Bound in Ashes, Unbound in the Streets

This week’s episode of Bound in Ashes, Unbound in the Streets starts off surprisingly literary and somehow ends with us questioning the emotional stability of sports fans everywhere. We kick things off by discussing turning cremated remains into book ink, pressing ashes into book pages, and whether becoming part of someone’s personal library is deeply sentimental or just haunting in hardcover form. Naturally, this spirals into a round of Flame It or Frame It, where dignity once again takes a backseat. Then the episode takes a hard pivot straight into the chaos of the NBA Finals, where we unpack why sports fans celebrate championships by climbing traffic lights, setting couches on fire, and treating their own cities like a demolition derby. We also air our grievances about our mostly tragic football teams and the emotional damage that comes with lifelong sports loyalty. It’s part cremation innovation, part sports therapy session, and fully unhinged from start to finish.

    Please Don't Put Me There!

This week’s episode asks one very important question: how disrespectful is too disrespectful when it comes to someone’s ashes? From horrifying scattering scenarios to the absolute worst places and ways to handle cremains, we uncovered several things that should probably get you removed from the will immediately. We’re also joined by our hilarious friend Jackie, who shares her post-mortem wishes, proving once again that planning your death can actually be deeply entertaining. Plus, we spiral into discussing things we simply do not understand, including parklets, bike circuses, and other societal mysteries that apparently exist just to confuse us.

    Hot Dogs and Human Remains

We officially entered our video era, which means for the first time ever, you can physically watch us spiral in real time. The chaos kicked off with the story of someone putting ashes into a bowling ball, because apparently memorial jewelry was simply not committed enough. Did we do extensive research? Absolutely not. Did we immediately form strong opinions anyway? Of course. From there, things somehow escalated into stories about people spreading ashes at professional sporting events, which led to the very important debate of when a heartfelt tribute crosses the line into “security is escorting you out.” Respectful memorial or airborne biohazard? The answer may depend on wind speed.Naturally, the conversation then took a sharp and deeply unnecessary turn into discussing the exact moment it becomes socially unacceptable to take a bite of food while someone is trauma dumping or delivering piping hot gossip. Is maintaining eye contact while chewing supportive? Criminal? Society may never recover from this debate. We also played a round of Flame It or Frame It, where questionable ideas, questionable behavior, and probably questionable morals were all put on trial. It’s unserious. It’s judgmental. It’s somehow about grief and snack timing. And now, unfortunately for everyone involved, it’s all on video.
