TBD makes it to Motherhorn to do all the things! They are looking for Willow’s little brother, Brosef. They are looking for Gleam’s sister. They are looking to help the people of the fey wild get out from under the shadow of the Hourglass Coven. And when they arrive at Motherhorn, they find out that they might be able to get Pinky’s rhythm back from the darklings that sold her a piece of pie.

True to their new slogan, TBD chooses death with the troupe of eight perytons that have been making Alagarthas’ life miserable in his attempt to light the beacons and get home. In this episode, we officially make the switch to Dungeons & Dragons 5.5 rules and the players get to try out some of the new mechanics and their new skills with the rule set change!

92. DDD The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Session 22
The beginning of this episode gets serious as we discuss the impact that ICE has had on the state of Minnesota. Parents use your discretion. The actual adventure starts around the 15 minute mark. In this episode TBD finds that they need to defend Amador, the giant dandelion knight, and Pollenella, the giant queen honey bee, from a rampaging Cyclops bee keeper! It all could have been avoided if they just had better communication skills, but as Lyrup realizes by the end, and all of TBD is convinced as well, it’s friendship or death!

91. DDD The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Session 21
TBD makes their way out of Thither and towards Yon. But before they leave Thither completely behind they run into another resident that seems to have a case of mistaken identity. Eventually the group does make it to Yon, with Squirt’s help through the mountains. Here they are introduced to the realm of Endelyn Moongrave in all the realm’s dark and stormy glory. The group also wastes no time in running into additional people in Yon, but it remains to be seen if they are friends or foes.

The breakfast dudes have to deal with Skabatha the hag’s really angry garden! But it’s not like a vegetable garden, and Pinky really has to show off her spells for the group to get through it. The group figures out where they want to go next, and Tude adopts a new coping mechanism for dealing with the group’s chaotic energy.

With the group divided in Skabatha’s stronghold of Loomlurch, Lyrup works on freeing the prisoners in the kitchen, while the entire rest of the party moves on to Skabatha’s bedroom to find their lost things. Lyrup is successful through stubborn tenacity - while the rest of TBD is successful through murder and thievery (is it still murder if they’re undead?). TBD does become reunited; just in time for another encounter with a hag!

The group tries to move through Skabatha’s fallen tree lair as quickly as they can while the hag is distracted. In this episode, we also level the characters to level 5 as they satisfied this adventures’ milestone leveling requirement of encountering a hag for the first time and living to tell the tale! After leveling, The Breakfast Dudes continue moving with purpose but they commit the ultimate D&D sin: they split the party!

TBD meets Will of the Feywild and his Getaway Gang! A number of new characters of interest are in the gang and the groups join forces to execute Will’s daring plan on Loomlurch, Skabatha’s home. TBD executes their part of the plan, with the usual hijinks and distractions the group is known for. And they are also successful in getting Skabatha’s attention, but the attention may not be the kind the group hoped for.

The group tangles with the invisible orc and defends the unicorn, Lamorna! After getting some useful information on the state of affairs in Prismeer (the realm made up of Hither, Thither, and Yon), and its different areas ruled by the Hour Glass Coven of hags, the group sets off again to meet up with Will and his Getaway Gang!

Wow it’s been a while! The group talks to a kind stranger in a cave. They talk to a kind centaur in a forest. And then they head off to talk to who they hope are kind children that can help The Breakfast Dudes deal with Skabatha, or Granny Nightshade as she is known in these parts. But instead the group meets a very unkind orc!

The Breakfast Dudes return to the fey wild and get thrown right back into the action as the time frozen goats resume their charge! The players need some reminding on mechanics of their classes but they get there eventually! After dealing with the goats/red caps, the pixies give TBD a general direction to go as TBD continues their quest to find their lost things! TBD gets an unexpected visit from Nictoo, the Winter Wizard! TBD makes a deal with Bavlorna, with some consequences that will come up later. They then devise a plan do escape Hither with some new allies, rescue others, and travel to Thither where Skabatha is now the group’s focus. The Breakfast Dudes make falling out of a tree look easy.

The group manages to do some chores for Bavlorna without Pinky doing her chores dance. Both Willow and Lyrup find something they really really want in Bavlorna’s cottage, but only one of them is successful. The Breakfast Dudes also realize that time waits for no one, and things transpired while they were in Downfall’s jail.

TBD enters Bavlorna’s cottage again. Solitude stays outside as everyone is still supposed to think he is dead after the trial by combat. Pinky, Lyrup, and Willow bravely venture back into the cottage in the middle of the lake. The group meets other residents of the cottage and get another chance to reach a deal with the hag Bavlorna. But Lyrup is torn as she finds the location of their missing items.

The group survives, but where they wake up is not the best of situations. TBD gets a close and personal look at what “justice” looks like in Downfall after their disastrous first encounter with the hag Bavlorna.

The Breakfast Dudes sneak into Bavlorna’s cottage which rests in the lake in the middle of Downfall. They begin searching for the various lost things of members of the party and newly met individuals. This is where the group learns the hard way that there are consequences for their actions.

After shopping for longer than they probably should have, the group travels through the town of Downfall to find out more about the revolution before confronting Bavlorna, the hag and ruler of these swamp lands. Along the way they meet a depressed musician that they may help. TBD also gets exposed to what a “revolution” looks like in Downfall and they are not impressed.

After mourning the loss of the fire babies, the group explores more of Downfall. They meet a new, but rather creepy ally surrounded by talking severed heads. They meet the king! But more importantly, they finally agree on a group name.

The to be named group navigates the swamp of Hither. They encounter a number of the strange residents of this swamp land held in perpetual twilight. On the way to Downfall, the home of the hag Bavlorna, the group addresses a critical issue by naming the adopted giant snail that they took from the harengons that tried to rob them. This episode also has fire babies.

The group gives a master class in interrogation as they get information from the captured rabbit people. They learn a lot about where to find the hag Bavlorna, and the negative impact she has had on the land since she took over.

Our new group of adventurers leave the carnival behind as they step into the Feywild! This new environment and land will take some getting used to as it is a hot and dark swamp compared to the bright and festive carnival that the group was in previously. The group also encounters some of the natives, who are somewhat musically inclined.

The group of young adventurers decide to participate in a cupcake eating contest before going for a ride through the air on giant dragon flies! After getting their fill of cupcakes, they also meet a halfling bard that points them in the direction to find their lost things, and the direction to also become heroes!

Our new heroes, Lyrup, Willow, Pinky, and Tude grab their tickets and enter into the Witchlight carnival! While Lyrup is directional challenged, the group does make their way to a number of different events in the carnival as they look for the things (and people) that they had lost the last time they were here all those years ago.

After the test of the Muskelator results in a disaster, the group splits up with different approaches to get into Mount Olympus that has now been taken over by the Fireforge dwarves. Fat Deb reveals how terrible she is at impersonations, Meme shows how far she’s willing to go to save her friends, and Gallexy throws caution to the wind as she wets herself once again braving another trip on the Muskelator. This all leads to running into a very powerful enemy.

Mount Olympus is a very different place compared to the last time the three musketeers were there. The group explores the small town Fizzlebottom, which rests at the foot of the mountain, and they run into an old acquaintance. The group gets into a fist fight, and then they decide testing out the Muskelators again is a terrific idea.

The group reaches Miam, the once great capital city of the human kingdom. But it has since been abandoned after Christopherson’s demon infestation took over the city. The group prepares to get everyone back to Mount Olympus over the next couple of days, while avoiding the city as much as they can.

The group travels as quickly as they can away from the fight with the Lich and the Death Knight. But now it’s a race against time as Fat Deb, Gallexy, and Meme dash with the other musketeers (and the dozen or so Atlantean orphans) off the island before it explodes!

It’s a fight with a Lich and a Death Knight! The group hesitates on whether or not they should stay or run as their goal had always been to just rescue the souls of Betha and Blondie. The problem is that the souls are trapped in small cages that hang from the belts of the powerful undead creatures.

The group finally runs into Jed and Guy. Now they have to decide who will stay and who will go as they don’t have enough time to rescue the orphans of Atlantis, rescue Blondie and Betha’s souls, and keep everyone together. Also, Fat Deb finds a love interest.

After helping the children below the city of Atlantis, the three musketeers go deeper and find the jail cells that were holding Jed and Guy. While down in the depths, Meme runs into an unexpected ally from the past, but the ally isn’t the same as before. Time is running is out as the island’s nuclear core is overheating and will explode unless our heroes can figure out a way to stop it.

They head towards the maintenance area of the city as that appears to be where Jed and Guy are captured. On the way there, the group finally sees some people. But the team quickly determines that they want nothing to do with them.

The group enters the city of Atlantis looking for someone, or something, that can give them clues on where to go to find the souls of Blondie and Betha. This area of the city Ian is not as familiar with and leads our heroes deeper into the metropolis while Meme becomes obsessed with a cat. Surprises happen along the way, but one question keeps coming up, where is everyone?

The group makes a plan! Then they decide against it, and then they go with the original plan! Fat Deb, Meme, and Gallexsy decide on a course that will change the fate of Kyleland forever! With Ian, the Atlantean soldier, Boom, and Mr. Bokbok, the three musketeers head off in the direction that they all think is probably the right plan… maybe.
