Drömjournalen utilizes a diverse flora of looping tools, mainly serial looping pedals connected to every sound source. Although Drömjournalen is designed to be a live outfit, studio postproduction is also a creative component in the Drömjournalen aesthetic ecology. The moniker Drömjournalen (also known as dr. Mjournalen) refers to the dream diary of Swedish mystic and spiritual academic Emanuel Swedenborg, posthumously published in 1744 under the name Journal of Dreams (Drömboken or Swedenborgs drömmar).
