Comfort Movies: Legally Blonde (The Musical)
This week is Emily's choice! The actual comfort movie is the pro shot of Legally Blonde The Musical, but we ended up talking about the movie too. In this episode we meander through all the characters, and we talk a bit about the staging and each of the songs. Incredible soundtrack, great...
-
Moxie (review and discussion)
cw: This episode contains mentions of rape When we saw the trailer for this movie, we knew that we wanted to review it for this podcast. It seemed like the classic spunky teen movie that also tries to tackle some big topics. And we gotta say, we enjoyed ourselves! We got to meet a strong cast of...
-
Glee S2e22: New York
That's a wrap on Glee Season 2! And what a disappointing wrap it is. Our characters traipse around New York in a fantastical fever dream of the city and cause buttloads of secondhand embarrassment for us, the viewers. The Glee club decides to take their whole original song thing to Nationals…

Glee S2e21: The Funeral
We were dreading watching this episode... and then we were dreading recording this podcast... because this episode is just so sad. RIP Jean <3 But worry not! This episode also contains the usual rage-inducing moments, like the stupid Finn/Quinn breakup and basically everything that Jesse St.…

Glee S2e20: Prom Queen
Ah, the event we've been building up to for several episodes now: PROM!!! In an unexpected turn of events, Jesse St. James returns; and in a very expected turn of events, the love square of Jesse, Rachel, Finn, and Quinn is unbelievably annoying to watch. It's a little silly that the New…

Glee S2e19: Rumours
What we learned during this Fleetwood Mac episode is that we know very little about Fleetwood Mac. Also that the Glee club SUCKS!!! (Except Sam, Kurt, and Quinn in this episode, who were just being normal and awesome.) There are too many messy love triangles that we do not care about, Brittany is…

Glee S2e18: Born This Way (ft. Tara)
WOW this is a long-ass episode. How is it even this long? On network TV??? We get our usual bits of W*ll being an absolute villain, Kurt flooring us with his never-ending strength, Santana and Karofsky's Bully Whips (lmao), the ICONIC but problematic Born This Way shirts, and even a sprinkle of...
-
Glee S2e17: A Night of Neglect
As per usual, W*ll does something useless and executes the dumbest possible fundraiser idea for this club. Ms. Tina Cohen-Chang was ROBBED AGAIN, and Mike Chang makes a very strange song selection for his dance solo. But at least Mercedes finally gets some juice—and the best song. Sue never fails...
-
Glee S2e16: Original Song
We're finally at the Regionals episode and... this? Is this what we were waiting for??? All the characters start going wild (perhaps the beginning of the end for Blaine and Quinn) and there are lots of great songs, NONE of which are performed at Regionals. Sigh. Anyway, we still got to enjoy some...
-
Glee S2e15: Sexy
Ugh, this could be it... this episode might be the beginning of the end for Blaine. His singing sounds kinda weird in this ep, and he stomps all over the Hummels' boundaries. Luckily, MVP Burt was there to save the day but Blaine... you're on thin ice. Also in this episode: W*ll somehow pulls…
more -
Glee S2e14: Blame It on the Alcohol
We appreciate the simplicity of this episode--it had one main storyline and some small tangential ones, all very related to alcohol. But of course, our least fav Spanish teacher continues to be the most useless man alive. Rachel is off being the worst. Ryan Murphy lurks behind his characters as a...
-
Glee S2e13: Comeback
In this episode we see Sue being WILDLY problematic but Jane being incredible, Ashley Fink doing the absolute most with Lauren Zizes, and Lea finally putting on a good performance?? But only because it was a Broadway song. And Amber Riley outsings her anyhow. We're heartbroken for Sam and…
more -
Glee S2e12: Silly Love Songs
Give this episode a listen if you want to hear Emily's opinion of Rachel Berry's "Firework" deteriorate in the span of an hour! And also if you want to hear us gush about the other great musical numbers, Darren Criss' acting (as usual), and Lauren Zizes. With a big absence of Will Schuester in…
more -
Glee S2e11: The Sue Sylvester Shuffle
We're back after a long holiday break! What an enjoyable episode that we... spent an hour ripping apart? We realized that the iconicity of this episode was protecting us from the dumpster fire that is the plot--apparently the writers don't know how people work. Here we remember that football is...
-
Glee S2e10: A Very Glee Christmas
Happy Christmas (and literally no other holiday) from the cast of Glee! We have expanded from a Will and Rachel hate podcast into a Will, Rachel, and Ryan Murphy hate podcast. And also maybe a Darren Criss fan podcast.
-
Glee S2e9: Special Education
Another iconic, drama-filled episode of Glee. In this podcast we gush over Darren Criss, professional actor, for acting. We try to work through the web of drama that Rachel has spun for herself. As usual, we wish anyone but Finchel would get some love from the writers. And after all that, we're...
-
Glee S2e8: Furt (ft. Vaish)
Iconic episode :') Give it a listen to hear some strong thoughts about FaBerry (Quinn Fabray + Rachel Berry), the possibility of growing back your virginity, and the difference between absinthe and abstinence. Plus our comments on the episode, of course.
-
Glee S2e7: The Substitute
¡Hola clase! We talk about how Gwyneth is a star but Holly has some wasted potential as a character. Sue is a tyrannical icon, Kurt needs to chill a bit, Mercedes deserves better, Terry probably deserves better, and as usual Will deserves nothing. This ep is home to so many iconic Glee...
-
Glee S2e6: Never Been Kissed
Will we ever finish an episode without a long list of reasons that Will Schuester is terrible? Will Coach Beiste ever catch a break? Where does this version of Blaine go in later seasons? All questions with painful, painful answers--questions that we ask ourselves in this ep!
-
Glee S2e5: The Rocky Horror Glee Show
The creators already had a FANTASTIC lineup of songs ready for them; couldn't they come up with something better than a coming-of-age teen movie centering around the greasiest Spanish teacher around??? Gross. This is another W*ll Schu*ster hate episode >:(
-
Glee S2e4: Duets (ft. Vaish)
Our guest star Vaish is back to comment on this iconic ep with us. So many great numbers this week wow.... but of course there were still some bleh and infuriating ones. You can probably guess which ones are which, but give it a listen to find out for sure!!
-
Glee S2e3: Grilled Cheesus (ft. Vaish)
Arguably the worst episode of the season... just filled with some more clumsy handling of very loaded topics... but on the bright side we have a guest this week!!!! Pls welcome Vaish to the podcast!!!!!!!!!!! Who am I talking to? Nobody listens to this podcast. Bye!
-
Glee S2e2: Britney/Brittany
Iconic episode. We <3 Heather. We <3 Naya. We hate Rachel and Will, with every fiber of our beings. Enjoy!
-
Glee S2e1: Audition
New segment!! We dive right into Glee Season 2, and there's already lots of drama and stupidity packed into this first ep. We hope you're ready to join us in 1) getting way too invested and 2) cringing so hard it hurts. (P.S. apologies for the noisy audio... we'll sort it out for next episode)
-
ATLA the remix (Fire): Sozin's Comet
Final ep of ATLA the remix :'((( As usual, we are cyberbullies and really picked these four episodes apart, but we both agree that this is a great finale to the series (and to this era of our podcast). We love ATLA <3
-
ATLA the remix (Fire): The Headband, The Beach
Some of our fav episodes in the whole series!! A pretty casual conversation, especially with The Headband, but lots of interesting points came up! Also apologies for background noise--Claire's roommates were having a lit game night.
-
ATLA the remix (Fire): The Avatar and the Firelord, The Puppetmaster
An okay episode and an amazing episode, in our opinions. (Even though our rankings ended up being all over the place.) Listen to find out which is which!! hehehehehheh
-
ATLA the remix (Fire): Boiling Rock, Southern Raiders
Finishing out our fake Bottom 4! Weirdly nothing too juicy to say about Boiling Rock, but give this episode a listen if you want to hear our alternate ending for Southern Raiders :o
-
BONUS: Netflix ATLA adaptation/LoK rant
We accidentally POPPED OFF while airing some of our grievances about the Netflix ATLA adaptation and about Legend of Korra... It was such a long discussion that we decided to make it into its own mini-episode!
-
ATLA the remix (Fire): Day of Black Sun, Firebending Masters
Finally starting Book 3! We got tired of watching our low-ranked episodes so we switched up the format ~just~ a bit to talk about episodes that we wanted to talk about.
-
ATLA the remix (Earth): Cave of Two Lovers, Crossroads of Destiny
Finishing up with the best of Book 2! Kinda makes us laugh that we ended up with these 2 eps, but they actually ended up being pretty good bookends of each other!
-
ATLA the remix (Earth): Avatar Day, The Drill
Feeling a little embarrassed about our Top 4 ranking... these two episodes were silly and fun but overall not exceptional. But def give this episode a listen if you want to hear how Emily THOUGHT 'serpent' was spelled.
-
ATLA the remix (Earth): Tales of Ba Sing Se, Lake Laogai
Neither top 4 nor bottom 4, just two episodes that we wanted to talk about. And glad we did bc they were quite enjoyable!
-
ATLA the remix (Earth): City of Walls and Secrets, The Library
Finishing off Book 2 bottom four... we're not excited to be swept up in the corruption of Ba Sing Se or to be facing off with Wan Shi Tong. Not to mention losing Appa :(((
-
ATLA the remix (Earth): The Avatar State, The Earth King
Bottom 2 episodes of Book 2. Found ourselves with not much to say about the episodes themselves because... these episodes are truly lacking. But somehow we still went over an hour talking about this and that!
-
ATLA the remix (Water): The Blue Spirit, Siege of the North
And that's a wrap on Book 1! Ultra long episode this time around--there's just too many amazing things to talk about with these 3 episodes!
-
ATLA the remix (Water): Avatar Roku, The Deserter
Moving on to our top 4 episodes of Book 1! Much easier to talk about than our bottom 4... lol. 2 great Zhao episodes!
-
ATLA the remix (Water): Imprisoned, Jet
Trying to get better at keeping our conversations aligned with the remix theme... but mostly just us saying things.
-
ATLA the remix (Water): The Fortuneteller, Bato of the Water Tribe
Just two atla lovers discussing 2 episodes at a time in a super confusing order! No real concept, just atla.
-
The Half of It (review and discussion)
We had such high hopes and ended up pretty disappointed, both with the movie itself and the reviews we read afterward... so here is basically an hour of us being cyberbullies. We do say some good stuff too though!

Update regarding Terrace House Tokyo episodes
Updates and reflections regarding recent events. Rest in peace Kimura Hana.

Terrace House Tokyo P3 E30
so... tired.... after watching this episode... emotionally drained... full of anger....... but on the bright side this might be the most reliable audio we've ever had! pros and cons amirite
-
Terrace House Tokyo P3 E29
Practically just an episode recap because the members are going all out! They're laying out the drama pretty plainly for us, so we have no deep insights. As usual, please excuse our audio problems... glitches and out-of-sync in this ep... pls someone help us... our audio makes us sad :((
-
Terrace House Tokyo P3 E27, 28
2 eps for the price of 1 bc the drama sucked us in... new members are really starting to make waves in the house. Some more than others. Please forgive the classic spotty audio and hope you enjoy!
-
Terrace House Tokyo P3 E26
Thought we wouldn't have much to say about Peppe's departure and the 3 new members, but we ended up with a pretty long episode! Audio is a little suspicious at the beginning but it does get better. Enjoy!
-
Terrace House Tokyo P3 E25
Our discussion after watching TH Tokyo E25! All the audio is either unintelligible or out of sync so please enjoy piecing our thoughts together while you listen!
