We All Have Withers
Humans, dogs and horses all have withers. In this context we are speaking about the upper thoracic part of the spine. In humans it is constantly under stress from the forward head posture created from all of our work down in front of us and cell phones. It's Not Only Size That Matters
It is not only size that matters when dealing with animals. A very large dog requires different approaches in handling, supporting and adjusting compared to a very small dog. Same with ponies versus a draft horse. Saftey of both the animal and the practitioner always have to be taken into affect. Any animal you have the pleasure to work with must be given the attention it needs that day it is in front of you. It doesn't matter what the animal was like last week or even yesterday. In honor of our friend and colleague who passed away this week, Tom Neuman, thank you for introducing us and the so many clients to the world of healing thru red light. We first met Tom at the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. He dedicated his life to making quality red light products for the animal and human world. First time we heard about forward moving we were booking a horse adventure in France and the owner of the company we booked thru kept saying that the horses were very forward moving.
