Derek Maxfield is CEO of Komigo, co-founder of Younique, and a founding board member of Saprea. With 12 years of prior experience in software development for direct sales, Derek launched Younique in 2012 alongside his sister. Their mobile-first cosmetics brand pioneered social selling and achieved international growth. Derek’s entrepreneurial success fueled his greater mission to found Saprea, a nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

While Derek Maxfield is known for his business achievements, his most cherished titles are husband and father. He and his wife, Shelaine, are raising their children, with faith and family at the center of their lives.

Behind every accomplishment in Derek Maxfield’s life lies a promise, one he made to a dying friend, to do something great with his life. That promise inspired Saprea, a nonprofit serving survivors of childhood sexual abuse, where Derek is a founding board member.
