    Functional disorders: From symptoms to solutions - with professor Judith Rosmalen and Dr. Karen Kallesøe - Chapter 1

    Welcome back to the third episode of ESCAP on air. At ESCAP in Copenhagen 2023, we invited two leading researchers in functional disorders, Judith Rosmalen and Karen Kallesøe, for a conversation about their area of expertise. Judith is a professor in psychosomatic illnesses at the University of Groningen, and Karen is a doctor working in the functional team and research section at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Aarhus. The interview is divided into two chapters. In the first, we hear our guests talk about functional disorders in general, and in the second, they delve deeper into the challenges of researching functional disorders, as well as the challenges that lie ahead on the horizon.     Frontiers of schizophrenia: Hypotheses and new treatments - with Prof. Christoph Correll and Prof. Anne Katrine Pagsberg - Chapter 1

For this episode we interviewed Professor Christoph Correll and Professor Anne Katrine Pagsberg about the current leading hypetheses explaining schizophrenia as well as the frontiers of treatment. For the first time in several decades, we are getting close to a pharmaceutical alternative to postsynaptic dopamin blockade and we are introduced to these new pharmaceuticals. Professor Christoph Correll is affiliated with Charité University in Berlin and is among the top 1% most cited researchers in psychiatry worldwide across various fields. Professor Anne Katrine Pagsberg works at the University of Copenhagen and is particularly known for her work in researching and implementing treatments for young people with first-episode psychosis through the OPUS program.
