Well, we stand by our "weekly" mantra, so this one is this week's episode -- we will take the weekend to prep for the following weekend, and that will put us back on the Sunday schedule. In any case, we woke up bright and early for a weird Academy tradition of nomination announcements at ungodly hours. We're clearly both no thoughts/head empty right when we wake up, so take this recording as a vulnerable offering to the masses; we know we're not at our prettiest.

Was Palm Springs the best movie of 2020 (that we watched?). I don't know -- maybe. We didn't watch that much. But we've upgraded our setup, and we're back for bigger, better things in 2021. Coming to you again every week!

Is this episode we talk about Eliza Hittman's Sundance hit, Never Rarely Sometimes Always. It's an understated, often heartbreaking, depiction of a teenager's abortion journey that we highly recommend, and it's certainly relevant in today's discussions. TW: sexual abuse, assault.
