Exodus – Be Still
Exodus 14:14 says, "The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still." What does it look like to trust God when the circumstances of life overwhelm us? How do we follow God's presence when we're so busy trying to make it through today? Thank God for community in Jesus!

Exodus – Teach Your Children Well
In Exodus 13:1–16, God steps into Israel’s new freedom and immediately begins to shape how they will remember it—commanding that every firstborn be consecrated and every Passover generation be taught to remember that they were once slaves whom the Lord brought out with a mighty hand. This is not just a set of rituals; it is the formation of identity in real time. Because God knows that redeemed people are in danger of forgetting their redemption, He builds memory into their calendar, their homes, and even their children’s questions. And as we hear these ancient instructions, we’re forced to ask whether we too have become forgetful people—living in freedom but losing sight of the cost and the power behind it.

The Sounds of Palm Sunday
The "clop clop clop" of the donkey as Jesus rides into Jerusalem, the shouts of praise as God's people pray to be liberated from oppressive Rome, the sound of Pontius Pilate's parade as he tries to interrupt the Passover feast. There's a lot going on that first Palm Sunday, but one thing is clear – the King rides for you.

Exodus – It's Always Been about the Lamb
God protects His people from the angel of death by the blood of the Lamb, and that blood still protects His people today. The gospel is really a new exodus for the people of God. Let's dive into God's grace-filled judgment in Exodus 12.

Exodus – Bulls, Boils, and the Big Storm
God's judgment on Egypt continues, and the plagues keep coming. Some of the Egyptians even begin to listen to the God of Israel as the one, true God. If God allows our decisions to solidify our destiny, what can we learn about sin? How can we repent of our sin?

Exodus – Plagues Begin
In chapter 8, when God unleashes judgments on Egypt, the Pharaoh doesn't seem too bothered. He tells Moses he'll let him pray...tomorrow! The idea of tomorrow can cause to procrastinate and build a habit of refusing to listen to God. Beware of a hardened heart.

Exodus – Trusting God Through Discouragement
God promises to rescue, form relationship, and reward the Israelites, but they doubt Him. They wallow in their discouragement, the enemy's sharpest and most used tool. How can we continue to trust God to deliver in the midst of discouragement?

Moses' conversation with God from the burning bush teaches us how to listen and obey God's calling on our lives. What are we holding back from God?

Exodus – Moses Placed in the Nile
What's the history behind the events of Exodus 2? Why was the Pharaoh's daughter at the Nile River when she found baby Moses in the basket? And 40 years later, why would Moses kill an Egyptian who was beating a Hebrew slave? God had a plan.
-

Exodus – God Sees, He Hears, He's Concerned
The beginning of Exodus sets the scene. The Pharaoh has turned on the Hebrews in his land, and when forced labor doesn't work in getting their allegiance, he turns to killing baby boys. The Hebrews stay faithful to God, however, and He sees them. He's concerned, and He's got a plan to deliver them.

Resolutions with Nothing at Stake
At this time of year, it's popular to make some changes to your life, but research shows that people aren't going about resolutions in a successful way. Making changes can be good, but making sure that we know God's love is never at stake is even better. Even when we fail, we can get back up and keep pursuing Christ because in Him, we have been set free from sin. Happy New Year!

Carols of Christmas – Joy to the World
The nativity scene makes room for the weeping mother, Rachel in Matthew 2. Sometimes joy sounds like a trembling voice saying, “I still believe.” So church—whether you sing through smiles or tears today — lift your eyes. Joy to the world. The Lord has come. The Lord is coming again
-
307
Carols of Christmas – What Child Is This
Jesus asks His disciples in Matthew 16, "Who do you say that I am?" All of Scripture seeks to answer the question: who is this baby in a manger? How one answers that question can change and deepen our Christmas season.

-

Carpe Diem – Seeing What Is Unseen
Faith is not a new lens on life that helps us see or have all the answers. Faith is accepting that we don't have all the answers, but we trust the One who does. When Paul gets stuck in prison, he doesn't know whether he will live or die, but he commits himself to the preaching of the gospel and the unity of the Philippian church. With faith, we can persevere through whatever opposition comes our way.
-
298

Beginnings – By Grace Through Faith
Abraham is a liar. His lies provide enough reason for God to dismiss and judge him, but that's not what happens. Abraham lies about his wife, Sarah, again and again, but God uses a pagan king to show His grace. We are saved by grace through faith.
-
