Hey y'all! As February comes closer and closer, we are almost to the 2 year anniversary of the Texas Winter Storm of 2021. Ya know, the one where Texas literally froze over, and the power grid failed, and then Ted Cruz flew to Cancun because why should he have to endure the mess that he was complicit in?? Yeah, that Winter Storm! Today's episode, we're talking about the lead up to the craziness of that week. We left off having a super fun time with the gals on galentines day! Until the power went out, and we were left in the freezing cold house. Today we are talking about how reality set in and the challenges we faced as college students at the University of Texas at Austin as we navigated the winter storm of February 2021. Listen to hear our experiences of leaving our homes, boiling water, staying uncertain of what we would do next if we lost power, and the forboding thought that this may be our reality for a while if power wasn't restored. New York City babey!! The city that never sleeps!!! We got to visit + work in the big apple last summer which was so much fun. But also, very weird, very memorable, and very funny.
