Grimes - You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around (WIP Underground Remix by Don Relyea)
I've always liked Grimes music so I had to take a stab at a remix of the #GrimesArtKit stems for "You’ll Miss Me When I’m Not Around". I took a mid-tempo dubstep approach with dark synths, lots of bass and vocal filtering and dub delay with ring modulation.
-
Metamorphosis
Soaring synths and pads over big dubstep breaks and fills with a metal chorus over rock breaks and a dark eerie bass breakdown. It jumps between styles and sounds somehow seamlessly, for me it is about adapting to change in a changing world.
-
Dark forest theory
Mostly big bass track with a dubstep breakdown.
-
Escape Velocity
This song is about building the momentum to get out of a tough situation to build escape velocity to get to a better place. 4 on the floor bass kicks with swirling arpeggiated synths.
-
The Cosmos
Big dub style sub bass and roll delayed beats with a sampled (with permission) transmission from the cosmos by Jerome Sage Butler transitioning into old school big beats and mono synths.
-
Human Degradation Beyond Comprehension
Filtered bass leading into bid dubstep breaks with drum and bass backbeats and old sound bites from the early days of the church of the subgenus.
-
Introspection Of Isolation
Soothing synth chords and melodies over dark sub bass lead into key chorus over big beats and bass.
-
Re - Entry
Big bass and chill melodies about space ships re-entering the atmosphere.
-
FAR OUT
Dubstep beats with big dominator style synth sounds, hip hop breakdowns, punk backbeats and guitars about leaving this planet before it blows it self up.
-
Summertime
This one has lush pads and synths over big dubstep beats with some bleeps and bloops leading into big dark amen style drum and bass breakdown. This song reminds me of the good old days in the late 90s when I was a part-time junglist and the joy of Summertime outdoor activities during the day and...
-
The Journey
Dubstep breaks with big huge mono synth leads over guitars. This song is about going places, seeing and experiencing new things and how much foreign travel rocks. Missing it with all this Covid quarantine business.
-
Evilcomputergenius - Tears In The Rain

-
evilcomputergenius / 7Vials - Now I Am Become Death The Destroyer Of Worlds
This is one of my early experiments trying to fuse rock, industrial and Drum and Bass. Good dark and heavy track enjoy! Originally released on mp3.com early 2000s. The sample is Robert Oppenheimer quoting Vishnu while talking about his contribution to the development of the atomic bomb.

Evilcomputergenius - X - 1
I became a big fan of sci fi radio when people started putting mp3s of the Old Time Radio broadcasts on the air, X-1 and Dimension X were some of my favorites. I made this cut up Drum and Bass piece around the intro to the OTR X-1 show. This track is heavily filtered with a Mother of All…

Ropelab - Moonlit Produced by Don Relyea and Mark Rinewalt with guitars by Yoshi Suzuki and guest vocals by Vionna Chamberlain
-
evilcomputergenius - Bassgasm
This track is another one of my mp3.com tracks from the late 90's. All done with samplers and analog synths and crazy filtering from a MOTM modular.
-
evilcomputergenius - Clouds
Clouds is one of the first drum and bass experiments I did back in the late 90's with a live guitarist jamming over the top of it. This was released on mp3.com back in the very late 90's and charted there for a while.
-
evilcomputergenius- The Angel of Death
evilcomputergenius released the angel of death on mp3.com in the late 90's where it charted there for some time before the dot com bust. This version is slightly remastered from the original.
