Ep235 From Hurt to Healing to Helping Others w Mat Pazzarelli prt2

Part 2 I had everything a young man could want… until one drink flipped my entire life upside down. Before addiction took over my life, I was a successful young man in the music business, and by 22 I was managing a world champion fighter. But around that same age, I crossed an invisible line into alcoholism—and everything changed. Within months, I went from drinking alcoholically to trying cocaine, eventually shooting cocaine, smoking crack, and drinking nonstop. In 1989, I was diagnosed with HIV—initially misdiagnosed as AIDS. By 1990, I was living in and out of the subways of New York City, completely consumed by addiction. I tried for years to get sober—12 rehabs, 30+ detoxes, countless 12‑step meetings. Nothing worked. Then on October 9, 2001, God did for me what I could never do for myself. I had a sudden, immediate spiritual experience—and I have never taken another drink since. For the last 23 years, my life has been built on recovery, discipline, and faith. My story is proof that no one is too far gone and that God can restore what addiction tried to destroy.

I survived trafficking, heroin addiction, prison, and loss that should have destroyed me — but somehow, I’m still here. I’ve carried trauma that nearly swallowed me whole. But I’ve also witnessed miracles. After seven years in prison and almost fourteen years fighting to rebuild my life, I’m now nearly eight years sober, a college graduate, a homeowner, and a mother restored to her daughters. God didn’t just save my life — He rebuilt it. Today, I share my story to reach anyone who feels too far gone, too broken, or too ashamed to believe change is possible. If you’re searching for hope, healing, redemption, or proof that God still rescues people… you’ll find it here.

Ep231 45 Years Addicted BUT God (Tony Gibson)

After 45 years addicted, God stepped in and saved my life. Tony Gibson spent nearly five decades trapped in addiction—starting at just 12 years old. Everything changed the day he was arrested after dropping meth in a gas station. Tony says that moment was God stepping in to rescue him. While in jail, Tony attended: A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope (ABLBH) Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) There, he rediscovered hope, rebuilt his faith, and finally surrendered the life that had been destroying him. Today, Tony continues attending meetings and is committed to helping others break free from addiction and find the same freedom he found through God. If you or someone you love is struggling, this testimony is a reminder that no one is too far gone for God to redeem. 🔔 Subscribe for more real stories of faith, recovery, and redemption.

Ep229 From Rock Bottom to Redemption (Justin Kinney)

My journey into addiction began as an attempt to cope with stress, pressure, and emotions I didn’t know how to handle. What started as escape slowly became dependency, leading me into substance abuse, destructive thinking, and deep isolation. On the outside, I looked like a successful teacher and coach. On the inside, I was falling apart. In 2019, I entered treatment, and that decision became the turning point. Sobriety became more than staying clean—it required accountability, humility, discipline, and a renewed relationship with God. Recovery forced me to confront pride, fear, and my need for control. Faith shifted from something I talked about to something I surrendered to. I learned to focus on what I could control, release what I couldn’t, and rebuild my life one choice at a time. Today, I’m sober and living intentionally through spiritual discipline, gratitude, service, and honest self-examination. I’m also preparing to release my book, From Rock Bottom to Redemption, a faith-based recovery story centered on responsibility, transformation, and the daily work of rebuilding a life—endorsed by Damon West.

Ep226 Two Barbers, One Mission: Bringing Hope- Landon Grimes & Levi Vollrath

In this inspiring episode of Faith In Your Recovery, two men who once sat on opposite sides of addiction, incarceration, and hopelessness sit down to share how God used a simple haircut to change everything. Landon experienced addiction through his brothers’ actions and consequences. He believes ministry isn’t limited to preaching—it’s lived out through action. With deep faith and a pair of clippers, Landon shares God’s love in a way people can feel. Levi’s story mirrors many who grow up surrounded by addiction. His childhood home was filled with drugs and alcohol, leading him into his own addiction, years of incarceration, and even a near attempt on his life. Recovery didn’t come easily—he stumbled more than once—but God never stopped pursuing him. Landon Grimes and Levi Vollrath first met inside the Jay County Jail, where they both were offering free haircuts through A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope to the inmates. What began as a practical act of service quickly became a moment of connection, dignity, and hope—one that God continues to use to keep propelling two powerful ministries forward. This episode explores how an act of service became the spark that connected Landon and Levi—two men on different journeys but with the same mission: to bring hope, dignity, and the love of Jesus to those battling addiction. You’ll hear how their ministries have grown, how God continues to use their gifts, and why something as simple as a haircut can open the door to redemption.

At 28, after relapsing at 22 months sober, she attempted to end her life by shooting herself in the chest. Miraculously, she survived—and experienced a spiritual awakening in the psych ward. But the battle continued: four DUIs, a near 10‑year prison sentence, and a relapse six months after giving birth that led to her dying twice from alcohol poisoning. Rehab didn’t stick. Nothing did. Until she attended an all‑women’s AA retreat, where she encountered God in a life‑changing way. In a moment of surrender, God removed every craving—alcohol, meth, painkillers—instantly. She has been sober ever since. Today, Laura is married, employed, licensed again, and dedicated to helping others find freedom. My name is Steven Cobb. Growing up, there was only one crowd I fit in with—the stoners. I started smoking weed when I was 9 years old, and by the time I hit high school, I was a full-blown tweaker who had tried almost every drug out there. At 13, I caught my first case and spent a year and a half locked up in juvenile hall. By 16, I was back inside for another stretch. My life became a cycle of drugs, jail, prison, and homelessness. I was lost, angry, and empty—until I met Jesus. He pulled me out of the darkness and gave me a purpose I never thought I’d have. Today, I’m living proof that God can redeem anyone, no matter how far gone they think they are.Helpful links:YHWH-Radio Ltd Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61562958226586TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stevencobb74?_t=ZP-90jgMeTQket&_r=1yhwh-radio.comIf you want to share your story or submit music to be played on the radio, please email [email protected]

Ep188 From Monster to Messenger: Nicky Gracious' Journey of Faith, Music, & Freedom

🙌 From Monster to Messenger: Nicky Gracious’ Story of Faith, Music & Freedom 🙌 I was a MONSTER. My story began in a home filled with constant domestic violence against my mom. When I got out, I fell deeper into darkness, turning to the needle. After overdosing, I began hearing voices that pushed me to the brink. In my lowest moment of despair, I cried out to YHWH, and He answered. He saved me. Today, I travel across the United States, sharing my testimony and pouring my heart into music that glorifies Yahusha Ha Mashiach. My mission is to inspire others to break free from addiction, violence, and hopelessness. 🎤 Upcoming Events: 📍 Portland, IN September 5, 2025: Hope Fest inside the Jay County Security Center/closed performance for inmates and staff September 6, 2025: Hope Fest Health Fair at the Jay County Jr/Sr High School 💥 Follow my journey of recovery, faith, and transformation. https://nickygraciousmusic.com/ / @nickygraciousmusic 👉 Subscribe, Like, and Share to help spread the message of redemption and hope. #FaithOverFear #FromPrisonToPurpose #Testimony #ChristianMusic #RecoveryJourney #HopeFest2025
