The Enfield Poltergeist: A Voice Came From the Girl… But It Wasn’t Hers

Okay, let’s talk about the Enfield Poltergeist...definitely our creepiest episode yet. So creepy, in fact, we had to rerecord the end because our recording stopped 1/2 way through the episode! If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a very normal suburban house suddenly turned into the center of one of the most debated paranormal cases in the world… well… this is that story. In 1977, a single mom and her four kids were living in a modest council house in Enfield, England when things started getting… weird. At first it was small stuff.Knocking sounds in the walls, furniture shifting, toys moving when no one was touching them. You know… the kind of thing you might brush off as the house settling.Until it got serious.Soon police officers were being called to the home because chairs were sliding across the floor on their own. Journalists started showing up. Paranormal investigators moved in. And one of the Hodgson daughters began speaking in a deep, gravelly voice that she said belonged to a man who had died in the house years before.Which is… not exactly normal eleven-year-old behavior (I guess it depends on who you ask, lol). For the next 18 months, the house became a circus of investigators, skeptics, believers, reporters, and curious onlookers — all trying to figure out the same thing:Was this one of the most convincing paranormal cases ever recorded…or one of the most elaborate hoaxes? In this episode, we’re walking through the strange events that happened inside the house, the moments that made even skeptics pause, and how this case eventually inspired one of the greatest paranormal movies of all time! I'm still too scared to watch it - eek.The movie version is spooky…but the real story is a lot messier, weirder, and honestly a little harder to explain. So grab your headphones, get cozy, and come hang out with us while we dig into one of the most famous hauntings in paranormal history. And remember…listen responsibly. We’re here to tell the creepy stories — so you don’t have to go out and get haunted yourself. 👀

What’s Buried Beneath Lincoln Park? Chicago’s Forgotten Cemetery

Have you ever walked through a place that’s really pretty… like peaceful, sunny, people walking their dogs… but something about it just feels a little… off? That’s kind of how a lot of people describe Lincoln Park in Chicago.Today it’s one of the most popular spots in the city. There’s a zoo, running trails, gardens, families everywhere in the summer. It’s honestly a really beautiful park. But here’s the thing most people visiting have no idea about.Lincoln Park used to be a cemetery. Not a small one either. Back in the 1800s, this was one of the largest burial grounds in Chicago. Thousands of people were buried here — families, soldiers, victims of disease, everyday Chicagoans whose stories slowly faded into history.Eventually, as the city grew, officials decided they needed the land.So the graves were supposed to be moved - many of them were. But… not all of them.Over the years, construction crews working in the park have uncovered coffins, bones, and entire graves that were never relocated. In 1998 alone, workers discovered hundreds of human remains buried beneath what people now think of as just a regular city park. Which makes you wonder, if thousands of people were once laid to rest here… and some of them never left…What does that do to a place? People talk about strange feelings near the Couch Mausoleum, the last visible structure from the old cemetery.  And visitors sometimes say certain parts of the park just feel… heavier than others. Now, maybe that’s just the power of knowing the history.Or maybe when a place holds thousands of forgotten stories,a little bit of that energy sticks around.Either way…Once you know what used to be here, it’s really hard to walk through Lincoln Park the same way again.Grab your headphones and let's hang out!

The Sallie House; Midwest’s Most Disturbing Haunting

The scratches, shadow figures, the little girl who just wanted to play, and thedarker energy that may have been pretending to be something it wasn’t. EEK.We’ll walk through the real experiences of the families who lived there, the investigators who tried to challenge whatever was inside, and the chilling legend of “Sallie” —the ghostly child whose story doesn’t quite add up.Is it a misunderstood spirit? Something darker hiding behind a child’s voice? Or a house that feeds on attention? If you’ve ever laid in bed at night and wondered what it would feel like to realize… something else is in the room with you — this episode is for you.Grab your headphones and let's hang out!

What If Tragedy Sends Out a Signal? The Aberfan Disaster

This week, we’re taking you somewhere that doesn’t just live in history books — it lingers; Aberfan, South Wales.A tragedy that changed an entire village forever — the kind where grief will never fade with time. But here’s the part that might make you pause mid-laundry-fold or dog-walk:What if some people knew? Not in a dramatic, crystal-ball way, but a quiet dread. Bad dreams and kids saying things that didn’t make sense until suddenly...they did. That unsettling feeling in your chest when nothing is technically wrong… but something feels off. We’re unpacking: Why fear sometimes shows up without a clear invitation,The heartbreaking scale of loss that reshaped an entire community,The chilling wave of reported premonitions before the disaster,Whether children sense danger in ways adults have forgotten, and the very real creation of the British Premonitions Bureau (because yes, that became a thing)And what happens after tragedy? Do certain locations hold emotional fingerprints long after the headlines fade? This isn’t just a history lesson. It’s a conversation about connection, grief, and trauma.AND If something this big is about to happen…would anyone feel it coming?Grab your headphones, start your chores, and join us to find out!

Winchester Mystery House; What Was Sarah Thinking?

Disclaimer to our new listeners: We’re just as confused as you are about all this, but here’s what we think is going on…Today, we’re stumbling down the rabbit hole that is the Winchester Mystery House. This place is WILD.The whole story starts with Sarah Winchester—the widow of the Winchester rifle guy. Sarah, after some personal losses, apparently went a little… let’s say, architecturally off the rails. She was told that the ghosts of people killed by her husband's rifles were haunting her. So, she did what any of us would do, right? She built a giant, weird mansion with a bunch of bizarre rooms and secret staircases that go absolutely nowhere. We think this was all to appease the spirits? But… let’s be real. We’re still working through the details. What we do know: it’s a mansion that looks like it was built by someone who got directions from a ghost and then just winged it (so maybe the legend is true??)Throughout the episode, we try to piece it all together, but there are SO MANY QUESTIONS. Like, did the ghosts actually tell her to do this? Did she have a ghost architect? Did she just really like confusing staircases? (We’re betting on "all of the above.") We’re learning as we go here, so don't expect expert answers, BUT we do have a lot of … what the heck moments! So… come along for the ride and help us figure this out (we definitely don’t have it all figured out yet) And spoiler alert—we may or may not be haunted now…ooops!

The Mothman; A Warning, Not a Monster

Our very first episode of Don’t Get Haunted! We're diving headfirst into one of the creepiest true stories out there: The Mothman Prophecies. The winged, red-eyed mystery that popped up in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the 1960s and immediately made everyone go, “Absolutely not.”The reported sightings, the very unsettling encounters locals claimed to have, and all the strange things happening around town at the time. BUT things take a turn—because somehow this story gets tied to the tragic collapse of the Silver Bridge, along with rumors of prophetic dreams and warnings that may (or may not) have been ignored.Along the way, we question everything, spiral a little, and talk through some of the theories about what the Mothman actually was—ultra-terrestrial? Omen? Just a really unfortunate owl? We also look at how this whole thing cemented itself into pop culture and refuses to let us sleep peacefully. We don’t have answers (TBH, we never do).So hang out with us, get confused together, and decide for yourself how weird is too weird.Just PLEASE remember… don’t get haunted. 👀
