place.

Jeb Burton looks forward to this weekend at Rockingham, last time he took the green flag at this track it was in the Truck series at the front of the pack after taking the pole. Ward Burton also reminisces on his Busch series win at Rockingham. Jeb has also had success at Talladega with his 2021 and 2023 wins there, and looks forward to next weekend as him and his team have high hopes to add a third. Turkey season is also in full swing as Jeb started the week off with bagging a turkey of his own and has plans to take some more friends and family along to share his love of turkey hunting.

A last lap crash during the NASCAR Xfinity race at Martinsville this past weekend has left multiple drivers with bad taste in their mouth. Especially upset, is Jeb Burton who ran great all day, working his way from the very back to the top 10, only to lose several positions coming out of the last turn of the race as a result of the wreck. Jeb Burton is also introducing a new throwback paint scheme of his dad, Ward Burton's iconic Hardees car paint scheme at Darlington this weekend.

Last weekend's NASCAR Xfinity race came with its ups and downs for Jeb from a wreck in lap 1 to penalties in pit lane. Now, its time to set focus on running tight to the wall in Miami. Jeb and Ward both are looking forward to spring turkey season, getting to sit in the woods and have front row seats to wild turkeys gobbling.
