Importance of a Podcast Intro
I don't know about you, but when listening to podcast sometimes the introduction will turn me off. I don't like profanity, alot of ha ha and hee hee giggling or loud background noises but that's just me. The introduction to your show and to your episode is so important. The intro is what will determine if a listener will continue investing their time into listening to the rest of your show. Remember that you only get one chance to make a lasting impression so it's important to nail it quickly. Remember my podcast episode, “Hook em and Book em”? You have to convince your listeners to invest their time and if you have failed to impress them with the introduction, you'll fail to capture new listeners and grow your show.In this episode I am sharing the important topics that should be included when creating an intro to a podcastPodcast NamePodcast DescriptionHost(s) NameSponsorsMusicCTAPlease feel free to leave a review and to share this episode of the Delaware Blogger Podcast with your family, your friends, your bae and your boo too ! Power of the CTA for Your Podcast
Podcasts are a great way to get your message out to a wide audience. They can be used to educate, entertain, and inform listeners. But if you want to make sure your podcast is successful, you need to include a call to action. A call to action is a statement or request that encourages listeners to take a specific action. It can be as simple as asking them to subscribe to your podcast or share it with their friends.A CTA or Call To Action is important for podcasts because it helps to keep listeners engaged and encourages them to take action. It also helps to build relationships with your audience and encourages them to come back for more. Without a call to action, listeners may not know what to do after listening to your podcast. They may forget about it or move on to something else.A few CTA examples include:“Check out the link in the description”“Subscribe to my show”“Click the notification button”“Comment on our website”“Visit this episode’s show notes”Word of mouth is still one of the major ways that podcasts gain listenership, and that’s why including a request to tell others is still the most popular CTA.When creating a call to action for your podcast, it’s important to make it clear and concise. You want to make sure that listeners understand what you’re asking them to do. You also want to make sure that it’s relevant to the content of your podcast. For example, if you’re talking about a new product, you might ask listeners to visit your website to learn more. It’s also important to make sure that your call to action is timely. If you’re talking about a new product, you want to make sure that listeners know that they need to act now. You don’t want them to forget about it or wait until it’s too late. Finally, you want to make sure that your call to action is easy to follow. You don’t want to make it too complicated or overwhelming. You want to make sure that listeners can easily understand what you’re asking them to do.A call to action is an important part of any podcast. It helps to keep listeners engaged and encourages them to take action. It also helps to build relationships with your audience and encourages them to come back for more. By including a call to action in your podcast, you can ensure that your message is heard and that your listeners take action. So take a listen to this episode to hear more about why and what you should ask your listeners to do after they hear an episode.Thank you all for listening to today’s episode of the Delaware Blogger Podcast, and if you found anything that I said of interest to you, please subscribe and share with others, you may even want to leave a rating or a review and check out a few other episodes while you are here too.I invite you to subscribe to my blog - Delblogger.com where you will find more blogging tips and podcasting pointers as well as the links to purchase your copy of Basic Blogging Tips for Beginners or Podcasting Your Purpose Workbook on Amazon.I also invite you to send an email to [email protected] to schedule a 15-Minute Complimentary Discovery Call or enroll in the 5-week podcast coaching sessions for blogging or podcasting support.Until the next time, this is the DE Divah aka the Delaware Blogger - have a beautifully blessed day. Podcast Promotions and Sponsorships
Are there products and/or services that you just love and post about them on social media any chance you get? Have you taken a trip lately and loved the location and or the accommodations? Are you a foodie that loves to share recipes? Is there a restaurant or bar that you love to visit, If so, then you should think about promoting these products and services on your podcast. As a blogger or influencer since 2012, I have made a little, not much, but a few coins from product promotions. I along with two other boomer bloggers were even flown to Los Angeles and was on Rodeo Drive to shoot a commercial for Depend undergarments which also appeared in Woman's Day Magazine. I have received checks, clothing, laptops, printers and cars just to promote products, if you don’t believe me, head over to my first blog, DeDivahDeals.com and check it out.I would have probably made a lot more or received more products had I not pivoted to a more business profile page and started my own business in social media management, but just like anything else in life, there are ebbs and flows and I am flowing back into the product endorsements and now can use my podcast as another platform. So in this episode I will briefly talk about Affiliate Marketing and Sponsorships and I invite you to subscribe to my blog for the full transcript later.Support the showIf you are ready to start a podcast and need assistance, please send an email to [email protected] and you can find and follow me on all my social media platforms at https://linktr.ee/ablakeenterprises

Broaden Your Brand with a Podcast
In preparation and anticipation of my presentation at PodKnow 2023, I am sharing the 5 ways in which to broaden your brand with a podcast. Are you a business or a brand? You may not own and operate an online business, or a brick and mortar shop, but you are a brand if you are sharing content on social media or in print media and because of that you should definitely consider starting a podcast.I’m willing to bet that when you think of branding you immediately think of a brick and mortar or online marketing business, however, that isn’t the case. If you are a doctor, lawyer, preacher, teacher, Iman, author, student, a stay-at-home mom or dad, content creator, cartoonist, realtor, designer or even a couch potato a podcast will definitely help to broaden your brand when you want to share more of your content/course or opinion. In this episode, I share 5 reasons why you should start a podcast which includes:You will reach an active audienceSpeaking is quicker than writingSome people prefer listening over readingMen and Women listen to podcast equallyIt's FREE or relatively inexpensive when compared to other forms or marketingTake a listen and then leave a review, and don't forget to share with your family, friends, bae and boo too. Benefits of Starting a Business Podcast - Part 1
Benefits of Starting a Business Podcast - Part 1As a blogger who has turned it into a profitable business, I realize that not everyone has time to read a 500-600-word blog post, let alone write one. Many just want to watch a quick video or listen to a short show, which is probably one of the best benefits of starting a business podcast. The best part, you don’t need to be a blogger or an established content creator to learn how to start a podcast for your business. I offer a 5-Week Course that will have your up and running quickly.Unlike written or visual content, podcasts are great to listen to when you’re on-the-go, whether it's walking on a treadmill at the gym, or on your morning commute to work. Simply sticking your earbuds into your ears while doing yard work or a little spring cleaning …you can listen during any of these times. It’s now easier than ever to listen to podcasts. Bluetooth technology allows people to listen in their cars. Apple’s Podcast app is pre-installed on every device and it only takes a few clicks to subscribe to a podcast. It’ll also notify them each time a new episode is available to listen and download. As a business owner, it’s time to leverage that and cater to your audience by starting a podcast. In this episode I am sharing 5 benefits of starting a business podcast and next week I will come back with 5 more.Make sure to purchase your ticket to the PodKnow 2023 Online Conference and be eligible to win a copy of my "Podcasting Your Purpose Resource Guide - Edition 2Podknow 2023 is on Saturday, February 4th, https://nycpodcastnetwork.com/conference-speaker/antionette-blake/?1673628059Support the showIf you are ready to start a podcast and need assistance, please send an email to [email protected] and you can find and follow me on all my social media platforms at https://linktr.ee/ablakeenterprises
