The Pattern Files is a work of fiction: a found-recording audio drama from the world of Don't Think Me Evil, the trilogy by Elwood West. Between May 2019 and March 2020, Asa Thibodeaux, a political science professor in Louisiana, started recording what he was noticing. Posts that vanished from rival platforms inside the same three days. A pyramid of black glass in Las Vegas with floors that were never on the plans. Passages that were opened and sealed again. Each recording is a chapter, hosted by Asa from a home study, a parked truck or wherever the signal is safest, with his producer Scriven and a Houston contractor who can read the grade of a thing from across the street. There are ten chapters and one opening recording. Start with The Invitation, then listen to Chapters 1 through 10 one after another. You do not need to have read the books. By the end, you may want to. This story is performed by a blended cast of human and AI voices. S
