    Philadelphia: Christian Faithfulness and Loyalty Amid Challenges

    In this session, we examined the message of Christ to the Church in Philadelphia, focusing on Christ's declaration of open doors despite oppositions and challenges. Christ commended the church for keeping the faith, the word of His patience and not denying His name, despite their little strength. Believers are called to remain faithful and loyal to the Lord, men like Daniel, Joseph and the three Hebrews were, and we saw the open door God placed before them. We also see the fate of Judas, an example of disloyalty and double dealing, a warning to all.

    Thyatira - Growing, Serving but Seduced

    In this session, we examined the message of Christ to the Church in Thyatira, focusing on their growing Christian virtue of charity, service, faith and patience, but had harbored that woman Jezebel to seduce God's people, Like many in Thyatira, a large number of growing believers are permissive in their choices of who/what they listen to, resulting in a growing blemish and contamination. Jesus had to encourage and warn that overcomers are the ones who will keep the words of God to the end and will be given power over the nations.

    Pergamos: A Church at Satan's Dwelling Place

    Pergamos, the third of the churches. Pergamos was described as a Church dwelling where Satan dwells. Some of the key questions and issues discussed in this episode include: what it means to dwell where Satan dwelling is, and how can believers live victoriously in such environment.     Smyrna - A Message of Hope

    Smyrna, the second of the churches. Smyrna was described as a Church in tribulations, poverty and blasphemy of false brethren, Christ Jesus encourages the church to continue till the end. This letter is a message of hope to every saint experiencing tribulation, poverty and prejudice, for Christ knows your state, He calls you rich though you lack the good of this world, He knows the blasphemy of false brethren around you, and He encourages you to continue, for your present and future persecutions is only but for a moment, and they all work a far more exceeding weight of glory.

    Ephesus: A Church in Decline

    The Church in Ephesus, the first of the churches mentioned in Christ's letter, had declined in love. In this session, we examined the the context of the church at its beginning - based on Acts 19, to highlight the height and depth of their love for God amidst persecution and trials, then compared this to the description of their state at the time of the letter. Prayerfully listen to this session as the Holy Spirit admonishes and helps us sustain the beginning of our love, faith and hope in Christ.

    Tragedy in the Church (3) - Jezebels on the Pulpit

    This session is the third part in the subseries - Tragedy in the Church. In this session, we examined the message of Christ to the Church in Thyatira, who permitted the woman Jezebel to teach and to seduce Christ servants to sin.

    Tragedy in the Church(2) - Doctrines of Balaam and Nicolaitans

    In this session, we examined the second in the subseries - Tragedy in the Church, with specific focus on the doctrines of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, as mentioned by our Lord Jesus Christ. We emphasized the men, their maxims (doctrines), and their motives and their end.

    Tragedy in the Church (Synagogues of Satan)

    In this first part of the subseries titled - tragedy in the Church, we described the synagogues of Satan, what makes congregations, churches and chapels Satan's synagogue. We emphasized the need for watchfulness in these last days, as many would be deceived by false, delusional and subtle prophets who are perpetrating the works of Satan.

    He that overcometh...

    Christ in His message to all the Churches in Asia minor made promise to overcomers. During this session, we examined what it means to overcome, what we overcome and rewards for overcomers.

    Is Christ Satisfied with You?

    Is the Lord satisfied with you? This question comes to you and to me? For it is not yet the final assessment of our lives, but before the final assessment, what is the savior saying about our lives, what is that "but", "nevertheless" or "notwithstanding" that could stand against us on the day of reckoning? Today is for us to look at the assessment of the churches, and take caution.

    Behold, I Come Quickly...

    We examined Christ's writings to the churches in Asia Minor from a broad perspective during this session, focusing in particular on the approaching advent of Christ and its significance for us as Christians. We talked about what Christ had to say to each of the Churches, and what these mean for us.

    In this episode, we began to take a panoramic view of the letters Christ wrote to the Churches in Asia minor, starting with a phrase common to all the Churches. God knows our every action, open and secret, and these have implications for the final judgement, reward and how God assesses

    In this session, we continued along the lines of the previous study to examine briefly the topic of contentment, during this session, we emphasized that contentment, as a virtue of the soul can only be attained by learning Christ, using Paul's personal encounter as an example, amidst other biblical examples of this great virtue every Christian should attain

    Content or Covetous: How do you measure your life?

    A man's life consists not in the abundance of things. The question is - how do you measure your life and how would Christ have us measure our lives? In the light of Scriptural truth, in this episode, we considered briefly the topic of covetousness, and Christ's warning his disciples to beware and guard against this vice that destroys many souls and have denied many of true joy in this world, and will deny many eternal life.

    TEKEL: Weighed in the balances

    Daniel 5:27 - How will you live your life if you know an invisible hand notes your thoughts and actions? Every one of us will be subject to the weighing of God, where our actions on this side of eternity are weighed. We are called upon in this session to search ourselves, in the light of God's word, so that we do not come short on the day of visitation.

    Drawing Near: Abraham's Intercession for Sodom

    Genesis 19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. Lot's deliverance from Sodom and its environs was borne on the wings of God's mercy through the prayer of Abraham. In this episode, we examined briefly the prayer of Abraham and launched into prayers for our escape, and those of people close to us.

    In the session, we examined Abraham and Lot's type of parenting, emphasizing the importance of Godly instruction, choice and laying our children on the altar of the Lord.

    The dynamics in Lot's family reveal relevant cautions for every Christian family - for husbands, wives and parents alike. While many of these dynamics appear subtle, they point to very important lessons to be learnt when examined in the light of other families revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures.

    We examined the acts of the two daughters of Lot in the light of choices their father made. Why did they act the way they did? How did they get to Sodom? What were the actions of Lot their father, that brought about the life they led? And what can we as parents learn from these? Prayerfully listen, and be blessed.

    The Priorities of End-Time Ministry

    A special episode for ministers of the gospel. In this session, we looked at the ministry of the Angels in Sodom as a prototype for end-time ministration. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, we reviewed the men, their means, methods and message. We emphasized the need for power in delivering the end-time message, and the centrality of Christ to the mission of effective ministers in this last days.

    End Time Lots (2): The Perils of An Unsurrendered Life

    "Oh, not so, my Lord... I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil overtake me and I die... Behold, this city is near, and it is a little one..., is it not a little one? Let me escape thither, and my soul shall live." These were the words of Lot, a man brought of the Sodom, called to escape, but because of an unsurrendered will, settled for a little, near-Sodom(sin) city, where he could not find rest for his soul. In this episode, we emphasized the state of many believers on their way of conversion.

    A Call to Spiritual Mountaineering

    Lot - charged to escape, with clear instructions on why, how and where to escape to, These instructions form a pattern for all believers, as we journey to the celestial city. It is our prayer that God will open our hearts to see the import of these instructions for our journeying.
