Sunday mornings are a time for possibility, curiosity, for much-needed rest and recovery. It can be a magical, intimate and creative time. But quiet mornings can also be challenging, as thoughts and obligations rush to fill the empty space. In a world that increasingly takes its toll on the kindest and most sensitive of people, this mix is aimed at reflecting that push and pull between rest and restlessness. I wanted to be sensitive to both sides of the morning experience and to explore kindness and care, some playfulness, and also reflect the natural uneasiness we might feel at the start of the day. On Sundays, I like to go for a walk in the morning. Most of the time, I head to my favorite park while listening to music :) It's my favorite day for digging because I have plenty of headspace. Rest... Or at least the following Sunday after I performed this live set was. Because I have to admit, not all my Sundays are planned with recovery in mind. This particular morning found myself processing the prior evening where I debuted my live set under the Esquisse banner at a Church in Brussels. I have one big playlist called 'Tea & Yoghurt' with tracks that fit my morning routine. The idea is that I could always start this playlist during my morning walk, followed by some… tea and yoghurt. The playlist itself covers a lot of ground, from Fila Brazillia to The Cinematic Orchestra or some Mount Kimbie and LTJ Bukem to have an extra kickstart. But for this mix I went a step further into the lazy end of things. A balanced combination between acoustic work and futuristic sounds, all leaning towards those slow Sunday mornings where you're in no rush to do anything. Also wanted to revisit something. Back in 2019 I made a Sunday Snooze mix for 3voor12, and for a long time I wanted to make a follow-up. So here it is and feels good to share this new take with my close friends from Delayed.
