    Racism in the California Suburbs

For many, it's hard to believe that a place like southern California still struggles with racism in its cities. However, this is the case everywhere, and largely within its suburban areas. Our own town of Thousand Oaks, CA has suffered from these incidences for years, but on February 12th an outside organized Neo-Nazi group came to recruit and promote beliefs of white supremacy. Followed by a lackluster response by the City Council, this has led to discussions and outrage by the community for the need to tackle the problem of racism within the town. We dive into the anti-hate resolution brought forward by one of the council members, as well as whether hate speech can be legally prosecuted.
