Dear Caribbean Parents, Are all fathers deadbeats? How do you get along with the father of your children whether you are married to them or not? What stereotypes about men and fathers are you pass on to the next generation?

This one phrase has caused so much dysfunction in the black and Caribbean communities but yet it is recycled from one generation to the other. How do you feel about this topic? Let me know by on IG in the comments section @dearcaribbeanparents2.0

When is it appropriate to listen to children? Do children have the same rights and needs as adults? Should children be allowed to take part in adult conversations?

"Big people doh tell lies' this saying implies that adults are always truthful and must be believed. This saying is frequently repeated to children when they voice their option by saying an adult is lying about the child. Children are often looked at as second-class citizens when it comes to conflicts that involved a child and an adult. The opinion of the adult is most often seen as the truth and the child is looked at as the one telling an untruth even if the reverse is the truth.
