Feeding Lambs S1E10 “God Sees Me”
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Sees Me” uses Genesis 16:13 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only sees us, but He shows up in order that we might see Him. We discuss that Hagar is in an unfavorable situation. Many themes are too adult for lambs, but the main gist is that sometimes all of us are put into positions that we didn’t ask to be in, but that God doesn’t abandon us in any place. He loves the servant girl just as much as Father Abraham. He was on her side, ready to bless her in spite of the curses she was having to endure. Just in the moment when we think all hope is lost, He will show up. The preincarnate Christ met Hagar in the desert that day and she called God by the name of El Roi for the first time in scripture. He wanted her to know she was seen, but most of all, He wanted her to see Him. It’s not the miracle that we are seen, but because we are seen we can behold Him. If we can see Him, we can imitate or mirror Him. Once we see His love, we can walk in His example. It’s awesome! It’s good to know that we are never forgotten, never alone. In the good times and bad. His eye never leaves us! Look for Him, and you will find all the ways He is looking at you. What a beautiful exchange! The most important place we can connect with our children is through sharing our faith. God at the center of any relationship only allows it to become as strong as it can be. Don’t just build memories of vacations, adventures, sports, or school, build memorials of faith that will last throughout eternity. We pray that you will listen with your children and let these “mini podcasts” be a doorway to having important conversations about living out their faith, and what it means. Take time to ask them questions and really engage in their spiritual walk! It’ll transform the whole spiritual dynamic of the family if you will. Please feel free to let your children know that they can reach out—with help from their parents of course—with any questions or topics that they would like to see covered, or they can send in recordings of them doing their weekly memory verses! We want them to know that this podcast is just as much for them as it is for the teens/adults. Can’t wait to see how they grow from here!God bless, and thank you for the opportunity to speak into their lives. What an honor it is!

Feeding Sheep S1E10 “Sermon on the Mount: Prayer, The Golden Rule & Two Gates”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 10, Prayer, The Golden Rule, & Two Gates, which will take us through the last few steps of how we are to love God and people, how we are to interact with them, and segway us into walking out our salvation in practical manners with the introduction of the gates..We go over “Ask, Seek & Knock” to begin with, finding that it doesn’t just mean do each of these three things one time and it’s a done deal, but the literal translation actually means, “keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking.” In doing so, while we are waiting to receive, find, and walk through the open door, we are coming into alignment with God’s desires and His heart for us. So if our asking, seeking, or knocking is in the wrong direction or amiss, we have time for Holy Spirit to work in our hearts to bring us back to the same page as God. It helps to keep us in His perfect will for our lives. The Golden Rule—treat others the way you would have them treat you! It is not an old wives tale, but it is actually scripture. We must remember that if we wouldn’t want it done to us, then we shouldn’t do it to our brothers and sisters. Jesus is serious about it! How we carry each other, or handle each other really matters. We’re not just caring for “people,” we are caring for His creation! People who are made in the very image and likeness of God. Then we are introduced to the two gates. The Narrow Gate which leads to life, and the Broad Gate which leads to destruction. Gates have always been important in scripture. They set up a boundary and guard what the walls protect. Everything must be checked at the gate because there are just some things that DO NOT belong in the city. Gates are also places of exchange. They are points of transaction. Our old life must be left outside of the Narrow Gate. Sin does not belong past its entrance. The transaction is salvation that takes place at the Narrow Gate. A laying down of my old life to pick up a new one in Christ. Next we will be talking about how we walk once we get past the gate! I’m excited, and I hope you will join me. Only two more episodes left before we finish Season 1! Man how time flies!!I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Can’t wait to see where we grow from here. It’s an honor to be able to speak into your lives, and I don’t take it for granted!

Feeding Sheep S1E9 “Sermon on the Mount: Judging, what is it?”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 9, Judging, what is it?, will teach us that there is a fine line between judging and discerning. The whole world takes these verses from Matthew 7 and crucifies Christians whenever they hold people accountable for their actions. When Jesus says don’t judge, He doesn’t mean turn a blind eye, or act like things aren’t happening. We are going to see when things don’t line up. But just as with everything in the Sermon on the Mount so far, it’s ALL about the posture of the heart. If what we see or discern causes us to tear down and act like Pharisees, then our heart is wrong. If what we see and discern drives us to pray for our brothers and sisters and cover them with grace, then we are not going against the teachings of Jesus. One particular revelation that I received in prepping for this message is about the log and specks in the eyes. I don’t want to spoil it, so you’ll have to listen to get the good stuff, but it’s a game changer for sure!! Very convicting, but in the best of ways. I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Feeding Lambs S1E9 God has a Plan for Me
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God has a Plan for Me” uses Ephesians 2:10 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only made us, but He created and chose us with a plan for our whole lives in mind. Just like we plan our day, week, or weekend or how mom’s meal plan and teacher’s make lesson plans, God has a plan for our lives already mapped out.We don’t have to worry about what we are going to do, or being in His perfect plan, as long as we are in right relationship with Him. The Bible tells us that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He delights in His way, so if we are praying, reading and listening, our desires are lining up with God’s desires for us, and our obedience to what we hear from God puts us right in the steps on the path that He has planned for us to take. His plan begins with salvation, being “born again,” or asking Jesus into our heart…however you may be familiar with saying it, and then we progress from that beginning into the fullness of His plan for us. We don’t have to worry about figuring it out, because He already has! There’s such a peace in knowing that, and if our little lambs can learn to trust God and His plan now, there will be so much less anxiety in their lives over what the future holds. They will just walk right into it! Being led by the Holy Spirit of course! The most important place we can connect with our children is through sharing our faith. God at the center of any relationship only allows it to become as strong as it can be. Don’t just build memories of vacations, adventures, sports, or school, build memorials of faith that will last throughout eternity. Feeding Sheep S1E8 “Sermon on the Mount: Anxiety & the Antidote”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 8, Anxiety & the Antidote, will teach us that Christ’s plan for us is to live in peace and not torment.Worry does not add anything to our lives, it merely subtracts. It takes the life out of living. The peace from our minds will vanish if we do not guard our thoughts and be diligent to live a life of gratitude, prayer, faith, and unrelenting trust in the Lord as our provider.Jesus mentions the birds and the lilies. He affirms the value of humanity is worth much more than the animals or the flowers. You have inherent value as an image bearer of the Most High God. You have always been worth it to the Lord. Nothing you can do will make you less worth it—or more worth it. You are just worth it friend! The birds trust that every morning they wake up there will be a worm or a bug to eat, a branch to land on when they’re tired, and a waterhole somewhere to drink from. They trust because 100% of their days it has been that way, so it must be true. The lilies are planted and buried in soil, if you will, and must trust in an unseen outside force to bring the water, the sun, and the nutrients necessary for it to thrive. No hands to water itself, no source of its own. But yet it trusts and grows in a steady, solid pace, into what it must become. The Lord is asking us to be like this. The world/the lost/the Gentiles/etc seek after things to fill them up. The more they possess, the more full they will be, only to realize that no amount of money, possessions, success or lovers will ever keep you satisfied if you don’t have a relationship with Jesus. He is the source of fulfillment. Everything means nothing if He’s not in it. The believer also seeks—-all people were made to seek—but sons and daughters seek His kingdom, His righteousness and depend on Him to supply all of their needs. He never promised us our wants, but He did say we would have what we needed. Yet, He is still so kind, that He will give us some of our wants, when they do not go against His will or plans for our lives. He shows up in the smallest ways that make the biggest impact on us.One way to combat anxiety is to take control of your thought life through prayer and gratitude. We went to Phillipians 4:6-8 for a list of what we can choose to think on instead of what fills us with worry, anxiety or fear. Listeners are encouraged to write these scriptures down and put them somewhere you can see them, so that this discipline may be adopted into your life.I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Feeding Lambs S1E8 God Helps Me
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Helps Me” uses Psalm 46:1 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only helps us, but He is our strength and our refuge or “safe place” in times of trouble. The most sure fire way to receive help from anyone is to simply ask. We ask grownups for help for everything, from making food to tying shoes to homework, studying, and for clarity on questions. God is the same way, but we ask Him for help through our prayers. When we invite Him in to our lives and situations through prayer, He shows up.We discuss three areas God can help us in. He can help us focus—whether it be to get chores finished, homework done, studying, or even helping us on a test. He isn’t going to make us “magically” pass a test we didn’t study for, but when we do our part to listen, learn, and retain knowledge, He will help us by bringing what we have put in to our remembrance. You can’t recall what was never there. He can help us with our attitude, causing us to show love, be generous, and be kind, even when we wake up in not the best mood ever. He also helps us in our times of trouble. When we “get in a bind,” “in a pickle,” or we’re “between a rock and a hard place.”There is never a situation that we face that He will not show up to help. He is Omnipresent, meaning He’s everywhere all the time! We will never be somewhere that He isn’t. Please show your kids that even as adults we need help. It is so beneficial to know when you are young where to go when you are in trouble. Yes your loved ones and friends help you, but God is the only one who is never too far away. The most important place we can connect with our children is through sharing our faith. God at the center of any relationship only allows it to become as strong as it can be. Don’t just build memories of vacations, adventures, sports, or school, build memorials of faith that will last throughout eternity. Feeding Sheep S1E7 Sermon on the Mount: Fasting & Treasure
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 7, Fasting & Treasures, will show us God’s way of fasting in it’s simplest form and call for us to examine the posture of our hearts. Fasting in it’s simplest explanation—there could be a whole season on this topic or more—is a time of abstaining from food and sometimes drink, to come away in a time of prayer and communion with the Lord for a specific purpose. It is not supposed to be evident to others that it is what you are doing, it is a private time of devotion between you and the Lord. People fast for many different reasons alone or corporately for a specific purpose, to get in alignment with God’s will, or to break down strongholds in our lives that we haven’t been able to move past. Just like giving and praying, we are instructed to not fast to be noticed by men, but rather to be noticed by our Father who is in heaven. It is to be done in secret so that He can reward us openly. There are blessings that He bestows upon us on this side of heaven, for which we are grateful, but there will come a day when all the nations, tribes, and tongues are gathered together at the throne room of God, and it is there that all of the little and big thins we did FOR HIM will be rewarded openly in front of all! What a magnificent thought to imagine! When the One we labored for applauds us in front of ALL of His creation. He truly will never be outdone in any area!He then calls us to examine where our heart is, by encouraging us to not be held captive by this world and the temporal things that will one day pass away. If our hearts are to win the approval of men, that will be our only reward. He’s not saying it’s wrong to have material possessions, but it becomes wrong when those “things”/“relationships”/etc. have us. We can not be devoted to God and to the appetite of our flesh. We dress it up pretty, but it’s either heaven or hell, Jesus or Satan, Good or evil. There is no middle ground. The line of separation is like a thin sheet of paper. You can try to walk that line as long as you can, but eventually you will lose your balance and fall to one side or the other. Make sure that you’re making a clear choice. Don’t leave your eternity to chances or perhapses that you may or may not fall on the side of Christ. We cannot serve or give ownership and governing rights to two different entities. It will tear us apart, or in an act to self preserve we may make wrong allegiances to the enemy’s camp. The Spirit of the Lord hit me so heavy during this episode. I almost didn’t do it because of leaving for a mission trip, but I felt the urge to press on and do it anyway. Someone needs this word today. Someone needs to hear. Someone is on the fence and needs to know the Truth and make a decision. I have prayed for you! The LORD has prayed for you! Choose Him. He has chosen you. He’s calling you friend! Share this with someone who needs Jesus! I know that God is knocking on the door of hearts with this episode. I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. Feeding Lambs S1E7 God Forgives Me
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Forgives Me” uses 1 John 1:9 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only forgives us, but He also cleanses us. We journey back to last week and connect the dots between how Jesus was wounded and bruised for our iniquities and transgressions allowing forgiveness to take place because He paid the debt of our sins with His blood on the cross. He was wounded and bled on the outside for the sins we commit outwardly that everyone can see. He was bruised and bled on the inside for the sins that we commit inwardly that only He can see. Sin requires a payment of blood through a sacrifice that must die, going all the way back to Old Testament law. Jesus became that sacrifice for our debt of sin and paid it in full with His blood on the cross. In 1 John 1:9 the original meaning of forgiveness is to let go, to release from the penalty of a debt, to willingly choose to not hold a grudge against the accused. Not only does God forgive us when we take responsibility and confess our sins, but He cleanses us from the stains that sin leaves behind in its aftermath. He wants to forgive, but until we confess, it won’t take place. It is important to be truthful and take accountability for the wrongs we have done. To not only confess and be sorry for them, but to walk in repentance which means to turn away from that sin and go in a new direction—His direction. His forgiveness doesn’t always release us from the consequences on this earth for our sins, but it does release us from the eternal punishment and we stand before Him justified, cleansed and forgiven—as if it never happened. He doesn’t remind us of our sins, or beat us over the head with them. He chooses willingly to not harbor bitterness against us.It is important to create a safe environment for our kids to be open and honest with us, to show them they can be open and honest with God. That consequences are probable for sins/wrongs committed, but once it’s over, it’s over. Let us love them like God and not hold their mistakes over their head. It will make them misidentify themselves with the wrongs they have done, instead of being able to move past those things and into their futures. Feeding Sheep S1E6 “Sermon on the Mount: The Lord’s Prayer”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 6 will be the continuation of The Sermon on the Mount, called “The Lord’s Prayer,” and we will be continuing in Matthew 6.Today we will discuss how the Lord’s Prayer is not something we say, rinse and repeat, but it’s more of a model structure that we follow to formulate our prayers. There are specific areas that Jesus addresses in this simple prayer, but they are pivotal to the efficacy of our prayer life. First, our prayers are not about the quality or quantity of our words, but the content and posture of the heart that the prayer proceeds from. Secondly this teaching is the BASICS of prayer. There are oceans full of revelation and teaching on prayer. We could do a whole season on prayer, but please remember this is just a 30 minute segment of something we could teach on for years! But the basics will give you the foundation for what you need.Important bullets to include in your prayers: 1. Acknowledge the Lord, His headship and authority, His seat and position in the heavenlies, high and exalted above all things. Reverence His name because it is worthy of respect, honor and awe.2. Come into alignment by realizing that prayer is not about us, but it’s about the bigger picture plan of His kingdom and the role that God has for us to fulfill in His kingdom purpose. Recognizing that prayer is not just communication with God but it’s a weapon to push back the darkness. His will, when prayed back to Him, is giving Him access to bring heaven to the earth.3. We pray for daily bread, understanding that it has a dual meaning, not keeping me living in one day at a time as some people teach, but praying that He gives us daily bread for ALL of our days, not just the present day. It is NOT wrong to pray or acknowledge that we have a future. It is very scriptural. He doesn’t want us to worry, be overcome by anxiety or fear of our future, because that ISN’T scriptural. We don’t dictate our future, but we recognize the possibility, and pray that God gives us what we need in the days that He has allotted for us on the earth.4. We must be willing to repent and to forgive. You cannot walk in repentance without giving forgiveness. God commands the blessing where unity dwells. So repentance unifies us to God, forgiveness unifies us with our brothers and sisters, thus, if we don’t walk in repentance and forgiveness in order that heaven can reach earth. He will withhold forgiveness, because we are withholding progress to His kingdom plans and purpose. When we give, He will give, and things will flow like they need to.5. Pray that distractions do not deter you from God’s will and purpose. Temptations are not from God but they come from our own lusts, so when we keep ourself submitted to God’s will and walk in the spirit we won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh. We end the prayer the same way we start—focused on Him, His kingdom, His power and His glory—AMEN! So be it!I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Feeding Lambs S1E6 God Heals Me
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Heals Me” uses Isaiah 53:5 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only made us, but He also heals us. We journey back to episode one and connect the dots between how God makes us with how He heals us.In Psalm 139:13 which is the verse before our memory verse for Episode 1, says the He knit us together in our mother’s womb. Indicating not only that He formed us with His own two hands like clay as we discussed, but He also knit us together which is a form of sewing, that pays attention to every intricate detail of who we are. In Isaiah 53:5 the Hebrew word for healed is the word “rapha.” It is where we get the name of God Jehovah Rapha, The Lord who heals. Rapha in its most primitive form means to mend—by sewing. How cool is that? The God that sewed us together in our creation will sew us back up when we are wounded in our bodies, minds, souls and spirit. When He heals us, He restores completely. He leaves no “tape and glue” behind. No scars. It is seamless, flawless, just as if it never happened. He purchased our healing at the whipping post which was one of the first stops before Calvary. We discuss the crucifixion just a little bit, but will likely get more in depth with it in next weeks episode, “God forgives Me,” so please be aware and prepared if your little lamb has questions about what crucifixion looked like and what Jesus’ sacrifice actually entailed. I’m sorry, but not sorry, because I believe in giving them the truth in a way they can wrap their minds around it. To give them the facts, without being gory in the details. So if you want to preview next week’s episode before they listen, just in case you’re not comfortable with the way I explain, please feel free to do so. They are your children, I am just here to be as helpful as I can in giving the word in it’s truest form to help them on their faith journey and to help you as you endeavor to disciple them. Feeding Sheep S1E5 “Sermon on the Mount: Audience of One”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 5 will be the continuation of The Sermon on the Mount, called “Audience of One,” and we will be beginning Matthew 6.The lessons in these first few verses deal with how we give alms, and public prayer. While there are instructions for both that we discuss, the main principle lesson—the message within the message is this, that whatever you do, you do it as unto the Lord.We don’t give or pray for applause from men or to be noticed by our peers. We give as unto the Lord to bless others because that is His heart. He will reward what is done in secret. We don’t pray for men to hear us and fawn over how articulate with carry on, but so that God will hear and answer us. Giving and prayer are not tools that we manipulate to further our status in life or better our appearance. They are ways that we honor the Lord and His heart. A way in which we worship. In a world full of cameras, and trying to get the reel that’s gonna go viral, we must make sure that we are not exploiting the ones we are ministering to. We discuss the difference in accountability to those who may have partnered with us monetarily or through prayer to see God’s work done, and trying to get the “money” shot. Someone who has fallen on hard times doesn’t want their face plastered all over the internet of you giving them a meal. There are tactful ways of documenting outreaches that don’t demean or shame those that are receiving from those places. Next week we will discuss the Lord’s Prayer, and the structure that Jesus gave for those starting out in prayer. It is the ultimate model, the first model He gave to the people, so it’s worthy of paying attention to. If you’re not confident in your prayer life, don’t miss next week, because I believe the basics of prayer is just what you need. Just the launching pad you have been looking for!I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Feeding Lambs S1E5 “God Listens to Me”
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Listens to Me” uses Psalm 116:1-2 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God not only speaks to us, but He also listens to us. He listens to our prayers, and distinguishes us not only by name, but by the sound of our specific voice.Just like a parent knows their child’s voice in a crowd, God is the same way with us. Not only can He hear all of us at the same time, but He can understand each of us fully, and knows who we are by our distinct sounds. It’s incredible. It truly is fascinating and life changing when we really understand the reality that God LISTENS to us! I asked the kids today to start a prayer journal, so they could keep track of what they have been talking to God about. When He answers their prayers, they can mark them off, or recognize progress in those areas. This exercise will help them know that not only does God listen to them, but He answers prayers. This would be a great start to discuss with your littles about them developing the way they communicate with the Lord. Take advantage of this moment and engage with them! Tell them of how you know that God listens to you and answers your prayers.

Feeding Sheep S1E4 “Sermon on the Mount: Head vs Heart Part 2”
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 4 will be the continuation of The Sermon on the Mount, ending our discussion on relationships with people, entitled “Head vs. Heart Part 2.”Jesus lays His foundation for preaching/teaching by quoting two of the Ten Commandments. He addresses murders and adultery; both sins against our fellow man, and were understood as outward expressions/deeds/actions.Jesus is going to destroy the religious mindset that tries to build well behaved people, and shows us that it is not the outward manifestations of these actions that are the problem. Murder never comes out of nowhere. Before adultery is ever born in a bedroom, it is conceived in the heart.Jesus came to fulfill the heart of God, which is for us to be transformed from the inside out! To love one another from pure hearts and sincere faith. To never allow ourselves to strip our fellow man of their worth. You will never meet a person God doesn’t love, and you will never meet a person that is here by accident. God’s yes and amen had to be over their conception for them to even exist. We also discuss an interesting take on if your right hand/right eye offends you cut it off/pluck it out. Can’t wait for you to hear it. Whatever keeps you stumbling, do whatever it takes, take whatever measures necessary to make sure it doesn’t keep you stumbling forever. Your eternity is way more valuable than temporary pleasure. In Part 2 of Head vs. Heart we tackle more ways to live at peace and unity in all of our relationships!! We begin with the HOT TOPIC of divorce and what that means in context to what Jesus is releasing to the people as opposed to what one might think just skimming by. There’s no need to avoid His word, not when we can understand it.We talk about not jumping into petty arguments, an eye for an eye, and being a people of integrity. Let our yes be yes and our no be no. Keep it simple. There’s less room for error that way! The point of all of this is to be perfect—mature, reaching the end-goal—because our Father is perfect/complete/entire/lacking nothing, and we should be—and want to be a reflection of who He is!We will start tackling Chapter 6 next week! I hope you’ll tune in!I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together!

Feeding Lambs S1E4 “God Talks to Me”
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Talks to Me” uses John 10:27 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss how God speaks to us in everyday life. He talks through His word, by His Holy Spirit, through signs in creation, and through answered prayers. While we communicate through our voice and spoken word, or sign language if we are hearing impaired, God’s most common way of speaking is not audibly. While there are examples in scripture where people hear His voice out loud, it is not the most common way that people hear Him today. The written word is so important, because it is how we learn to discern the voice of God, his character and nature, and the lens by which we filter everything else through after learning to hear Him that way. Please help your child when reading scriptures and guide them in building the discipline of reading His word that will last a lifetime. It truly is fascinating and life changing when we really understand the reality that God TALKS to us! I asked the kids today to think about how God has been talking to them. This would be a great start to discuss with your littles about them developing the way they hear from the Lord. Feeding Lambs S1E3 “God Chose Me”
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Chose Me” uses John 15:16 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss what it means to be chosen by God. How Jesus hand picked his disciples from various places and called them forth to walk with Him.We take a look into how we understand being chosen and what that looks like to our world today vs. God’s definition of chosen. We choose from a mindset of strategy and what we deem the best or most appropriate to suit the needs of the situation we are in.God chooses from the heart, out of a place of love, not to strategically win a game, but to call us to Himself. He has chosen us out from among the sinful world just for Him. Wow!! It truly is fascinating and life changing when we really understand the reality that God CHOSE us, on purpose, for purpose! We pray that you will listen with your children and let these “mini podcasts” be a doorway to having important conversations about living out their faith, and what it means. Feeding Sheep S1E2 Sermon on the Mount Part 2 Salt & Light
Send us Fan MailWe are continuing steady in Season 1 titled “Back to the Basics.” Episode 2 will be Part 2 of The Sermon on the Mount, discussing Salt & Light. Many times as disciples, especially in new believers, we wonder what our calling is in this world. What does God want me to do with my life? Today’s episode is going to answer the age old question, with Jesus’ own words, in His very first public sermon. His desire for us, no matter what conduit or avenue we find ourselves in—preaching, teaching, worshipping, interceding in prayer, etc. when all of those are stripped down to their most basic and truest form, it all comes back to salt and light. We are supposed to be witnesses! That is our calling! The job description of every single disciple and follower of Christ. How we witness comes in different forms, but when it all boils down, we’re all just witnessing and glorifying Him in our own unique way!How freeing is it to know that those questions are answered!! Hallelujah!I hope you enjoy this episode and will continue to follow along with us as we endeavor to walk this path together, and sit at the table of the Lord and feast together! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments that you may have. We will do our best to answer in a timely manner either in writing or on another future episode! But we do want to hear from you and be able to interact with you. May God bless you! Feeding Lambs S1E2 God Loves Me
Send us Fan MailFeeding Lambs is for our youngest believers and friends in the kingdom. In season one, we are mirroring Feeding Sheep in the sense that we are covering topics that are getting us “back to the basics.”We will be discussing foundational truths in this season that everyone needs to know and be able to grow and build upon in the times to come. “God Loves Me” uses John 3:16 as our text of choice and memory verse for the week. We will discuss a little Bible history and the original Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic languages. We will see that it’s important to see out the original language in our studies to make sure that we are understanding the text correctly. Then we dive in and break down the meanings of “world” and “love” in our key verse. We take a look into how we understand love, how we relate to other people, and certain behaviors that are not correct when we walk and react from our emotions. We will learn that love is not merely an emotion or feeling, but it is an action, AND it is a choice. We also compare and contrast loving conditionally from the flesh, as opposed to loving how God love us, unconditionally. It truly is fascinating and life changing when we really understand the reality of love, the ways we show love, and that God loves us!We pray that you will listen with your children and let these “mini podcasts” be a doorway to having important conversations about living out their faith, and what it means. Take time to ask them questions and really engage in their spiritual walk! S1E1 “Back to Basics” Discipleship & Sermon on the Mount Part 1
Send us Fan MailDiscipleship & Sermon on the Mount Part 1In this episode we will be introducing our Season One theme of “Back to the Basics,” where will be discussing basic kingdom principles, Jesus’ most famous sermon (Sermon on the Mount), and other buzzwords that people say, but don’t always know how to explain to others. Episode 1 takes us on the journey of knowing what it means to be a disciple and to walk in discipleship. Endeavoring to bring a realistic view of what that looks like in our lives today, and placing the burden of discipleship on the actual disciple—seeing that the disciple is the one making the commitment to follow Christ. It is important not to shirk the responsibility of our commitments on to other people and blame them for our lack of private fellowship with Christ. We are literally walking side by side with Christ everyday, because He has sent us a built in teacher in the person of the Holy Spirit that lives in all born again believers. We look at the decisions made by the disciples to leave behind their old lives to commit to a life of walking with Christ. We also see that disciples come from ALL walks of life, and there is no precursor to becoming a follower of Jesus—-just merely that when He calls your name, you answer! Then we begin dissecting The Sermon on the Mount, which we will continue in the weeks to come, by going through The Beatitudes. The Lord’s heart for us is that we are blessed!! Not so much outwardly with fancy things, but prosperous and fortunate INWARDLY, so that the inward blessing can flow outwardly and effect everything and everyone around us. He doesn’t promise wealth or riches, but He does promise that we will be blessed. And it’s interesting to see a grounded perspective on what blessed actually means and looks like from His perspective.

And how that God is still forming each and every one of us to this day. How special are we?
