Ed Rollins, Hofstra Univ., Sr. Presidential Fellow, considers the effects of the historic Republican win in the 2014 mid-term elections. The Republican party's wings need to deal with tax reform, immigration, the middle class and 2016 election.

City Talk host Doug Muzzio is joined by Michael Wahid Hanna, Fellow at The Century Foundation focusing on issues of international security and U.S. foreign policy in the broader Middle East. They discuss the current political climate in the Middle East.

Sportswriter and author Phil Pepe sits down with Doug to discuss his latest book “1961*: The Inside Story of the Maris-Mantle Home Run Chase.”

Doug is joined by Errol Louis, frequent CUNY TV guest and host of Inside City Hall on NY1. Prior to joining NY1, Louis was a Daily News columnist and morning talk show host on AM1600 WWRL. The two discuss the current state of our city, state, and union.

Doug is joined by legendary sports writer Maury Allen, a former columnist for the “New York Post,” and the author of over twenty books about baseball, including his latest book, “Dixie Walker of the Dodgers: The People's Choice.”

Joining Doug to discuss the positives, the problems, and the prospects of mayoral control of the public schools, Department of Education accountability, testing, parent involvement and more is Betsy Gotbaum, Public Advocate for the City of New York.

Seymour Fliegel, president of the Center for Educational Innovation-Public Education Association joins Doug to discuss how the New York City School System is doing, and what improvements need to be made.
