EUROPEAN CONNECTIONS

Leonardo da Vinci has always attracted the students' fantasy: his studyings and his inventions have proved, through the centuries, the genius ability to carefully observe the natural phenomena and the important solutions he proposed to overcome the difficulties his contemporaries found impossible to face.His genius wandered from poetry to painting, to engineering and building startegies. His flying machines  have a fascinating charme and they are valid yet. All together, studying his solutions might enrich our students today....

Laura Pausini is a really famous singer and her powerful voice has enchanted people all around the world. Her career started really early but she has been able to travel the world and take part in extremely interesting shows. Two girls have tried to penetrate her secrets and to share them with us all

Two boys have worked around a very famous influencer who had to revise her targets during last year: Ms Chiara Ferragni.Plenty of youngsters are infuelced by these characters and they are convinced that life can give you all the best with a relly small effort, money comes from everywhere and no effort is asked to reach one's own targets....This is not true and the Ferragni late events in life are a testimony of it.

Two girls are dealing with Enzo Ferrari and his ideas about racing cars, producing them and organizing international competitions. His life was dedicated to his Scuderia and plenty of people admired his cars. He was successful but his life was filled by different difficult moments. He had to evercome  personal tragedies as well as the loss of some important colleagues who had helped the growth of his activities. 

Interviewing a genius living in the past might be challenging... but Angela was able to give him a good voice and answered all the questions her Spanish friend asked. They awakened our students' curiosity and studying the past became easier than before.

Some of the students were really interested in education and began to  reflect on Maria Montessori, the Italian pedagogist, first doctor in Italy, who upset the education methods and placed the child at the centre of the experience, the teacher was only a director, preparing a stimulating environment which would give the child a strong sense of awareness and self-confidence.

The Italian students in Istituto Comprensivo Sacconi and their friends from Santa Maria de Huerva in SPAIN, have cooperated to produce some impossible interviews.They start  dealing with Bebe Vio, a fantastic champion who loves fencing but also running and dancing. She is a super-girl who has changed many people's lives with her good disposition, her  humor and her strength.Plenty of disabled children are following her example and try to overcome their disabilities, finding new targets... a new life!

Going to school might be a very tiring duty.The students are curious to know how their new friends' school day is organized, if their lessons are more varied or better distributed and if the rules to follow in their school are lighter or less imposing.Each one discovers that no school is free of rules. Some of the students feel the rules light while others consider the same extremely heavy and cumbersome!!!

Food is always a good topic to deal with, some students are really eager to know more about the eating habits of their new friends... being far from home implies the necessity to adapt and discover new flavors, dishes and smells. Sometimes these changes might be challenging.Some teenagers find it difficult to adapt and taste new specialities while others are looking for new experiences... let's enjoy their conversations!

Talking about personal lives is always the simplest way to find a connection: students have a limited number of common experiences, they try to find the common fields and build their relationship from there... It is quite cklear listening to their conversations! Enjoy!

Becoming friends needs to open up and define your habits and the ones in the place you leave. Some girls want to know more about the new friend's town, school and free time...Their conversations can be listened to, it seems that similar desires and needs  are emerging! 

Some Polish and Italian girls reflect on the differences between their cultures, they have met for few days but their opinions are quite clear....Enjoy our teenagers conversations!

School rules in class 1E... the younger students are happy to stay in a new school and they feel grown up: they want to define the new rules to follow in class. They are sharing them with the listeners!

School and sports are deeply linked. One of the most loved subjects at school is sport and two students ask each other more about their chances to practice sport at each other's school.... 

Visiting the Holdecker Middleschule, one of the comparison every student makes is linked to each schoolday, its rhythms, the series of lessons and the break times. How long is each teaching period? Which subjects are studied and how long for? These were common questions, the answers can be heard in the following podcast.

The Italian students in Bergrheinfeld were curious to know which their new friends' eating habits were so they kept asking questions....

Some of the students visiting the Holdecker Mittelschule in Bergrheinfeld took care of the way their German colleagues paid attention to the environment and its preservation. They talked about the habits and the initiatives they took part in.

Some students from I.C. Sacconi - Tarquinia, could visit the Holdecker Mittelschule in Bergrheinfeld -Germany thanks to the NewgenerationEU  PNRR ERASMUS+ funding. Their experience has been recorded and shared in the following podcasts

Knowing Prague, its history and its landmarks,was a deeply touching experience. The students enjoyed discovering the town with their new friends and tasted some of the delicatessen of the place.Most of them will keep really deep memories of this experience and are grateful for the attentions they received. Opening their minds to different cultures, habits and organizations will help the students understand how important it is to share and compare, to grow and improve.

Thestudents from class 1 in Middle school inside IC Sacconi have experienced a mobility to Spain and during that interesting activity they interviewed and recorded their talks ... now they share their  talks with us all!  Enjoy

For the sudents coming from IC SACCONI who went to visit Czech Republic, the mobility was an enjoyable experience and they keep amazing memories of it.The students had previously met the Czech ones during their visit to Tarquinia, so their  meeting again and staying together was more relaxed and fruitful. The families and the teachers report a positive and fruitful experience which contributed to increase the motivation to study and improve the students' personal skills. These results were specially evident for the most reserved and shy students.

During the Erasmus+ projects activities performed for the 2024-1-IT02-KA121-SCH-000221174, a group of students and teachers visited Lithuania and were hosted by  the families of students from the Vytauto Didziojo universiteto klasikinio ugdymo Mokykla in KAUNAS. They spent a very interesting and amazing time there with their new friends. Their staying together  meant to open their minds and hearts to new experiences, a different series of habits and a new culture,  different lessons style and a new organization... their chats are recorded here....

Peace is necessary, some students in class 3B have worked on it remembering Sadako Sasaki and Anne Frank during the Arts lessons... they hve ideated a  dialogue to honour their memory....

Czech, Italian, Greek and Lithuanian stdents exchange impressions and curiosities ....

Italian, Greek, Lithuanian and Czech students met in Tarquinia and they had a lot of different moments to share emotion, opinions, ideas and games. We captured and recorded some of their ideas and opinions and we are sharing them....

Curiosity is the basic ingredient to widen one's knowledge... and the students abroad are really curious.They interview their fellows in order to understand which are the common habits and  traditions, this is is what they share with us all!

The youngest students of IC Sacconi have sent their message to the listeners: we can make a better world... let's find the right words and let's use them.Words are important, they can generate strong feelings, let's find those which help us feel better.We can start from now, let's train a little bit!!!It is a good idea to start our training, we could feel better and could help those around us  to feel the same....

The Erasmus+ project has allowed some of the students in IC Sacconi to live  a new experience: they visited the Greek 4th High School in Petroupolis, in Athens.Their visit  brought to compare the different systems, the following are their reports...

Water is the basis of life, no life can be without water on Earth... in class 2A they have studied and discussed its cycle... the students want to share their thoughts with the listeners...

During this school year (24_25) in IC SACCONI plenty of projects were completed. One of the first was GEOMETRY IN ACTION  aimed at producing some hands-on activities, helping understand and memorize simple geometry and its basic rules... Some students could try and enjot these activities, some others couldn't but they were curious...  You can hear some of the dialogues which took place in the corridors of the school... 

In class 2E some students have debated comparing different school systems, looking for the best one to help a student reach his targets.Some of the students were considering a school model which allows you to choose the subjects to study, the more compliant ones with the future specializing study path each single student decides to follow.The other group of students considers it important  to have a variety of subjects which allow you to speculate and widen your general knowledge, which gives you the chance to increase your awareness of the world laws, on top of the basic knowledge you need to  achieve your goals...Interesting!! Don't you think so?

Class 3e in Junior Secondary School gives us examples of correct behaviour to follow using internet and keeping safe.An interesting work to share with all of you!

Class 3B in Istituto Comprensivo "Ettore Sacconi"   has recorded their last impossible interview wit Mr Mandela... they are sharingt their opinions with us!

Some students in class 3E   have decided to share their  thoughts about  a safer way to use INTERNET,  enjoy!

The students  class 2E in Istituto Comprensivo Sacconi are meeting and one of them is relying on some news he read, the group tries to persuade him that something might be wrong...

The organization of the Estonian school has been told in Estonian language too, for those who speak that language is a chance to feel at home!

Schooldays are different in any country... our students asked questions to the schools around Europe and the Estonians from Kärla School in Saanemaa answered and gave us the Estonina version of the podcast too...

The students are curious, they would like to know which traditions and habits are common between them....

The students, while in France, ask their mates the ways they follow to help environment and contain pollution...

The Italian students would like to know how their French friends cope with inclusion at school...

The Italian students have been hosted by the French families in Volx and there they have met the students attending the Collège Andre Ailhaud in Volx. Their conversations and comparisons have been  collected in the following podcasts...    

The students point out the hard work the visited school did to underline the importance of inclusion and their attention to their country history, not to mention the importance of feelings to describe one's emotions....a very interesting  approach to each person.

The students are  concerned about the environment and its preservation. They are also intrigued by the inclusive way the Portuguese have to take care of the workers who can't work for a period of time...  

The students consider the length of lessons and their mobility inside the school building, the Itlians find it unusual that the students move instead of the teachers.... The becoming a lot... they are  growing...

The Italian students have  just returned from a mobility linked to the Erasmus project in Portugal.They have been hosted by some Portuguese students and their families, they have attended their lessons at school and shared very enjoyable experiences all together.During this period, meeting each other, they have shared  knowledge and information, have appreciated their cultural characteristics and  habits and they have recorded some of their conversations... we are sharing them.

The list of impossible interviews grows... in class 3B the eldest students had a talk with   Martin Luther King and he gave his reasons to them... enjoy their conversation!

Some young students in class 1B were considering the importance and the effects of sport practice, so they decided to write a sketch to share with you...

An impossible interview collected by class 3A in I.C. Sacconi  drives us back to 1920s/30s when women had a deep difficulty to build a career, especially if they lived in the South of the United States and they were afroamericans...
