    WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE

This song is relevant to today's politically toxic climate so allow me to weigh in with this lyric. The music features Joe Bonner on keyboard, Dirk Dickson Bass, Jason Levis provided the sizzle you hear on his cymbal brush work; also notably Harry Grainger on Tenor Sax. I played both guitars and sing the lyric. All musicians are Denver area and Joe has sadly passed but he played with Stanley Turrentine among others from the Pittsburgh area where I now reside for the past two years.

WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE 4BM

A song that equates love and capitalism; I don't take a socialist line on this at all. Lots of Denver musicians on here most notable Joe Bonner DX9, Dirk Dickson bass and Jason Levis drums; providing sizzle to the stereo atmosphere. Harry Grainger did a hell of a job with the tenor sax. Guitar and Vox yours truly.

    CARIBBEAN DAY DREAM - 7FM

Ride the waves with this Stratocastor special. Nicely syncopated by Todd Moore (drums) and John Pendleton (bass). I know cause I had to fit the piano part to theirs. I got that "Boston" sound on the electric guitar and that's a True American Guild that I played live for the original trio studio session. Thanks for listening, Dale.

    When It Comes To Love.WAV

Attempting to compose something comparable to the Swing music of the WW2 era but with a contemporary take on on social trends of today with an emphasis on laissez-faire economics. This 7 piece ensemble includes 2 guitars, tenor sax and trumpet bass, drums and piano.

  5. 24

    Bossa For Eagle's Nest.WAV

Up tempo Latin jazz from the Colorado Mountains. features Jay McGuffin Bass and Dick Cunico Drums, I play a Electromatic Gretsch. More at amazon.com type Dale Allen Robertson in their search bar. Thanks for listening.

Up tempo song about love life in the Colorado Mountains; this is a 5 piece vocal version.

  7. 22

    BossaForEagle'sNest FM.WAV

Got some world class players on this Jay McGuffin-Bass, Dick Cunico-Drums, I'm playing the Elecromatic Gretsch. Usually something like this I would of composed but this was written by ear with help from mother nature. This instrumental features some solo percussion work by Dick with the trio.

  8. 21

    TheFogOfLove FmV.WAV

How does one stay warm on a cold, foggy night in the Colorado Rockies. You get Marc Neihof (Bass), Dick Cunico Drums and make some serious heat. Contemporary smooth sound provided by yours truly on vocal, Gretsch Guitar and piano. I recorded the guitar trio live and added vocal and piano later.

  9. 20

    TheFogOfLove FmI.WAV

This is an Instrumental Latin Jazz that Swings in the middle. I am so happy I got Marc Neihof to play upright bass; Dick Cunico (drums) brought him up that day from Colorado Springs to Two Mile High House near Breckenridge Colorado. I play the Electromatic Gretsch and essentially I recorded the 3 of us live at the same time. I added piano played by me later. I would call this a contemporary standard the audio production will set this apart from similar songs of the last century. There is a vocal version of this as well.

  10. 19

    ThereMustBeALaw Fm.WAV

Fun dance track with sizzle. Percussive drums with Zappa inspired feel (he's still popular in Breckenridge Co.). Featuring the background vocals of the Sweet Alma Soul Sisters (SASS).

  11. 18

    Blues For My Babe.WAV

I tried to capture the spirit of swing era elegance with this Jazz instrumental. The recording has two complimentary elements; analog tape saturation as well as 24 bit digital clarity. This is a seven piece band featuring the late Joe Bonner on piano; trumpet and tenor sax, bass, drums, acoustic and electric guitars.

  12. 17

    THE FOG OF LOVE

Well in an effort to stay warm at 11,000 feet one might be persuaded to venture where otherwise one would not. That is the inspiration for this "Latin Jazz" composition played on the Gretsch Electric with Marc Neihof on Bass and Dick Cunico on drums. Have a Happy Holiday everyone, oh and a last minute shopping idea. https://www.amazon.com/If-Fell-Dale-Allen-Robertson/dp/B00FRWI094/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie =UTF8&qid=1480543429&sr=1-3&refinements=p_32%3ADale+Allen+Robertson

  13. 16

    Recession Blues

I suppose the Great Recession is fading; so I I had better get this out there before it's irrelevant. This has a Zappa inspired bridge with a mix of odd and even time, 69 Stratocastor drive with Jay McGuffin Bass and Dick Cunico Drums. Newly mastered here in Pittsburgh Pa. Here's a shopping idea https://www.amazon.com/If-Fell-Dale-Allen-Robertson/dp/B00FRWI094/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie =UTF8&qid=1480543429&sr=1-3&refinements=p_32%3ADale+Allen+Robertson

  14. 15

    Bossa For Eagle's Nest

Happy New Year 2018, This Latin Jazz Electric Guitar led trio instrumental is receiving "spin" on radioavenue.com which is on TuneIn an internet radio app. It's nice to be played alongside B. B. King and Kevin Eubanks and internet radio is growing continuing to get a larger share of the "radio" market. I got Dick Cunico on Drums ( nice fill work here ) and Jay McGuffin electronic Double Bass. Dale EAG MST1.mp3

  15. 14

If I Fell (In Love With You)

This song features again the Sweet Alma Soul Sisters and the vintage Stratocaster. This must be Colorado Blue eyed soul cause it ain't Motown. There's a touch of country here along with the chicken pickin guitar and a couple of exotic chords which set up a beautiful melody and my best Group Stereo Vocal Mix to date. I have Dick Cunico on Drums, Marc Neihof on Bass, Karla Ascher and Wendy Kerner Backing vocals, and I play guitar, piano and sing. NUVIFauw_S3.mp3

  16. 13

    There Must Be A Law

This song is written from a beautiful woman's point of view. Vintage stratocaster guitar with wah wah pedal and sultry female backing vocals set an amorous tone. I was listening to Frank Zappa's 15 Easy Pieces when I wrote this. I have Dick Cunico on Drums, Jay McGuffin Bass, the Sweet Alma Soul Sisters (Karla Ascher and Wendy Kerner) backing vocals. I played electric guitar, keyboard and lead vocal. LAW MST1L08

  17. 12

The Fog Of Love - In.WAV

Five piece group on this latin jazz bossa nova with electric guitar carrying the melody. This track is also done with a lead vocal on my CD "If I Fell" as well as a solo-acoustic version with vocal.

  18. 11

    Bossa For Eagle's Nest Acoustic.WAV

Solo-acoustic Bossa Nova. Same song that appears on my CD "If I Fell" as a trio. This is basically solo-acoustic.

  19. 10

    TheFogOfLove.WAV

Perky percussion drives this song of mystery and betrayal. An up-tempo bossanova; this is the vocal version, garnished with violins. Dick Cunico drums, Marc Neihof bass and Dale Robertson guitar, vocal and keyboards.

  20. 9

    PlayTheGame.WAV

Fast paced instrumental with dueling soloists. Stylistically a Blues/Hard Rock. This has Ron Bucknam drums, Dirk Dickson bass, Ricardo Pena keyboard and Dale Robertson guitars.

  21. 8

    Peek A Boo

This is a Slow Blues in 12/8 with an uptempo bridge 2/4. Todd Moore applied the drums and Scott Surine ( Surine Basses ) supplied with that fat tone his basses get. Recorded in Denver: I recently added a new piano part. Quite a contrast from the guitar playing pentatonic scale while the piano playing major scale with a flat 7 for each chord.

  22. 7

    Play The Game

This instrumental has elements of Blues. Rock, and Jazz. Powerful organ solo by Ricardo Pena who is climbing Mount Everest today 4/25/2017 . Dirk Dickson's upright bass has a great growl to it and Ron Bucknam found the pocket on this one. I'm still rockin that 69 strat with Rat Pro distortion thru 2 tube pre-amp direct boxes straight into the mixer.

  23. 6

    Play The Game.WAV

Hard hitting Blues Rock Instrumental with dueling soloists. Ron Bucknam Drums, Dirk Dickson Bass, Ricardo Pena Keyboard and Dale Robertson Guitars.

  24. 5

    WhenItComesToLove Fm.WAV

Swinging horn band sound from a by-gone era with contemporary production sensibilities. Lyric explores all avenues to Love and Wealth in our modern world.

    CARIBBEAN DAY DREAM

This carefree Stratocaster Guitar instrumental has a syncopation that defies time. You will float away to the warm whimsical breezes of the Caribbean sea. WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE

This is a throwback to the 1930-40's Jazz rat-pack era that I love. Features swingin horns and Joe Bonner on the keyboard. I am gonna drop another name; and that is Gunther Hofeditz. Gunther was one of Stan Kenton's managers who liked this song and gave me the greatest compliment coming in the voice of his generation. He has since passed. If you like this checkout https://www.amazon.com/Generational-Healing-Dale-Allen-Robertson/dp/B00006910U/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1480543429&sr=1-1&refinements=p_32%3ADale+Allen+Robertson AUW_ampMST4.mp3

  27. 2

    CarribeanDayDream.WAV

Just resurrected this gem from the archive; added piano and voila. It's got a Tom Sholz guitar distortion in stereo which caught my ear. I had gone a different route with this Latin Rock back in 1999 and glad I kept this. We have Todd Moore on percussion(mallets). John Pendleton Bass and Dale Robertson keyboard and guitars. That's a True American Guild in there.
