While You Wait
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following God.It’s the space between what He promised and what you can actually see.The place where time stretches longer than you expected.Where answers feel delayed.Where progress seems slow—or nonexistent. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about what it means to trust God not after the answer comes—but while you wait.Because waiting is not wasted time.It is a place where faith is refined, trust is deepened, and God is still at work—even when it feels like nothing is happening. In This EpisodeWhy waiting often feels more difficult than the problem itselfThe tension between God’s promises and present realityWhat God is doing in seasons that feel slow or silentHow waiting shapes your faith and dependence on HimWhy God’s timing is intentional—even when it’s hard to understandKey TruthGod is not inactive while you wait. He is working in ways you cannot yet see.Reflection QuestionsWhat are you currently waiting on God for?How has the waiting affected your faith? What would it look like to trust Him in this season, even without answers?Closing EncouragementWaiting does not mean God has forgotten you.It does not mean His promise has failed. It simply means the story is still unfolding.Stay faithful. Stay close. Stay expectant.God is working—even here, even now.ResourcesFind more daily devotionals and encouragement:👉 https://anotherwell.orgSubscribe to Digging Another Well for short, Scripture-centered encouragement for your daily walk with God.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Come Unto Me
Scripture: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28There are seasons when exhaustion goes deeper than sleep can fix.Not just physical tiredness—but a kind of weariness that settles into your soul. The kind that builds slowly. The weight of responsibilities. The pressure that never fully lets up. The feeling that you are giving more than you have to give.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we look at one of the most personal invitations Jesus ever gave:Come unto me.Not when you have it together. Not when you have recovered enough to be useful again. But right in the middle of exhaustion.Jesus does not offer temporary relief. He offers something deeper:Rest for your soul.If you feel worn down, stretched thin, or like you are running on empty, this episode is a reminder that you were never meant to carry it all alone—and that there is a place to bring it.In This EpisodeWhat real exhaustion looks like beyond physical fatigueWhy burnout often builds quietly over timeThe simplicity and power of Jesus’ invitationThe difference between temporary rest and soul-level restorationWhy you don’t have to “get it together” before coming to GodReflection QuestionsWhere in your life are you feeling most exhausted right now? What have you been trying to carry on your own? What would it look like to actually bring that weight to God today?Closing EncouragementYou do not have to push through until something breaks. There is a place for your weariness. There is a place for the weight you have been carrying. And the One inviting you there is not disappointed that you need rest.Come to Him. Exactly as you are. He will take it from there.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgSubscribe to Digging Another Well for short, Scripture-based devotionals to strengthen your daily walk with God.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Rejoice Anyway
Scripture: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” — Philippians 4:4There are seasons in life when rejoicing feels nearly impossible. When the diagnosis comes. When the pressure builds. When relationships break down. When the plan you had carefully built begins to unravel—joy is not the first thing that rises in your heart. And yet, Scripture says: Rejoice in the Lord always. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we explore what that command really means—and why it is not as unreasonable as it may seem.Paul wrote these words from a prison cell. Not from comfort, not from ease, but from a place of uncertainty and confinement. And still, he repeats it: Rejoice. Not in your circumstances. Not because everything is fine. But in the Lord. This is not about pretending life is easy. It is about anchoring your joy in something that does not change—even when everything around you does.If you are walking through a difficult season, this is a reminder you need:Joy is not the absence of difficulty. It is the presence of God in the middle of it.In This EpisodeWhy rejoicing can feel impossible in hard seasonsThe context behind Philippians 4:4The difference between rejoicing in circumstances and rejoicing in the LordWhat it looks like to choose joy in real, practical waysReflection QuestionsWhat situation in your life feels hardest to rejoice in right now?Are you anchoring your joy in your circumstances or in who God is?What would it look like to intentionally praise God even before things change?Closing EncouragementRejoicing is not denial. It is defiance.A refusal to let your circumstances have the final word.God has not changed. And because of that, joy is still possible.Rejoice. And again—rejoice.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well for more daily devotionals grounded in Scripture.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. No Condemnation
Scripture: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1Some of the heaviest burdens we carry are not placed on us by others. They come from within. The replaying of moments we cannot change. The words we wish we had said differently. The decisions we wish we could take back. Long after everyone else has moved on, we return to those moments and put ourselves on trial again and again.God has forgiven us. But we struggle to forgive ourselves. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we look at one of the most powerful declarations in all of Scripture—and what it means for the guilt we continue to carry. There is now no condemnation. Not partial. Not delayed. Not conditional. No condemnation.Because the weight of every failure, every regret, every “should have” and “could have” was already placed on Christ. And if He has already taken it, why are we still carrying it?This is not about excusing what happened. It is about agreeing with what God has already declared. If you find yourself stuck in guilt, replaying the past, or unable to move forward, this is a reminder you need:The case has already been settled. You do not have to keep standing trial for what has been dismissed. In This EpisodeWhy self-condemnation can be one of the heaviest burdensThe true meaning of “no condemnation” in Romans 8:1The difference between guilt, forgiveness, and freedomWhat it means to receive what Christ has already paid forReflection QuestionsAre you holding onto something God has already forgiven? What keeps you replaying the same moment in your mind? What would it look like to fully receive God’s forgiveness today?Closing EncouragementGod is not asking you to punish yourself for what He has already paid for. There is no condemnation. Not from Him.And with His help, not from you either.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well for more daily devotionals grounded in Scripture.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. A Stronghold In The Grip
Scripture: “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” — Nahum 1:7There are moments in life when the pressure feels overwhelming.Sometimes it comes suddenly — in urgent, high-stakes situations where every second matters. Other times, it builds quietly over time through stress, responsibility, uncertainty, and the weight of everyday life.Either way, the grip is real.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we look at a powerful and often overlooked verse tucked inside the book of Nahum — a reminder of who God is when life begins to close in.He is not just a source of comfort. He is a stronghold.A place of refuge. A place that holds when everything else feels like it’s giving way. A place where the pressure of life meets its limit. But the verse doesn’t stop there. It also reminds us that God knows those who trust in Him — personally, specifically, even in the middle of the struggle. If you feel overwhelmed, unseen, or pressed from every direction, this is a reminder you need:There is a place the pressure cannot reach. And it is found in who God is.In This EpisodeWhat it means that God is a “stronghold”How life’s pressure builds — suddenly and slowlyThe difference between comfort and refugeWhy God’s personal awareness of you matters in hard seasonsReflection QuestionsWhere do you feel the pressure of life most right now?Are you trying to manage the pressure, or are you running to God as your stronghold? What would it look like to trust that God sees you personally in this season?Closing EncouragementThe pressure is real. But it is not stronger than the place God provides.Run to Him. He is already watching for you.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well for more daily devotionals grounded in Scripture.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Create In Me
Scripture: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10What do you do when trying harder isn’t enough? In this episode of Digging Another Well, we look at one of the most honest prayers in all of Scripture—and what it reveals about the kind of transformation God desires to do in us.There are seasons when we recognize something isn’t right. The same patterns keep showing up. The same distance keeps returning. We try to fix it with more effort, more discipline, more resolve… but nothing seems to truly change.David found himself in that exact place. After being confronted with his sin, he didn’t ask God to help him do better. He didn’t promise to try harder. Instead, he prayed something far deeper: “Create in me a clean heart.”That word create is intentional. It’s the same word used in Genesis when God created something out of nothing. David wasn’t asking for improvement. He was asking for transformation—something only God could do.This episode is a reminder that spiritual growth is not just about effort. There are moments when what we need goes beyond discipline and into divine work.If you feel stuck… if your own effort has reached its limit… you may be closer to breakthrough than you think.Because that is often the moment where God begins something new.In This EpisodeWhy effort alone cannot fix a drifting heartThe deeper meaning behind “create in me”The difference between behavior change and heart transformationHow God meets us when we come honestly and undoneReflection QuestionsWhere in your life have your own efforts stopped producing change? Are you trying to improve something that God wants to transform? What would it look like to come before God honestly, without a plan to fix it yourself?Closing EncouragementGod is not asking you to fix yourself. He is inviting you to bring Him what you cannot fix.And when you do, He creates what you could never produce on your own.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well for more daily devotionals grounded in Scripture.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Still His Plan
Scripture: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11What do you do when life doesn’t look anything like you planned? In this episode of Digging Another Well, we take a closer look at one of the most quoted verses in Scripture—and the part we often overlook.Jeremiah 29:11 is frequently used as a reminder of God’s good plan. But the context tells a deeper story. These words were spoken to people living in exile—far from home, in a place they never chose, under circumstances they never wanted. And it was there, in that place, that God said: “I know the thoughts that I think toward you…”Not after things improved. Not once they got back on track. But right in the middle of it.God’s plan does not always unfold in comfortable or expected ways. Sometimes it looks like delay. Sometimes it feels like loss. Sometimes it places us in seasons we would have never chosen for ourselves. But His purpose has not changed. If you find yourself in a place you did not expect—if life feels off course or unfamiliar—this devotional is a reminder that God has not lost track of you.The detour did not cancel His plan. Your circumstances did not change His intentions. The expected end is still ahead. In This EpisodeThe real context behind Jeremiah 29:11Why God’s plan doesn’t always look like we expectTrusting God in seasons that feel like detoursHolding onto hope when life feels off courseReflection QuestionsAre you in a season you never would have chosen? How have your expectations differed from your current reality? What would it look like to trust God’s plan, even here?Closing EncouragementGod’s plan is not fragile. It is not undone by your circumstances.Even here. Even now. It is still His plan.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Walking Through
Scripture:“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” — Psalm 23:4There are seasons in life that feel like they will never end.Moments where the weight is heavy, the darkness feels permanent, and the path forward is unclear. Valleys that linger longer than expected, leaving us wondering if we will ever make it out.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on one of the most well-known verses in Scripture and a powerful truth we often overlook:We are not meant to stay in the valley. We are meant to walk through it.David does not deny the reality of the valley. He names it for what it is—dark, shadowed, and capable of producing fear even in a faithful heart. But then he makes a declaration that changes everything:“I will fear no evil.”Not because the valley is easy. Not because the darkness is not real. But because of who is present in it.“For thou art with me.”God’s presence does not always remove the valley—but it changes how we walk through it. The promise is not always immediate escape, but faithful companionship. And that word through matters. The valley is not your destination. It is a passage.A season with an entrance—and an exit. The darkness may be real, but it is not permanent. If you are walking through a difficult season today, this devotional is a reminder:you are not stuck. You are moving.God knows the way.He walks beside you.And He is leading you through. In This EpisodeWhy some seasons feel like they will never endThe difference between being in a valley and being stuck in oneHow God’s presence changes our perspective in hardshipThe significance of the word through in Psalm 23Finding comfort in God’s guidance and protectionReflection QuestionsWhat valley are you currently walking through?Have you been viewing it as a destination instead of a passage? How does knowing God is with you change the way you walk through it?Closing EncouragementThe valley is real. The shadow is real. But so is the Shepherd. You are not stuck. You are walking through.ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at: https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Light in the Middle of the Chaos
Scripture:“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God… among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” — Philippians 2:15Chaos has a way of demanding our attention.Noise.Conflict.Confusion.Disorder.It is easy to feel overwhelmed by it all — and even easier to lose focus in the middle of it.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Philippians 2:15 and the calling to shine as lights in the world — not in calm conditions, but in the midst of a crooked and broken world. The assignment does not change because the environment is chaotic.Just as a responder on a scene must stay focused despite the noise around them, believers are called to remain steady and purposeful. The anger, confusion, and disorder around us are real — but they are not meant to define our response. We are not called to retreat. We are not called to blend in.We are called to shine. Not from a distance…But right in the middle of it.If the world feels overwhelming right now, this devotional is a reminder: your presence is not accidental. You are placed where you are for a reason. And your light may be exactly what someone nearby needs. In This EpisodeWhat it means to shine “in the midst of” a broken worldStaying focused on purpose in chaotic environmentsThe temptation to retreat versus the call to engageLiving with steady, visible faith in everyday momentsReflection QuestionsWhere does the chaos around you feel most overwhelming? Are you tempted to withdraw, or remain engaged with purpose? How can you intentionally shine as a light in your current environment?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When Blessing Becomes a Distraction
Scripture:“Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God…” — Deuteronomy 8:11We often remember the hard seasons.Moments of struggle…Times of need…Seasons that drove us to depend on God more deeply. Those experiences leave a mark. They remind us how much we need Him.But there is another kind of season that can quietly shape us just as much — the season when things are going well.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on God’s warning in Deuteronomy 8. As His people prepared to enter a land of blessing, abundance, and stability, He gave them a surprising caution: “Beware… lest you forget the LORD your God.”Forgetting God is rarely intentional. It is usually gradual. When life is difficult, we cling to Him.But when life becomes comfortable, urgency can fade.Prayer can become less frequent.Dependence can quietly be replaced by routine.Blessing is not the problem. But it can become a distraction. Not because it is wrong — but because it can lead us to rely on what we have instead of the One who provided it.If life feels steady right now, this devotional is an invitation to pause and remember. The same God who met you in your lowest moments must remain central in your best ones.In This EpisodeWhy difficult seasons often deepen our dependence on GodThe warning in Deuteronomy 8 about forgetting God in blessingHow spiritual drift happens gradually, not suddenlyStaying aware of God in seasons of comfort and stabilityReflection QuestionsHas comfort in your life led to less dependence on God?Where might gratitude have quietly shifted into assumption? What practices can help you remain aware of God in this season?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Just Give It To God
Scripture:“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7Why is it so hard to let go?We hold on to things that stir our emotions — offenses, worries, anxieties, burdens. We replay conversations. We rehearse situations. We carry weight that was never meant to stay in our hands. And if we are honest, sometimes holding on feels easier than releasing. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Peter’s instruction in 1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your care upon him.” Not setting it down temporarily. Not revisiting it later. But casting it — with intention and release. The cares we carry — anxiety, distraction, emotional weight — are not things we were designed to handle alone. Yet we carry them into our days, into our thoughts, even into our rest, and wonder why we feel so worn down. But this verse is not just about relief. It is about relationship.“For he careth for you.”God is not distant. He is not waiting for you to figure it out. He is personally invested in what concerns you.The question is not whether God can handle what you are carrying. The question is whether you are willing to let it go.Holding on does not protect us.It does not heal us.It does not strengthen us.It only keeps our hands too full to receive what God has for us next.If you are carrying something heavy today, this devotional is an invitation to release it — completely, intentionally — into the hands of the One who truly cares. In This EpisodeWhy we naturally hold on to worry, offense, and anxietyThe meaning behind “casting” in 1 Peter 5:7How carrying burdens affects our hearts and mindsTrusting God enough to fully release what we are holdingReflection QuestionsWhat are you currently holding onto that God is asking you to release?Do you trust God enough to let go of what you cannot control? What would it look like to fully “cast” your cares onto Him today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Faith on Autopilot
Scripture:“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46Some things in life become automatic.Driving. Daily routines. Tasks we’ve done so many times that they require little thought or attention. What once demanded focus eventually becomes second nature. The same can happen in our spiritual lives. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jesus’ question in Luke 6:46 and the danger of letting faith drift into routine. It is possible to pray without thinking, read Scripture without reflecting, and participate in spiritual activity while our hearts are only partially engaged. The habits remain. But the attention fades. This is the subtle danger of mechanical faith.Jesus is not concerned with activity alone. He is concerned with the condition of the heart. It is possible to say the right things and do the right things while being disconnected where it matters most.Faith was never meant to run on autopilot.God invites us into something deeper — a relationship marked by attention, response, and sincerity. Not just repetition, but engagement. Not just routine, but connection. If your walk with God has begun to feel familiar but distant, this devotional is an invitation to pause. To slow down. To listen. And to engage again. In This EpisodeHow routine can quietly replace relationshipThe meaning behind Jesus’ question in Luke 6:46The difference between consistent habits and engaged faithMoving from mechanical faith to intentional relationshipReflection QuestionsWhere has your spiritual life become routine or automatic? Are your habits still connected to a living relationship with God?What would it look like to slow down and re-engage your heart today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Still Making a Difference
Scripture:“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?” — Matthew 5:13What does it mean to truly make a difference? In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:13 and His description of believers as the salt of the earth.Salt is not flashy. It is not loud.It is not meant to draw attention to itself. But its influence is undeniable. It preserves what would decay. It brings out what would otherwise go unnoticed. It changes everything it touches simply by being what it was created to be.And yet Jesus gives a sobering warning: salt can lose its savour. It can become ineffective. It is possible to carry the name of Christ…To show up in the right places…To say the right things…And still no longer have any real influence. When our lives blend in completely with the culture…When our presence changes nothing…When our absence would go unnoticed…Something has been lost. This devotional is a call to examine not just whether we once made a difference — but whether we still are.The influence of a life rooted in Christ does not fade with time. But it does require intentionality. It requires staying close to God and being willing to live differently in a world that encourages us to blend in.You were placed where you are for a reason. The question is not whether you can make a difference…It is whether you are.In This EpisodeWhat Jesus meant by being the “salt of the earth”How influence can quietly fade without us noticingThe danger of blending in with cultureLiving with intentional, Christ-centered impactReflection QuestionsWhere has your influence for Christ grown weaker over time?Do your daily environments reflect a life that stands out or blends in?What would it look like to intentionally live as “salt” where God has placed you?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When The Detour Is The Direction
Scripture:“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm 37:23Life does not always follow the path we expect.Plans are made. Goals are set. We map out what we believe the future should look like. And then something changes. A door closes. A new opportunity appears. The direction shifts. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Psalm 37:23 and the truth that God orders not just our destination, but our steps.Sometimes what feels like a detour is actually direction. What we thought was a temporary shift…What we assumed was off track…May actually be the very path God intended all along. It is easy to trust God when the path is clear. But when plans change and outcomes differ from what we expected, we can begin to wonder if we have missed something. But God does not lose track of us.He is not adjusting His plan because ours did not work out. He knows the steps before we take them. The unexpected turns, the closed doors, the new directions — none of it is random in His hands. If life looks different than you thought it would, this devotional is a reminder that God is still leading. And sometimes, the detour is not a distraction — it is the direction. In This EpisodeWhy life often takes unexpected turnsWhat Psalm 37:23 teaches about God ordering our stepsThe difference between a detour and divine directionTrusting God when plans changeReflection QuestionsWhere has your life taken an unexpected turn recently?Do you view that change as a detour — or as direction? How might trusting God reshape your perspective on where you are right now?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. You Never Know Who's Watching
Scripture:“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16We do not always know who is watching.Sometimes we assume the ordinary moments of life go unnoticed. The way we respond under pressure. The way we treat others. The way we carry ourselves when no one seems to be paying attention. But often, more people are watching than we realize. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:16 and what it truly means to let our light shine. This is not a call to perform or to behave differently when the right audience is present. It is a call to live with consistent, genuine faith. When faith is real, it shows. Not because we are trying to be seen…But because what is inside naturally becomes visible. The people around us notice more than we think. In everyday moments — at work, at home, in passing interactions — our lives can quietly point others toward God.And often, we do not even realize it is happening. If we only live differently when we know someone is watching, that is performance. But a life rooted in Christ will shine consistently, even in the unnoticed moments. If you are walking through an ordinary day today, this devotional is a reminder: it matters. You may not know who is watching, but your life can still point them toward God.In This EpisodeWhat Jesus meant by “let your light shine”The difference between performance and genuine faithHow everyday moments reveal what is truly inside usLiving consistently, not just visiblyReflection QuestionsDo you live differently when you know others are watching?Where in your daily life might your actions quietly influence others? What would it look like to live with consistent, authentic faith today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. As He Said
Scripture:“He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” — Matthew 28:6There is a difference between hearing a promise… and seeing it fulfilled. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the resurrection of Jesus and the powerful phrase spoken by the angel at the tomb: “as He said.”The women who came to the tomb that morning had heard Jesus speak about His resurrection. They had been given the promise. But between the promise and its fulfillment stood a cross, a burial, and days of silence that must have felt long and uncertain. Then everything changed. The stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty. And the promise became reality. As He said. These two words remind us that nothing about the resurrection was accidental. It was not a last-minute rescue or an unexpected outcome. It was the plan all along — spoken clearly, fulfilled completely. And every promise God has made carries that same assurance. The promise of forgiveness…The promise of peace…The promise that He will never leave us…All of it will be fulfilled — exactly as He said.Because the tomb is empty, we can trust every word He has spoken. The resurrection is not just something we celebrate — it is the foundation for everything we believe. If you are waiting on something God has promised, this devotional is a reminder: the space between promise and fulfillment does not mean it has been forgotten. He is risen.Exactly as He said. And every promise still stands. In This EpisodeThe meaning behind “as He said” in Matthew 28:6The tension between promise and fulfillmentWhy the resurrection proves God’s faithfulnessTrusting God in seasons of waitingReflection QuestionsWhere are you currently waiting on something God has promised? How does the resurrection shape your confidence in His promises? What would it look like to trust Him fully in the waiting?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. God Is Still Good
Scripture:“O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” — Psalm 136:1There are moments in life when we are painfully aware of our failures.Things we have said.Choices we have made.Moments we wish we could take back.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Psalm 136 and the steady, unchanging truth repeated throughout the chapter: “His mercy endureth for ever.”God’s goodness is not like the world’s version of good.It is not conditional. It is not temporary. It does not fade when we fall short.Psalm 136 reminds us that God’s mercy does not run out. It does not diminish after repeated failures. It does not expire when we return again and again. His mercy endures — not because we have earned it, but because it is rooted in who He is.We live in a world that keeps score. Our failures can feel defining. But Scripture tells a different story.God is not surprised by your past.He is not limited by your failures. And His goodness has not changed. This is not a license to continue in sin — it is an invitation to stop hiding and return to the One whose mercy has never wavered. If you are carrying the weight of past mistakes today, this devotional is a reminder: God is still good. And His mercy still endures. In This EpisodeThe meaning behind “His mercy endureth for ever” in Psalm 136Why God’s goodness is not dependent on our performanceThe difference between worldly “goodness” and God’s goodnessMoving from guilt and hiding toward grace and honestyReflection QuestionsAre you allowing past failures to define your view of God’s goodness?Where might you be tempted to hide instead of return? How does understanding God’s unchanging mercy reshape your perspective today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When Things Are Not Fine
Scripture:“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” — Psalm 42:5Sometimes the hardest words to say are the simplest ones:“I’m not fine.”In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Psalm 42 and the honesty of the psalmist. This is not a cheerful song. It is the voice of someone who is cast down, unsettled, and struggling to make sense of what they are feeling. And yet, instead of pretending, the psalmist does something powerful — he speaks honestly about where he is.There is no performance. No polished response.Just truth. But he does not stop there. In the middle of his struggle, he gently redirects his soul: “Hope thou in God.” Not denying the pain, but refusing to let it have the final word. This devotional reminds us that we do not have to pretend before God. He already knows. And He meets us not in perfection, but in honesty. If you are walking through a difficult season — emotionally, physically, or spiritually — this is an invitation to bring your real condition before God and trust that He is still present, still listening, and still leading. The praise may feel far away. But it will come again. In This EpisodeWhy Psalm 42 models honest faithThe difference between pretending and processingSpeaking truth to your own soulFinding hope without denying the struggleReflection QuestionsWhere in your life have you been tempted to pretend instead of be honest? What would it look like to bring your true condition before God today? How can you gently redirect your thoughts toward hope in this season?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When The Journey Is Too Much
Scripture:“And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.” — 1 Kings 19:7There are moments when the weight of life feels heavier than we want to admit.Responsibilities stack up.Energy runs low.And the quiet realization begins to surface: this is more than I can carry on my own.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Elijah’s moment of exhaustion in 1 Kings 19. After a great victory, he found himself overwhelmed, discouraged, and worn down. The journey had simply become too much. And God did not rebuke him.He did not tell him to push harder or try again. Instead, God met him in his weakness. He provided rest. He gave nourishment. And then He gently called him to rise, reminding him, “the journey is too great for thee.”This is not a criticism — it is a truth. We were never meant to carry everything alone.God does not expect us to sustain ourselves by our own strength. He meets us in our limitations and provides what we need for the next step — not always the whole path, but enough to keep moving forward. If you feel overwhelmed today — physically, emotionally, or spiritually — this devotional is a reminder that you are not alone, and you are not expected to carry it all.The journey may be too great for you.But it is not too great for Him.In This EpisodeElijah’s moment of exhaustion after Mount CarmelWhy God meets us in weakness instead of rebuking itThe danger of trying to carry everything ourselvesLearning to receive God’s provision for the next stepReflection QuestionsWhere do you feel overwhelmed right now?Are you trying to carry something God never intended you to carry alone? What might it look like to pause and receive what God is providing today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. More Than The Jacket
Scripture:“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 7:21Not everything on the outside is what it seems.Sometimes what looks polished, put together, and convincing on the surface tells a very different story underneath. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on one of the most sobering warnings from Jesus in Matthew 7. He speaks of people who called Him Lord, who did impressive things in His name, and who appeared to have genuine faith. But He says something unexpected: “I never knew you.”From the outside, everything looked right. The language was right. The actions were visible. But underneath, something was missing. This devotional challenges us to consider the difference between appearing faithful and actually knowing Christ. It is possible to wear the “jacket” of faith — to say the right things and show up in the right places — while the deeper reality of our lives tells a different story.God is not looking for a performance. He is looking for a relationship. This is not a call to perfection, but to authenticity. Not to manage an impression, but to pursue transformation from the inside out.If your faith has felt more external than internal, this devotional is a reminder that God sees beyond appearances — and invites you to come to Him as you are.In This EpisodeWhy Matthew 7:21 is one of Jesus’ most sobering warningsThe difference between outward appearance and inward realityWhat it means to truly know ChristMoving from performance-based faith to genuine relationshipReflection QuestionsIs your faith more about appearance or authentic relationship? Are there areas where your private life does not match your public expression of faith? What would it look like to pursue deeper transformation rather than outward impression?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. He Saw You Coming
Scripture:“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him…” — Luke 15:20There are moments when we delay what we know we need to do.An apology. A conversation. A step we’ve been putting off.Sometimes it’s not because we don’t know — it’s because we’re avoiding what it might feel like when we finally face it.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the story of the prodigal son and one of its most powerful details: “when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him.”The son had not arrived. He had not spoken a word.He was still far away. And yet the father was already watching. Not waiting to confront. Not preparing a speech. But looking — with the kind of attention that only love produces. And when he saw him… he ran. This is the heart of the Gospel. God is not standing at a distance waiting for you to get everything right before you come back. He sees you now — even in the middle of the road you are on.And His response is not hesitation. It is pursuit. If you feel far from God today, this devotional is a reminder: you do not have to close the entire distance. Take the next step. He is already moving toward you.In This EpisodeThe significance of “a great way off” in Luke 15How the father’s response reveals the heart of GodWhy we often delay returning to GodThe difference between earning acceptance and receiving graceReflection QuestionsIs there something you’ve been delaying that you know you need to bring before God?What assumptions have you made about how God will respond to you? What would it look like to take one step toward Him today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Too Comfortable To Notice
Scripture:“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.” — Revelation 3:15Comfort is something we naturally seek.A comfortable routine. A steady rhythm. A sense of ease in life. And in many ways, comfort is a gift. But comfort in the wrong place can become dangerous. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jesus’ words to the church at Laodicea in Revelation 3. They were not openly rebellious. They had not abandoned their faith. They were simply… comfortable. Settled. Going through the motions without urgency or passion. And Jesus said that was not enough.Lukewarm faith can be deceptive. It feels safe. It feels stable. But it can quietly dull our awareness and distance our hearts from God.Like someone unaware of danger because they are at ease, we can drift without noticing. Comfort can replace conviction. Familiarity can replace closeness. This devotional is not a message of condemnation — it is a call to wake up. God is not looking for perfection, but He is looking for passion.Even a small, genuine fire is better than a comfortable indifference. In This EpisodeWhy comfort can become spiritually dangerousWhat Jesus meant by “lukewarm” in Revelation 3How familiarity can replace genuine closeness with GodRecognizing the difference between steady faith and settled indifferenceReflection QuestionsHas your faith become more routine than responsive?Where might comfort be dulling your spiritual awareness? What would it look like to pursue God with renewed hunger today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Duty Without Devotion
Scripture:“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” — Revelation 2:4It is possible to do the right things for the wrong reasons. There are seasons in life when we eagerly pursue something—a goal, a milestone, or an opportunity we have long anticipated. Our hearts are fully engaged. But over time, repetition can quietly replace passion. What once felt meaningful can begin to feel routine. The same can happen in our spiritual lives. In Revelation 2, Jesus speaks to the church at Ephesus. He commends their hard work, their endurance through difficulty, and their commitment to sound doctrine. From the outside, everything appeared strong.Yet Jesus says something striking: “I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.”They had not abandoned the work. They had not rejected the truth. But somewhere along the way, their affection for Christ had cooled. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the subtle danger of serving faithfully while slowly drifting in affection. It is possible for the hands to remain busy while the heart grows distant.Jesus does not call His people to simply do more. Instead, He calls them to remember, repent, and return—to rediscover the love that once shaped their devotion.Christ desires more than activity. He desires our hearts. In This EpisodeHow spiritual routine can replace spiritual passionWhy Jesus’ words to the church at Ephesus are so significantThe difference between serving Christ and loving ChristReturning to the warmth of our “first love” for the LordReflection QuestionsHas your walk with Christ begun to feel routine or mechanical? Are you serving God out of relationship—or simply responsibility? What might it look like to renew your affection for Christ today?ResourcesFind more devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Responding in Love
Scripture:“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” — Romans 13:10It does not take much for frustration to turn into hostility.Sometimes it happens in dramatic moments—like two drivers arguing on the road. What begins as a minor inconvenience can quickly escalate into anger, aggression, and danger. But the same pattern can appear in quieter ways. A careless comment. A misunderstanding. A moment of impatience. In those moments, it can feel natural to respond in kind—to match tone for tone, irritation for irritation.Yet Scripture calls believers to something different. In Romans 13:10, Paul reminds us that love does no harm to a neighbor. Love does not retaliate. It does not escalate conflict. Instead, love seeks restraint over revenge and patience over pride. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on what it means to respond with love in a world that often reacts with anger. Love is not passive or weak—it is a deliberate choice to act in ways that honor God and protect others from harm.Where love governs our responses, hostility loses its power. If you find yourself facing frustration, conflict, or offense today, this devotional invites you to pause and consider whether your response reflects reaction—or Christlike love.In This EpisodeHow quickly frustration can escalate into hostilityWhy Paul says love fulfills the lawThe difference between reacting in anger and responding in loveChoosing restraint, patience, and grace in everyday interactionsReflection QuestionsWhen do you most feel the temptation to respond with irritation or anger? How might love change the way you respond in those moments? What situation in your life today might God be inviting you to approach with greater patience and grace?ResourcesFind more devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. God Moves Hearts
Scripture:“Blessed be the Lord God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.” — Ezra 7:27Have you ever wondered what was going through the mind of a leader? There are moments when decisions made by those in authority feel confusing or difficult to understand. We may wish we could see behind the curtain of decision-making. We want clarity, explanations, and reassurance that things are being handled wisely. But Scripture reminds us of something greater than human leadership. In Ezra 7, a Persian king made a decision that allowed the rebuilding and beautifying of the house of the Lord. Ezra did not credit clever persuasion or political maneuvering. Instead, he gave praise to God, recognizing that the Lord had placed this decision in the king’s heart. This reminds us of a powerful truth: while leadership operates on human levels, authority ultimately rests under God’s sovereignty. He is able to move hearts, guide decisions, and accomplish His purposes—even through people who may not recognize Him.There will always be decisions we do not fully understand. But our confidence does not rest in human authority. It rests in the God who rules over it.If you find yourself frustrated or uncertain about leadership today, remember Ezra’s response: he blessed the Lord. He saw beyond the human decision to the divine hand at work.God is not limited by who sits in positions of authority. He is able to direct hearts according to His will.In This EpisodeHow Ezra recognized God’s hand behind a king’s decisionThe relationship between human leadership and God’s sovereigntyTrusting God even when we do not understand decisions around usShifting our focus from human authority to God’s controlReflection QuestionsWhere have leadership decisions caused frustration or confusion in your life? How might remembering God’s sovereignty change your perspective? What would it look like to trust that God can guide hearts and circumstances for His purposes?ResourcesFind more devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, be sure to subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. He Does Not Change
Scripture:“For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.” — Psalm 48:14Very few things in life last forever.Cars break down. Homes need repairs. Jobs change. People grow older. Even the strongest things in this world eventually wear out. The longer we live, the more we realize how temporary so much of life can feel. But Psalm 48 reminds us of something that stops us in our tracks: God is not like the things around us.He does not wear out.He does not fade.He does not change. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the steady truth that the same God who guided His people throughout history is still present and active today. What He was yesterday, He remains today — faithful, present, and leading. And the promise becomes even more personal: “He will be our guide even unto death.” Not only in easy seasons, but through uncertainty, loss, and every step of life’s journey. If life feels unsettled right now, this devotional is a reminder that while circumstances change, the One who guides us does not.In This EpisodeWhy so much of life feels temporaryThe unchanging nature of GodWhat it means for God to guide us through every seasonFinding stability in a world that constantly shiftsReflection QuestionsWhat has felt most uncertain or unstable in your life recently? How does remembering God’s unchanging character bring perspective to those situations?Where do you need to trust His guidance right now?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When the Past Still Pulls at Your Heart
Scripture:“Remember Lot’s wife.” — Luke 17:32Some things in life are easily forgotten. Others stay with us for years. In Luke 17:32, Jesus gives one of the shortest commands in all of Scripture: “Remember Lot’s wife.” Just three words — yet behind them is a powerful warning.Lot and his family were being rescued from a city under judgment. They were told clearly not to look back. But as they fled, Lot’s wife turned to look behind her — and in that moment, everything changed. Her glance backward revealed something deeper than curiosity. It revealed where her heart still lingered. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on why Jesus tells us to remember this moment. Following Christ requires forward movement. Yet sometimes we leave something behind physically while our hearts still long for it.Looking back with longing can stall our growth and divide our devotion. If there is something in your past that still pulls at your heart — a habit, a season, a relationship, or a mindset God has already called you away from — this devotional is a gentle reminder that God’s direction is always guided by His mercy. When He calls us forward, it is for our good.In This EpisodeWhy Jesus gives the command “Remember Lot’s wife”What Lot’s wife’s backward glance revealed about the heartHow nostalgia and familiarity can compete with obedienceTrusting that what God is leading us toward is better than what we are leaving behindReflection QuestionsIs there something in your past that still holds your affection? Are you moving forward physically but still looking back internally? How might trusting God’s direction help you release what He has called you to leave behind?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Aligned with God
Scripture:“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7Every day we make choices. What we allow into our minds. What influences we entertain. How we respond to situations placed before us.Some decisions feel small. Others feel weighty. Yet all of them quietly shape the direction of our lives. In James 4:7, we are given a simple but powerful instruction: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” The order matters.Victory over temptation does not begin with resisting the devil. It begins with submitting to God. Submission is not weakness — it is alignment. It is the daily choice to place ourselves under God’s authority and trust His wisdom above our own desires. When we live in surrender to God, we receive strength to resist what would pull us away from Him.Resisting temptation is often quiet and deliberate. It may look like choosing integrity over compromise, truth over deception, or patience over anger. And James gives us a promise: when we resist, the enemy flees. If you feel the pull of temptation or the weight of repeated struggle today, remember that the Christian life is not lived in our own strength. It is lived in dependence on God’s grace.Submission places us under His protection and within His strength. In This EpisodeWhy the order in James 4:7 mattersThe true meaning of submission to GodHow surrender strengthens resistance to temptationQuiet, everyday choices that reflect spiritual alignmentReflection QuestionsWhere might God be inviting you to submit your will more fully to Him?Are you trying to resist temptation without first aligning your heart with God?What daily choices could help you remain spiritually aligned?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Why are you sleeping?
Scripture:“So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.” — Jonah 1:6How could Jonah sleep in the middle of a violent storm? The ship was being tossed by waves. Sailors were terrified. Cargo was being thrown overboard. Yet Jonah was asleep below deck.It seems impossible. And yet spiritually, many of us understand exactly how it happens. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Jonah 1:6 and the powerful question the shipmaster asked: “What meanest thou, O sleeper?” Storms often reveal what we have been ignoring. Conviction. Spiritual drift. Delayed obedience. Moments when we avoid prayer or remain disengaged from what God is calling us to do.Sometimes the storm is not only around us — it is meant to wake us up.But the call to “arise” is not just a warning. It is also an invitation to hope. It is never too late to turn back to God. His mercy is not withheld from those who call upon Him, even in the middle of the storm. If you feel the weight of a storm in your life today, this devotional reminds us that the first response should not be avoidance — it should be calling upon the Lord.In This EpisodeWhy Jonah’s sleep in the storm is spiritually significantHow storms reveal what we have been ignoringThe danger of spiritual indifferenceThe hope found in responding to God’s call to ariseReflection QuestionsIs there an area of your life where you have been spiritually disengaged? What might God be revealing through the storms you are facing? What would it look like to “arise and call upon God” today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. The Beginning of Wisdom
Scripture:“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” — Proverbs 9:10Fear is something we all understand. For some, it’s heights. For others, speed.Or maybe the discomfort of not being able to see what’s ahead.Often, fear is tied to uncertainty — a lack of control or visibility. But when Scripture speaks of “the fear of the Lord,” it is not describing panic or dread. It is describing reverence. A deep awareness of who God is — His holiness, authority, power, and wisdom. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we explore what it truly means to fear the Lord and why wisdom begins there. Reverence reminds us that God sees what we cannot see. That His ways are higher. That His understanding surpasses ours.Wisdom begins when we stop assuming we know best.It begins when we trust the One who does.If you’re facing uncertainty or walking through a season where the path feels unclear, this devotional invites you to replace self-reliance with reverent trust. In This EpisodeThe difference between fear as panic and fear as reverenceWhy wisdom begins with acknowledging God’s authorityHow reverence shapes our decisions and responsesTrusting God when the path ahead feels darkReflection QuestionsWhere are you currently relying on your own understanding?Does your view of God reflect reverence — or familiarity without awe?How might acknowledging His authority change your next decision?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Sent With Purpose
Scripture:“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.” — John 1:6Have you ever walked into a room and felt completely alone?Surrounded by people…Conversations already happening…And then someone asks,“Who are you here with?”It’s a simple question. But it touches something deeper — belonging, identity, purpose. In John 1:6, before we are told what John the Baptist did, we are told who he was and where he came from: he was a man sent from God.John didn’t arrive by accident. He was sent with purpose. And in many ways, the same is true for us.The workplaces we enter. The homes we live in.The communities we move through.None of it is random. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on what it means to be sent — not self-appointed, not alone, but placed by God in the spaces we occupy.Even when we feel small in large rooms…Unknown in crowded places…Our presence is not insignificant. We belong to Christ. And we represent Him where we are.In This EpisodeThe significance of John 1:6Identity before activity — who we are before what we doWhy your placement is not accidentalLiving with awareness that you are sentReflection QuestionsWhere do you currently feel unnoticed or uncertain?Do you see your environment as random — or assigned? How might remembering you are “sent” change the way you show up today?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. When God's Way is Hard
Scripture:“The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms… for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.” — Hosea 1:2Sometimes God asks us to do things that do not make sense. Not reckless things. Not sinful things. But uncomfortable things.Costly things.Steps that stretch us beyond our understanding. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Hosea’s calling — a command that would have seemed confusing, painful, and even humiliating. His obedience became more than personal faithfulness; it became a living picture of God’s steadfast love toward a wandering people.Obedience is easy when it aligns with our plans. It is harder when it costs us comfort, clarity, or reputation.God does not always reveal the full plan before asking for trust. Sometimes He asks for the first step. Sometimes He asks for surrender before explanation. If you are facing a decision, a calling, or a step that feels unclear or uncomfortable, this devotional reminds us that faithfulness is not measured by comfort — it is measured by trust. In This EpisodeWhy obedience feels harder when it lacks clarityThe cost of faithful obedienceHow Hosea’s life reflected God’s steadfast loveTrusting God’s perspective when we cannot see the full pictureReflection QuestionsIs there an area where you are waiting for clarity before obeying? What fears or concerns make obedience feel costly right now?How might your obedience reflect trust in God’s character?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Godliness With Contentment
Scripture:“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” — 1 Timothy 6:6Comparison rarely announces itself. It begins quietly — noticing what someone else has. A new car. A renovated home. A promotion. A milestone. And before long, gratitude begins to fade and dissatisfaction begins to grow.In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Paul’s reminder that true gain is not found in accumulation, but in godliness with contentment.Contentment is not complacency. It is not a lack of ambition. It is trust — believing that what God has provided in this season is sufficient for this season. When our peace is tied to circumstances, it rises and falls with what others have. But when it is rooted in Christ, it steadies us. We begin to recognize provision instead of pressure. Blessings instead of deficits. If you’ve felt the subtle pull of comparison lately, this devotional is a gentle invitation back to contentment. In This EpisodeHow comparison quietly steals gratitudeThe difference between contentment and complacencyWhy godliness and contentment together are “great gain”Anchoring your peace in Christ instead of circumstancesReflection QuestionsWhere has comparison subtly shaped your thinking recently? Are you measuring your life against others — or against God’s faithfulness? What blessings in your current season might you be overlooking?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Not Finished Yet
Scripture:“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” — Psalm 138:8Have you ever felt like you’re not making progress in your walk with God?Like you should be further along by now?Like growth feels slow… or even stalled? In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Psalm 138:8 and the confidence David expresses in God’s ongoing work. Spiritual growth does not always feel dramatic. Sometimes it feels repetitive. Quiet. Gradual. But what God begins, He continues.“The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me.”This is not confidence in personal strength — it is confidence in God’s character. If you feel unfinished, uncertain, or discouraged in your growth, this devotional is a reminder that God does not abandon His work halfway through. His mercy endures. His purpose remains. And what concerns you still concerns Him.You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are not finished. In This EpisodeWhy spiritual growth can feel slow or stagnantWhat “The LORD will perfect” really meansThe difference between visible progress and faithful refinementFinding assurance in God’s enduring mercyReflection QuestionsWhere do you feel discouraged in your spiritual growth? Are you measuring progress by emotion — or by faithfulness? How might God still be shaping you in ways you cannot yet see?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Yet I will rejoice!
Scripture:“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines… yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” — Habakkuk 3:17–18It’s possible to have everything — and feel like you have nothing. And it’s possible to have nothing — and still overflow with gratitude. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we explore the difference between happiness and biblical joy. Happiness rises and falls with circumstances. Joy, however, is rooted in something deeper — the unchanging character of God.Habakkuk didn’t ignore hardship. He named it plainly: failing crops, empty fields, vanished livestock. Real loss. Real instability. And yet he declared, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD.”Joy is not denial. It is confidence. Not in outcomes — but in who God is.If your “fig tree” isn’t blossoming right now… if plans have unraveled or expectations have shifted… this devotional reminds us that joy does not require perfect circumstances. It requires trust in the One who remains steady when everything else feels uncertain. In This EpisodeThe difference between happiness and biblical joyWhy Habakkuk’s declaration is so radicalHow joy can coexist with hardshipAnchoring your heart in God’s character rather than outcomesReflection QuestionsIs your emotional stability tied primarily to your circumstances?Where have unmet expectations affected your joy? What would it look like to rejoice in the Lord — even before circumstances improve?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. Letting God Direct Your Steps
Scripture:“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9Most of us like control more than we admit. There’s something reassuring about being in the driver’s seat — setting the direction, managing the risks, anticipating the outcome. Planning isn’t wrong. Responsibility isn’t wrong. But sometimes our confidence in our ability to manage life quietly replaces our trust in God’s direction. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on Proverbs 16:9 and the tension between planning our way and trusting the Lord to direct our steps. When plans shift, outcomes change, or the road feels unfamiliar, we’re reminded that we were never meant to carry the full weight of control. This isn’t a rebuke. It’s an invitation. If you’re holding tightly to something today — a timeline, a decision, a desired outcome — this devotional is a gentle reminder that peace often comes not from gaining more control, but from placing deeper trust in the One who sees the whole path.In This EpisodeWhy the desire for control feels so reassuringThe difference between responsible planning and misplaced trustWhat Proverbs 16:9 teaches us about securityHow surrender leads to peace in uncertain seasonsReflection QuestionsWhere do you feel most uncomfortable releasing control? Are you trusting your ability to manage outcomes — or God’s ability to direct steps? What would it look like to loosen your grip in one specific area this week?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, subscribe to Digging Another Well so you can continue drawing from the well each week.Until next time — God bless.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. A Different Kind of Peace
Scripture:“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you…” — John 14:27 Peace is something we all long for — especially on hard days. But what if the peace Jesus offers isn’t like what the world promises? In this episode of Digging Another Well, we unpack what true biblical peace looks like: not the absence of struggle, but the presence of Christ. When life feels chaotic or overwhelming, His peace doesn’t depend on circumstances — it depends on His presence and our trust in Him.If you’re craving calm but life feels loud, this devotional will help refocus your heart on the steady peace that only Christ can give.In This EpisodeWhat Jesus meant when He said “my peace I give unto you”The difference between worldly peace and Christ’s peaceHow peace rooted in God remains in the middle of life’s chaosEncouragement for times when circumstances haven’t changedReflection QuestionsWhat are you currently looking to silence or soothe in your life? Are you seeking peace in circumstances… or in God’s presence? How might trusting Christ reshape your posture in the midst of chaos?ResourcesFind more devotionals and encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgSubscribe so you never miss a weekly reflection of hope and truth.Until next time — God Bless. Trusting in the Silence
Scripture: Psalm 62:1“Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.”Silence can feel unsettling. When prayers seem unanswered and circumstances remain unchanged, it is easy to wonder if God is distant. But Psalm 62 reminds us that silence is not absence — it is an invitation to trust. In this episode of Digging Another Well, we explore what it means to wait upon God. Waiting is not passive resignation. It is active confidence. It is the quiet posture of a soul that believes God is present and working, even when He is not speaking in the way we expect.Just as a wise leader sometimes steps back to allow growth, God often works in the quiet places of our lives — forming trust, strengthening faith, and refining our dependence on Him.If you are in a season where heaven feels silent, this devotional is for you.In This EpisodeWhy silence does not equal disengagementThe difference between passive waiting and active trustHow God uses quiet seasons to strengthen our faithEncouragement for those walking through unanswered prayersReflection QuestionsWhere in your life does God feel silent right now?Are you interpreting silence as absence — or as invitation? What would it look like to actively trust God in this season?ResourcesFind additional devotionals and biblical encouragement at:https://anotherwell.orgIf this episode encouraged you, be sure to subscribe to Digging Another Well so you never miss a new devotional.Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life.
