Far From Home is a podcast that explores the mental health and emotional well-being of international students at UC San Diego through a series of personal interviews. Focusing on East Asian international students, one of the largest international student communities on campus, this project highlights the experiences and challenges that many students face but are not always openly discussed. Through conversations with five UCSD students from different backgrounds, we share personal stories of adjusting to a new environment, navigating cultural differences, dealing with homesickness, balancing academic pressure, overcoming language barriers, and finding a sense of belonging.
