Fate/moon archive
by Crying Rules Actually
Welcome to Fate/moon archive, a critical deep dive into the worlds of Type-Moon! Hosts Benn {Doomgender} Ends (they/she) and fen (fae/faer) start in the doujin circle days with Tsukihime, up to the internationally acclaimed Fate/stay night, and towards the modern era of Type-Moon with Fate/Grand Order. We work our way through (loosely) chronologically, playing, watching, and discussing in depth the themes, ideas, and execution of this long running series from a queer perspective. Each episode is supplemented by (loosely) related media ranging from manga, games, yuri, literature, and eroge, to preserve a diversity of lens through which to analyze our main subject. As the podcast boasting the highest opinion of Tsukihime in the English-speaking world, our taste is impeccable, our guest hosts unimpeachable, and our suffering endless. Join us, and one day, let’s meet in the digital sea.

Moon Archive 139: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 5 Acts 4, 5, Final & Special Act]
The brief yet challenging era of Prototype comes to a close with an unbelievable, jaw dropping twist! Not from the book, but from one of your beloved hosts! For Yuri Teatime we're also wrapping up the Chiaki route of White Album 2 with some highs and some lows, which is more than could be said...
-
Moon Archive 138: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 5 Acts 1-3]
white album 2 is good again?! chiaki being evil has saved us from our run of underwhelming sections of wa2. she's such a freak. also a freak? manaka, but she's deeply boring with it. volume 5 of protofragments is focused on her an unfortunately doesn't have any new insight to her character. next...
-
Moon Archive 137: Fate/stay night Movie: UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS (2010)
gonna be honest, we recorded this one a month and a half ago so the details escape me. unlimited blade works is bad, chiaki is intentionally(!) exhausting, you should listen. next time, we'll be covering fate/prototype fragments of sky silver v5 and the first half of the chiaki route. featuring...
-
Moon Archive 136: Fate/Labyrinth
we're wandering around a labyrinth this week along with manaka and... is that saber? real saber?? the girl one?! next time, we'll be covering unlimited blade works (2010). that's the movie, not the tv show. and for yuri teatime we're covering the chiaki bad end of white album 2. the whole thing,...
-
Moon Archive 135: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 4 Prologue & Acts 4, 5, & Special]
it's really unfortunate that both fate/prototype and white album 2 hit their nadirs at the same time. prototype is here to remind us that women make great moms at the exclusion of everything else. over in white album 2, we start the worst route and immediately understand why it has that…

Moon Archive 134: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 4 Prologue & Acts 1-3]
they're calling it an episode of the year. koharu has some good stuff for us to dig into but ultimately leaves us disappointed while protofragments has opinions about women that are... disappointing to say the least. next time, we'll be covering the remainder of protoframents volume 4. for yuri...

Moon Archive 133: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 3 Acts 4-6 & Special Act]
this time on fate/moon archive we enter the route of our second favorite closing chapter girl, koharu. as she and haruki build one of the least firm foundations for a relationship i've ever seen, the ogisou siblings suffer and koharu has her looking glass insects arc at school. also, some stuff...

-
Moon Archive 131: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 2 Acts 5, 6, and Special Act]
we continue our run of short episodes with volume 2 of protofragments which is... more of the same for better and worse. over in white album 2, haruki and setsuna are in hell, trapped in a dance neither of them has been able to stop for the past three years. next time, we'll be covering the first...
-
Moon Archive 130: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 2 Acts 1-4]
A nice short episode this time around as we cover the first half of Prototype Fragment's 2nd volume and meet an.... actually kind of compelling character who will unfortunately be trapped in muppets baby form for the duration of our reading. Over in White Album 2 land, Haruki fucks up! Bad! Get...
-
Moon Archive 129: Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver [Volume 1 Acts 6 & Special Acts]
this week: proto fragments continues to baffle but we get to the end of volume one at least. and white album 2 continues to be great as haruki gets himself mired even deeper in relationship drama as the band puts on a show. next time, we'll be covering volume 2 acts 1-4 of fate/proto fragments.…

Moon Archive 121: Fate/Extra CCC [Chapter 7: I Love You - Depths of the Young Maiden]
we've reached the end of our time with ccc for now (we're doing gil's route and the true end next year), and it's a rather unsatisfying ending for all involved, but mostly us. some of that was to be expected, since there are as many questions left unanswered as there are sakuras we could have…
