Cultivated Clips from Connect

This was a telephone interview recorded on October 18, 2016. Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D- MO 5th District) was in North Carolina helping get out the vote. Cleaver is a United Methodist clergyperson who served St. James United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO from 1972-2009. He is now finishing his 12th year in Congress and running for re-election.

This clip came from the August 24, 2016 episode of CONNECT. Bishop Ken Carter goes into some detail on "A Way Forward," an initiative from the Council of Bishops that came out of General Conference 2016.

Rev. Dr. James Howell is the episcopal nominee from the Western North Carolina Conference. This was the closing of his address to the delegates from the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference on July 12, 2016.
