Nineteen year old singer/songwriter Dan Wythoff recently released his debut recording, "Now, Departing", in the winter of 2008. As the culmination of over a year's work, the eleven song full length album deeply looks into perspectives of many different personalities. With the aid of local producer and musician, Paul Sipio, Wythoff was able bring these ideas to life, combining his lyrical content with ethereal and fluid music that accompanies with a slightly unusual instrumentation. With a writing style that encompasses a variety of musical influences, including such artists as Death Cab For Cutie and Sufjan Stevens, Wythoff's lyrics represent an observation of humanity in a unique fashion, deeply rooted in poetry.
