    Summer in the City

Almost immediately after releasing The Mason Storm Mixtape in 2003, Eternal stepped away from music completely. After some persuasion from friend Montana Blak, along with a different hip-hop scene in Philly from a few years before, E-Life started toying around in the studio again. Over the next 10 years he would be apart of Montana's Liberty City Cartel, linked up with newcomer LoyaL and his Reality Music camp, co-founded Illadelph.com as marketing and promotional outlet for Philadelphia's arts on the brink. By 2013 he was starting a new connection with members of The Shed Jam, notably a artist named Jonny On The Spot (JOTS). In the midst of these alliances, Eternal still kept tinkering with new songs, new producers, recording styles and overall direction of his work as well as developing for his own Move Right Entertainment label. Jewel of Denial is chronological music review of a decade from his return to the mic leading up to the beginning stages of his next album, #manonfire, due late 2015 on Move Right.

Flashback to 2001, E-Life produced this underground anthem paying homage to the hip-hop pioneers and culture from his hometown of Philadelphia. The song is from his debut album, The Basics. cover photo by Silk Kaya
